I found that DVD the other day, I didn't know if I should have bought it or not, I'm still debating whether or not too.

Joey Styles wrote on his Twitter that the new WWE DVD will only feature footage from the original ECW. That's not what I had heard a few days back but they stand to sell more copies if there's only original footage. I would certainly push for the New Breed vs. Originals Extreme Rules match from ECW on SyFy to be included as it was by far the best match in the history of the "new" ECW. That stipulation was originally set for Wrestlemania 23 and then yanked as there was a fear that the eight man would burn out the crowd live before John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels, which is why the crazier bout ended up on ECW TV shortly after.

The "ECW's Biggest Matches" will also mark the first time any of the original ECW footage has been released in Blu-Ray format.
The current plan is to release the CM Punk DVD and Blu-Ray in September.

I actually wanted to see some of the new ECW matches on the DVD because there were a few good matches during that show. They have already done some match compilations for the old ECW so it wouldn't hurt to sneak a couple of the new matches into the DVD. Maybe down the line they can do a short two disc DVD of the best of WWE ECW :D

:( Don't want to wait that long for the CM Punk DVD, will be preordering that as soon as possible.

Damn! September is far away but I'm sure the time will go quick, heck, we're already in March and WrestleMania is almost here. I'm sure the DVD will be worth the wait too. Can't wait to buy it and give the doco a watch.

Why can't we get Ric Flair v.s Big Show from WWECW on there?

WWE: Falls Count Anywhere Matches.

Easy one to figure out, a compilation title of matches over the years in which pinfalls could happen anywhere! Most likely covering a history of the match, not limited to WWE.

It looks to be incoming for June 26th across the United States, and produced on both DVD and Blu-ray formats worldwide.

Did not see this one coming. Slightly odd gimmick to pick but I guess they have run through all the big gimmick matches so now they are working their way down the list of gimmick matches. Would have to see the match list before I would consider purchasing it.

Mick Foley has been confirmed as the host for the Falls Count Anywhere DVD and Joey Styles will host the ECW DVD. Good choices for both DVD's especially with the ECW DVD, be nice seeing Joey Styles on the screen again doing his thing.

I just ordered the 2011 PPV DVD package from WWEDVD.com.au for $74.95. It includes all 13 PPVs from last year on individual DVDs which I don't have any of them. Can't wait to get it.

Now probably about to buy Royal Rumble 2012 and get a free t-shirt with it or buy the Bret v Shawn DVD or the Jericho DVD. Decisions, decisions.. Which one should I get?

Good deal for every single 2011 PPV, that is a steal at that price.

I wouldn't buy the 2012 Rumble since it was simply okay, nothing great about it. Bret vs. Shawn sounds good.

Yeah, then I found out afterwards that JBHIFI had it for $67. Ah well, $8 is nothing.

I'll probably just get both, Royal Rumble this week and Bret vs. Shawn sometime later. I'm not completely sold on the Jericho DVD yet and don't want to pay full retail price anyway.

Has anyone watched the Rise & Fall of WCW?

I have the ECW one and it is incredible and I was wondering how the WCW compared to it.

The ECW one is like 20 times better. I watched some of the WCW one at Jaxs and we got fed up with all the stuff they left out.

They're both incredible. I really enjoyed WCW's, but I have to agree with KIF. The ECW documentary was done perfectly, and had recent interviews from practically every major star in the company. Even though some of those ECW guys seem nostalgic to unhealthy levels, they touched base on everything. My only knock was the absence of Shane Douglas, arguably the most important star in the company, but the likes of Tazz, Dreamer, Richards, and of course Heyman made up for it.

While I enjoyed the WCW one immensely, it really could have used more recent interviews. Some of those shots of Hogan, Bischoff, and Hall were plucked right out of 2003's Monday Night Wars dvd. And a lot of major stars like Buff Bagwell, Billy Kidman, Nash, and the Steiners were not in the documentary at all.

Well I found a new copy for $13 on ebay so I think that it is worth the risk. Sounds like it is a bit hit and miss and although I have already seen the Monday Night Wars DVD I think that for this price it should still be good value.

Whilst searching for that DVD I found another DVD that I have never seen before WWF Hardcore DVD from 2001. Has anyone seen that DVD? It was never released in Australia so I never even knew that WWE had released a DVD about the Hardcore division.
