RAW Road To Money in the Bank

Universal Championship - Last Man Standing
Seth Rollins(c) VS Kevin Owens

Back at Payback as soon as Seth Rollins(c) successfully retain the WWE Universal Championship against Roman Reigns. The man he beat for the championship aka Kevin Owens and his tag team partner Chris Jericho known as Y2KO. Launched a post match assault on both Rollins and Reigns, which saw the duo put Rollins through the announce table. With both Jericho and Reigns scheduled to take part in the MITB ladder match and a revengeful Rollins chomping at the bit. Monday Night RAW GM Mick Foley announced a huge Universal Championship for the MITB PPV. Seth Rollins(c) defending against Kevin Owens in a Last Man Standing match.

RAW Women's Championship
Charlotte Flair(c) VS Becky Lynch

Charlotte Flair(c) aka the reigning WWE RAW Women's Champion retained the gold at Payback against Awesome Kong by way of count out. At the same event Becky Lynch took part in and won a triple threat match to become the N1C to the title. Monday Night RAW General Manager Mick Foley would later make the title match official for the MITB ppv.


United States Championship
Samoa Joe(c) VS Sami Zayn

The final match coming from Monday Night RAW that was added the 2017 Money in the Bank event. Was a one on one men's division match for the WWE United States Championship between Samoa Joe(c) and Sami Zayn

Smackdown Road To Money in the Bank

WWE Championship
Dean Ambrose(c) VS Bray Wyatt

At WrestleMania 33 Night One, Dean Ambrose reclaimed the WWE Championship from AJ Styles. Then on the following night aka WrestleMania 33 Night Two, Bray Wyatt won a Number One Contender fatal four way match. At Backlash Ambrose(c) retained the gold against Styles in a two out of three falls match. Whereas Wyatt defeated Orton at the same event to remain the N1C to the WWE Championship. Setting up a meeting over the gold between the two men at Money in the Bank.

Smackdown Championship
Mickie James(c) VS Nia Jax

The current WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Mickie James(c) found herself the victim of repeated attacks from Nia Jax. James knew what Jax wanted so she asked FNS GM Daniel Bryan to make the match official for MITB which he did.

Intercontinental & Smackdown Tag Team Championships
John Cena & The Uso's(c) VS Finn Balor & American Alpha

Finally a six man tag team match was added to the event not just a regular match though no sir. This match would be for both the WWE Intercontinental and WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championships. With the respective current champions, John Cena (ICC) and The Usos (SDTTC) on one side. And on the other the N1C to the WWE ICC Finn Balor and the former champions American Alpha.
