I read that today is well, not sure how I feel about it. I would much rather see Punk in a live environment as opposed to a taped one.

I agree. It's hard to be the "pipe bomp" on the mic when it's recorded. It's got to be live and unpredictable with Punk.

If anything it's time for John Cena to return to SmackDown! where he got his break.

I would love to see Cena on Smackdown, just anything to give him a change! Honestly the main problem with him is there's nothing for him to do as a top face on Raw. As cliched as it sounds it's time to turn him heel or even just get him off Raw (even though it's a Supershow so he'd still be "on Raw" (so it shouldn't be too much of a problem)).

As much as I would rather Cena go to Smackdown! and Punk stay on RAW, I just don't see it happening. Cena is still one of the cash cows selling merchandise and putting a lot of money in the WWE so, they will want to keep him on the main show. I mean it would be great to see Cena go to Smackdown! because he is stale as hell on RAW and would probably boost ticket sells and ratings for Smackdown!

No one would have to go to RAW. As it is now, Cena is nowhere near the focus. He wasn't on the TLC PPV at all. And he's nowhere near the main event scene. CM Punk is the man on RAW right now. If Cena went to SmackDown! that would become his show. And think about this...

if John Cena defeats the Rock at WrestleMania, he could then go to SmackDown! and claim that he is now "taking" back the People's Show. Rock always claimed to have invented it.

Alberto Del Rio
Dolph Ziggler
Jack Swagger (if they choose to push him again)
R-Truth (has already competed for the WWE title)
Kane (if they choose to push that high again)

And honestly anyone they choose to. RAW is a supershow now. Mark Henry, Wade Barrett, etc...

You have to remember SmackkDown isn't doing too well on that main event scene either.

Orton's out now. So it's Mark Henry, Big Show and Daniel Bryan, more or less.

the raw elimination chamber match at the elimination chamber pay per view in feburary will be contested between cm punk, Alberto del rio, the miz, r truth, kane, and john cena. If wwe wants the match between cena and Dwayne at wrestlemania to be for the wwe title then cena will win. If not then punk will most likely win.
