2012 was a weird year where there was very few actual firings. Most of the wrestlers profiled in the video were ones who asked for their release (Bellas, Reks, Maxine, Kelly Kelly and Beth), stepped away for a little time away (Jericho), or their contracts just ran up (Edge). Then there was Kharma that seemed to be more of a mutual deal. The only real firings were Goldust and AW.

Yeah, definitely less actual firings this past year. Wonder how much Linda's campaign played a role? Makes you wonder if a cull is imminent.

I imagine Linda's campaign was the reason for the lack of firings. Look at the two guys who were fired:

- AW told a rape joke

- Goldust acting inappropriately on Twitter

So neither one was your traditional "Creative has nothing for you" excuse. Makes sense as Linda was pimping WWE's hiring practices as a plus for her. So it wouldn't have looked the best if said company was also releasing talent.

Linda is the whole fucking reason wrestling has a PG rating... fucking gay!

And yet...she isn't.

The big reason for the rating are the sponsors. Companies like Mattel are only working with the WWE if they maintain a certain rating.

THEY WANT TO REACH TO REACH OUT TO KIDS.

THAT'S WHY THEIR RATING IS 7 MILLION LOWER THAN THE ATTITUDE ERA

Think the Rock & Wrestling era fans growing up to be the attitude era fans. That's essentially what's happening now.

What is bringing back the Attitude Era going to solve?

I'll answer that...nothing. As great as the Attitude Era was in relation to the success of WWE and pro wrestling in general, it would be counterproductive to their product to regress. You never want to go back, you want to move forward. Recreating the era would only disappoint fans. The wrestlers have changed and the product as a whole has changed, so it is WWE's job to find the right formula that can appease most, if not all, of their fans in some form.

Everything always goes back to PG and "bring back the attitude era~!!". Please, stop. It all sounds dumb.
