Monday Night Raw
December 16th:
Des Moines, Iowa
December 16th:
Des Moines, Iowa
-----------------------------------------------------------------
After the usual introduction to Monday Night Raw, we cut to the arena and then to the commentary stood in front of the commentary desk at the top of the entrance ramp!
Michael Cole: It's Monday Night and you know what that means! Welcome to Monday Night Raw!
Big Show: And we are just coming off a blockbuster Starrcade Michael!
Michael Cole: That's right Big Show. Last night we saw two titles change hands as Chad Gable finally dethroned Samoa Joe for the United States title and Ronda Rousey took back the Women's Universal title she lost at Wrestlemania!
Big Show: Not only that but Aleister Black earned a Universal title shot at the Royal Rumble.
*SECOND COMING/ BURN IT DOWN*
Before the commentary team can recap the rest of last night's Starrcade, Seth Rollins makes his way out getting a loud mixed reaction from the fans in attendance. However Seth has a massive smug smile on his face as he walks to the ring.
Michael Cole: Well speaking of people who had a successful night at Starrcade, Seth Rollins picked up the win over AJ Styles but it wasn't without some controversy.
Big Show: That's right Michael. Seth Rollins with the referee down hit AJ Styles with a low blow and we know the Phenomenal One will not be happy about it.
Michael Cole: Well we are going to see AJ Styles in action later tonight against Heath Slater so I'm sure we will hear from him then but it looks like we are about to hear from Seth right now.
Michael is correct as Seth is stood in the ring, still getting a loud mixed reaction from the live crowd. Seth though has a big smile on his face as he gets ready to address the live crowd.
Seth Rollins: I always love the warm response you people give me each and every week!
Seth smiles as he sticks his arms out to soak in the “cheers” but it is mostly heat from the live crowd.
Seth Rollins: Now I know some people want to talk about the controversy that took place last night in my match with AJ Styles and it would go against my morals as the face of Monday Night Raw to ignore what happened last week.
Some of the fans cheer as Seth Rollins nods his head.
Seth Rollins: Now some people may have not liked me sinking to AJ Styles's level last night but turnabout is fair play.
That gets mostly boos from the crowd as Seth shakes his head.
Seth Rollins: Now I know some of you think as a role model I should be teaching the kids watching to rise above the cheap tricks AJ pulled at Starrcade and win the right way like others have?
A few fans chant for Cena whilst others boo Seth Rollins.
Seth Rollins: I don't want to give kids a false impression of the world.
Louder boos but Seth holds his hand up pausing them for a moment.
Seth Rollins: I know other superstars would come out here and preach about doing things the right way but they are wrong.
Seth shakes his head as he speaks.
Seth Rollins: Sometimes you face people who will cheat and try to use every dirty trick in the book to win. And you have to sink to their level to succeed.
Seth smiles as the majority of the fans are booing him now.
Seth Rollins: I know it can be a bitter pill to swallow but good things don't always happen to good people. And good people don't always do good things.
That doesn't do much to change the mood of the fans.
Seth Rollins: But I will teach you people more another time I promise.
Seth smirks and tilts his head slightly.
Seth Rollins: It's almost like I'm some sort of messiah.
He lets out a big toothy grin and that seems to piss the fans who already dislike Rollins.
Seth Rollins: And it's my duty to bring you some big news.
The crowd seems a bit confused as Seth smiles.
Seth Rollins: Next week in the main event of Monday Night Raw, I will go one on one with the Universal Champion Andrade Cien Almas!
Seth sticks his arms out in a Jesus-like pose. He listens to the fans with a mix of boos and cheers.
Seth Rollins: And next week, I will have the chance to take back my Universal title I lost in Mexico! I will redeem myself and become a four-time...
*GANGSTER'S PARADISE*
A massive mixed reaction too but this time it is the Universal Champion Andrade Cien Almas who leads the way in a white suit. He has his Universal title over his shoulder as Zelina joins him with a big frown on her face. And she isn't alone as the rest of the Ungoveables make their way out behind her. The fans are now more leaning towards boos as Zelina looks at the fans with disgust.
Zelina Vega: We should be backstage celebrating Andrade showing the world he is a true Mexican icon.
And that gets the desired reaction as Andrade smugly smiles whilst the fans boo. Andrade responds tapping his Universal title and lifting it into the air getting even louder boos.
Zelina Vega: We should be planning our next move after Aleister Black got lucky against Dijakovic!
Dijakovic looks furious as do Zelina and Andrade with neither of them happy about Andrade defending his title against Black at the Rumble.
Zelina Vega: Or planning how Ilja Dragunov gets a rematch against Mustafa Ali.
Ilja lets out a wild smile as Zelina carries on.
Zelina Vega: No instead I find out from you my client has an extra title defense he hasn't even had the chance to prepare for next week!
A mixed reaction with some of the crowd agreeing with Zelina. Seth though shakes his head.
Seth Rollins: Kind of like Armageddon then?
Zelina shakes her head.
Zelina Vega: Andrade earned the right to cash in whenever he wanted. You cheated your way to this title shot and you lost your last two title matches!
Seth Rollins: You're right. I have lost both my last two title matches. However the first time, it wasn't to your client and the second time I wasn't pinned. I was screwed out of my rightful title shot by AJ Styles but next week I get my rematch.
A mixed reaction as Zelina gets ready to speak but Andrade signals he wants the microphone so she obliges.
Andrade Cien Almas: You get your rematch? Who said we will let you make it to next week?
Andrade drops the microphone and signals to his fellow stablemates to head to the ring and they oblige. A mixed reaction once again but the kids in the crowd boo this plan of attack. We also see Dijakovic clutch his right arm. They surround each side of the ring and Seth gets ready for a fight until...
*STARS IN THE NIGHT*
A pretty decent pop as the Raw commissioner Paige marches out in a leather jacket and she has a microphone in hand as she points to the ring.
Paige: Stop this right now or there will be consequences!
Zelina shakes her head angry but calls off her men. Seth in the ring however has a smirk on his face as he watches them jump off the apron.
Paige: Now I know you're not happy that your client has to defend his title next week but whilst this is my house, my champions are going to be fighting champions.
A cheap pop from the live crowd in attendance.
Paige: But I see the rest of your clients are itching for action so in tonight's main event Cesaro will go one on one with Seth Rollins!
A massive pop from the crowd for a Wrestlemaniacaliber match in tonight's main event.
Paige: However Shinsuke and Zelina? You two can stay right there as Shinsuke you're in action next against this man!
*FEARLESS WARRIOR*
A decent pop from the live crowd as Kalisto makes his way out, hyping up the crowd. The Ungovernables head to the back with Ilja Dragunov and Kalisto especially coming eye to eye on the entrance ramp. Seth Rollins soon follows and fist bumps with Kalisto wishing him luck whilst Shinsuke can be seen talking with his manager Zelina.
Michael Cole: Well two massive announcements have just been made. Not only will we see a Wrestlemania caliber match in tonight's main event between Seth Rollins and Cesaro but next week Andrade Cien Almas will defend his Universal title against Seth Rollins!
Big Show: And you have to think Aleister Black will be watching from the shadows with great interest. He had a title shot of his own on Raw against Seth Rollins before Summerslam until Brock Lesnar attacked both men. He will desperate to face Rollins one more time and prove he was going to win that night.
Michael Cole: But up next we will see former two-time United States and one-time Cruiserweight Champion Kalisto in action against former United States champion and Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura. Don't go anywhere.

Match 1: Kalisto vs Shinsuke Nakamura w/Zelina Vega
Match summary: When we return from the commercial break this match is underway. On the outside of the ring, we can see Zelina Vega giving instructions to Shinsuke who dominates the majority of the match thanks to his superior size and experience. Kalisto throughout the match shows off his innovative Lucha skills to stay alive and keep Shinsuke on his toes.
During the match, you can tell Zelina Vega is getting slightly frustrated with her client, struggling to put away the high-flier and Shinsuke is annoyed as well. He lays into Kalisto with several hard kicks and strikes peppering poor Kalisto with a lot of blows. Shinsuke gets ready to end this as he goes for the KINSHASA... BUT KALISTO DUCKS AND ROLLS SHINSUKE UP FOR THE SHOCK WIN!
Winner via pinfall: Kalisto (10:21)
A pop from the live crowd as Shinsuke Nakamura kicks out at 3.01 but it is too late! Kalisto slides out of the ring before Shinsuke can get his hands on him as he celebrates his biggest win in a long time!
Michael Cole: Kalisto pulls off a massive upset defeating Shinsuke Nakamura!
Big Show: And a win like that will surely put Kalisto in contention for either a Cruiserweight or United States title shot!
Kalisto carries on his celebrations at the top of the ramp whilst in the ring we can see Zelina Vega talking to Shinsuke Nakamura and scalding him over his loss to Kalisto tonight as we cut elsewhere backstage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We see the Usos are stood backstage pacing up and down in front of a chain-link fence. Both men are in day one-ish hoodies and do not look to be in a good mood.
Jey Uso: Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. We've had enough of those fools.
Jimmy Uso: You got that right Uce.
Both men nod but still have scowls on their face.
Jey Uso: You two want to fight? Well we will be happy to give you a fight Uso style next week!
Jimmy Uso: You two think you're tough because Danny spent his youth fighting on the streets of London? They must be forgetting where we come from!
Jey Uso: Exactly Uce. When you step into that ring with us, you better get ready to be locked inside the Uso penitentiary!
Both men pose for the camera as they issue a challenge to their rivals the last few weeks The One Twos as we cut to a commercial break.

*BRING THE SWAG*
As we return from the commercial break, we see The Street Profits making their way to the ring getting a decent reaction from the live crowd. Neither man looks to be in a happy mood and it's only Angelo Dawkins who is dressed to compete, as we can see a load of tape around Montez Ford's mid-section and back.
Michael Cole: Well before the commercial break we heard from The Usos who issued a challenge to their rivals The One Twos for next week's show but right now we are going to see Angelo Dawkins in action.
Big Show: The Street Profits came this close to becoming the World tag team champions. And after their battle with The Authors of pain, this happened!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We see both members of the Street Profits sat backstage on some production crates as both men look disappointed to have come up short against the Authors of Pain. We see Renee Young then walk up to them looking for an interview.
Renee Young: Montez, Angelo a disappointing night for you two. How are you feeling after your loss tonight?
Ford looks off into the distance before turning back to Renee. He shakes his head and sighs before speaking.
Montez Ford: I really thought tonight was the night. That tonight we would...
He pauses and gets ready to do his usual Rock impression but he can't bring himself to do it so Dawkins steps forward instead.
Angelo Dawkins: We gave it our all but we couldn't get the job done. That's the truth. The Authors of Pain were the better team tonight.
It pains Dawkins to admit that but it's the truth.
Renee Young: What are your plans for the future?
Neither man answer straight away as Dawkins looks at Ford before looking back at Renee.
Angelo Dawkins: We get up and we go again.
He looks to Ford who nods in agreement.
Montez Ford: Angelo is right. We get up and we fight our way back into contention. And then we get our next shot...
???: You'll choke one more time.
The camera pans over to see EC3 and Drake Maverick walk into the shot.
EC3: You two are not winners like I am. Some people are born poor and are born losers.
Montez gets up still in pain and looks ready for a fight but Dawkins keeps his partner back.
Angelo Dawkins: Easy Montez. I got this.
Montez takes a seat back down as Angelo comes face to face with EC3.
Angelo Dawkins: My partner isn't going to be cleared for action after tonight but I'll be. How about I see you in that ring tomorrow night?
EC3 turns to Drake who pulls through the planner he has with him.
Drake Maverick: Well Ethan has a busy schedule tomorrow night and...
EC3 grabs the book from Drake and looks at himself before smirking.
EC3: Drake's right. I have a busy night tomorrow but it won't take long for me to beat you.
EC3 smirks and walks off as Drake Maverick quickly follows after him. Meanwhile Dawkins looks furious as we cut back to the ring.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
*TOP ONE PERCENT*
*TOP ONE PERCENT*
We cut back to the ring as we see EC3 make his entrance and he is joined by his assistant Drake Maverick. Neither Dawkins nor Montez Ford look impressed as the top one percenter makes his way down the ramp, trash-talking them all the way to the ring.
Michael Cole: As you saw there, coming off their loss The Street Profits were then mocked by EC3.
Big Show: The last thing you want after coming this close to winning gold is someone like EC3 coming over to mock you.
Michael Cole: And with Montez not cleared for singles action, Angelo Dawkins will step in the ring to take on EC3.
Big Show: We will see if Angelo Dawkins is in the one percent of competitors when he steps into the ring with EC3 here.
Match 2: Angelo Dawkins w/Montez Ford vs EC3 w/Drake Maverick
Match summary: Angelo Dawkins starts the match off at a fast pace. He lays into EC3 in the early stages of the match and puts EC3 on the back foot. EC3 does start to take control though thanks to his superior experience as a singles competitor but he cannot seem to put away the fired-up Angelo Dawkins in this match. And as we get to the finish EC3 looks like he is in trouble. Drake Maverick climbs onto the apron looking to interfere but Ford pulls him off the apron to stop him and this allows EC3 to take the padding off one of the turnbuckles. Dawkins charges at him but EC3 TRIPS HIM UP AND SENDS HIM FACE FIRST INTO IT! Dawkins is stunned as EC3 grabs hold of him and hits the ONE PERCENTER! EC3 makes the cover and picks up the win.
Winner via pinfall: EC3 (6:50)
Boos ring out from the live crowd as EC3 gets to his feet to celebrate. He doesn't celebrate too long as Montez Ford slides into the ring looking for a piece of EC3 who runs away like a coward. Drake Maverick soon follows EC3 as the pair pose at the top of the entrance ramp.
Michael Cole: EC3 steals the victory from Angelo Dawkins tonight!
Big Show: And that loss will especially suck after losing to the Authors of Pain last night.
The Street Profits in the ring point at EC3 and Drake Maverick whilst the bad guys at the top of the ramp taunt The Street Profits and the fans as we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see Lio Rush walking out of the trainer's room backstage. He is selling his mid-section and his back as he leaves the room before being stopped by Charly Caruso.
Charly Caruso: Lio, I was wondering if you could give us an update on the health condition...
Lio Rush: I'm fine Charly. The twenty-five-year-old piece of gold is in a bit of pain still but unlike any normal man, I'm good to go.
Charly Caruso: I was actually going to ask about Bobby Lashley.
Lio's face drops.
Charly Caruso: How is Bobby Lashley after his match with Braun Strowman last night?
Lio Rush sighs and looks angry.
Lio Rush: I don't know. Why don't you ask Paige?
Charly shrugs.
Charly Caruso: I was actually on my way to interview her but I saw you walk out of the medical room and I figured you would know.
Lio Rush: Well I don't.
Lio snaps back at Charly before taking a deep inhale.
Lio Rush: He still isn't speaking to me until I prove my worth.
Charly Caruso: Do you know what he wants you to do to prove your worth?
Lio shakes his head.
Lio Rush: No. But it doesn't matter. I will figure out how to prove my worth to him and I will show him why I'm the only person who should be his hype man!
Lio Rush walks off still limping and selling the effects of being destroyed by Braun Strowman last night as we cut elsewhere backstage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We cut inside a locker room as Renee Young walks in as Rusev and Dolph Ziggler are clearly mid-argument with each other.
Rusev: You superkicked me right in the jaw!
Dolph Ziggler: It was clearly an accident!
Rusev: Yeah and your stupid accident cost us the match!
Renee Young: Sorry to interrupt...
Lana steps forward.
Lana: Now might not be the best time Renee.
Rusev steps forward and gets right in Ziggler's face.
Rusev: Nah she can see this as can the whole world. I didn't want to be in another team and I especially didn't want to team with you.
Dolph Ziggler: Well in that case how about we settle this in the ring next week.
Rusev: Fine by me.
Dolph Ziggler storms off and heads elsewhere as we cut to a hallway backstage...

*BAD REPUTATION*
Loud boos ring out as we return from the commercial break as The Real Horsewomen march out to Ronda Rousey's theme music. Ronda leads the way as she lifts the Universal Women's title into the air and taunts the fans.
Michael Cole: Last night, Ronda Rousey took back her spot at the top of the Women's division.
Big Show: And she beat two of the best in the world to do it! Overcoming not only the former champion Sasha Banks but Bayley as well.
Michael Cole: Though some could argue the Real Horsewomen saved the match for her when Shayna pulled the referee out of the ring in the closing stages.
Big Show: Proves Sasha right. She knew they would have to work together in case The Real Horsewomen got involved and they did right when it looked like Bayley had the match won.
The Real Horsewomen are now stood in the ring as all 4 women have cocky smirks on their faces but it is Ronda Rousey who has the microphone as she looks to speak first.
Ronda Rousey: Last night, I stepped into your world and I placed myself right at the top one more time!
Loud boos from the crowd as Ronda mocks the fans and does a cry baby taunt back at them.
Ronda Rousey: You can cry about it all you want but your two favorites couldn't beat me. Hell, they couldn't step into my world and win the top title could they?
That gets even louder boos as Ronda smiles enjoying herself as she taunts the fans.
Ronda Rousey: And the only reason I didn't take my title back sooner, is because I didn't feel like it.
She smirks as Duke in the background nods going “It's true”.
Ronda Rousey: I let your favorites like Becky and Banks hold this until I felt ready to take back my throne.
A few of the fans start up a “Becky Becky” chant which brings a cocky smirk to Ronda's face.
Ronda Rousey: And I broke that bitch's arm!
Nuclear heat at that point as Shayna especially cackles behind Ronda. Ronda though smirks as she enjoys getting under the fan's skin.
Ronda Rousey: I told you all that every one of the so-called four horsewomen were going to fall before us. I broke Becky's arm, I beat Sasha Banks and Bayley which just leaves Charlotte who is hiding on Smackdown.
Shayna asks Ronda for the microphone as Ronda obliges and passes the microphone to the Queen of Spades.
Shayna Baszler: And that's where we come in.
Shayna points to Duke and Shafir.
Shayna Baszler: In six weeks, at the Royal Rumble one of us three is going to win.
Boos from the crowd as Duke and Shafir both talk trash hyping themselves up.
Shayna Baszler: And when we do, Asuka. We're coming for your title and then I think we'll do to Charlotte what she did to you last year Ronda.
Ronda nods as Shayna passes her back the microphone.
Ronda Rousey: Don't you dare think because you are on Smackdown that you are safe from me Charlotte! I still remember you wrapping a chair around my throat and stamping on it!
The fans cheer that line because they are very mean.
Ronda Rousey: And I promise, that you are...
*SKY'S THE LIMIT (REMIX)*
Loud boos ring out as Sasha Banks makes her way out to the ring. There are no shutter shades and no wasting times as Sasha storms halfway down the ramp as she points at Ronda in the ring.
Sasha Banks: You can gloat all you want but if it was just me and you in that ring, I would still be Women's champion!
Ronda smirks whilst the crowd mostly boos Sasha but again a few fans cheer agreeing with the Boss.
Sasha Banks: And I want, no...
She puts her hand up pausing for a moment.
Sasha Banks: I demand a one-on-one rematch and I want it right...
BAYLEY CLOBBERS SASHA BANKS FROM BEHIND! A massive pop from the live crowd as Bayley attacks the Boss. Bayley is laying into her on the ramp as Shayna gets ready to lead the charge but Ronda puts her arm out and says off-mic “let them fight”. Banks is starting to fight back and the two women end up brawling up the ramp and heading to the back! Both women disappear to the disappointment of the live crowd as Ronda smirks.
Ronda drops the microphone and poses with the title as the crowd reign down heat on the champion. The Real Horsewomen pose behind Ronda Rousey with them all mean-mugging the camera.
Michael Cole: Well Ronda Rousey has sent a message to the entire Women's division on Monday Night Raw tonight!
Big Show: But challengers are already lining up for her Michael!
Michael Cole: Well we are going to go to a commercial break but when we return we will try to see what the situation backstage is between Sasha Banks and Bayley. Don't go anywhere.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see Sasha Banks and Bayley are still brawling through the backstage area. Sasha Banks grabs Bayley by the hair and IRISH WHIPS HER INTO A VENDING MACHINE! She lays in a few blows as she clobbers Bayley but Bayley fights back sending her into a brick wall. She looks to do more damage but a swarm of security arrive on the scene breaking the fight up. Both women though try to fight off the security and attack each other until PAIGE APPEARS!
Paige: OK that's enough.
Neither woman really listens still trying to get their hands on each other.
Paige: I said stop this or I'll suspend both of you immediately!
That convinces Sasha Banks and Bayley they need to calm down but the two women don't take their eyes off each other.
Paige: This war between you two needs to end. In two weeks you will both be locked inside a STEEL CAGE!
Loud cheers from the live crowd as the two women stare each other down.
Paige: And the winner will face Ronda Rousey at the Royal Rumble.
Paige walks off after delivering that bombshell as we see Sasha Banks and Bayley staring each other down with security keeping them at bay as we cut back to the ring.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
In the ring we see a local jobber jumping up and down in the ring as a title card with his name appears saying: Michael Granbull.
Michael Cole: A blockbuster main event signed for two weeks time Big Show.
Big Show: Our commissioner Paige keeps on delivering big main events.
*BRAUN/ I AM STRONGER*
A loud pop as Braun Strowman makes his way out and whilst he looks a little worse for wear, he climbs into the ring and towards over the local jobber.
Michael Cole: Well this man defeated Bobby Lashley in chaotic falls count anywhere match. However I don't see him having anywhere close to the amount of trouble Lashley gave him happening tonight.
Big Show: My only question is over or under on a minute Michael?
Match 3: Braun Strowman vs Michael Granbull
Match summary: Under. Braun annihilates the jobber in less than 30 seconds.
Winner via pinfall: Braun Strowman (0:28)
Braun gets to his feet and he clearly hasn't broken a sweat as he lifts his arms into the air posing for the live crowd.
Michael Cole: A dominant performance as always by Braun Strowman.
Big Show: And he is hitting form at the right time Michael. We are on the road to Wrestlemania and I don't think I've seen Braun in better form than this!
Braun has grabbed a microphone off someone at ringside as he walks back to the center of the ring.
Braun Strowman: Last night I didn't just give Bobby Lashley these hands. No, I gave his little scrappy doo sidekick them as well!
Cheers from the crowd but not many as he did quote Scooby doo.
Braun Strowman: But there is one guy I've got my eyes on. Brock Lesnar.
A massive mixed reaction from the live crowd as he mentions the Beast's name.
Braun Strowman: I'm not finished with you yet!
A cheap pop from the crowd as Braun paces around the ring.
Braun Strowman: I have been waiting for over a year for my chance to get my hands on you. But now I can? By entering the Royal Rumble.
Loud cheers from the crowd as Braun officially announces his entry into the men's rumble.
Braun Strowman: Brock Lesnar is going to be another man against a monster when I step in that ring as all twenty-nine other entrants GET THESE HANDS!
Braun tosses his microphone down to the mat and lifts his arms into the air roaring to the delight of the live crowd.
Michael Cole: A blockbuster announcement by Braun Strowman. He has entered the men's royal rumble!
Big Show: And we talked about who could eliminate Brock Lesnar. Who can eliminate the monster among men Braun Strowman?

The Brian Kendrick: I bet you people forgot about me. I bet you people forgot I existed.
Kendrick shakes his head.
The Brian Kendrick: Drew Gulak certainly did.
Brian grits his teeth.
The Brian Kendrick: He names a bunch of technically great wrestlers that he learned from but he left my name off the list.
Brian is furious as he speaks, clearly bitter over being “slighted”.
The Brian Kendrick: I cost Drew Gulak last night to remind him and the WWE universe that I still exist.
Brian looks at the camera.
The Brian Kendrick: I have been on the shelf injured for months due to my old body breaking down and I realized I ain't got much time left.
He runs his hands through his hair and stares at the camera.
The Brian Kendrick: And after I teach Drew Gulak that he needs to respect his elders, I'm coming for the Cruiserweight title.
Kendrick gets to his feet and looks at the camera.
The Brian Kendrick: I will hold that Cruiserweight title one more time before my body breaks down. One more time.
Kendrick walks off and leaves as we cut elsewhere backstage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
And we see Taynara Conti and Xia Li are sat down in what looks like a martial arts dojo. Both women are dressed in traditional judo attire as they are sat on dojo mats next to each other as they look at the camera.
Taynara Conti: When I was first learning to wrestle, there was one person I looked up to and respected. Ronda Rousey.
Xia nods as Conti carries on speaking.
Taynara Conti: To see someone transition from another field as quickly as she did, it gave me inspiration.
Xia Li: Me too.
Taynara Conti: That I could do the same and make the people of Brazil proud of me. But ever since you've come back, you've changed.
Xia Li: You and your gang lack honor.
Taynara Conti: I get that the fans haven't always been fair to you.
Very true.
Taynara Conti: But you ain't the same person I looked up to. Maybe you shouldn't meet your heroes.
She sighs before looking at the camera.
Taynara Conti: But I want to prove myself. I want to show the world how far I've come and I want to fight Ronda Rousey.
Conti throwing out a big challenge to the Women's Universal title. Xia Li nods along with Conti supporting her friend.
Xia Li: And I have your back. Next week I will see send a message to her gang when I beat Jessamyn Duke in that ring.
Conti and Xia Li share a fist bump and a smile as we then cut to a commercial break.

A mixed reaction from the live crowd as Mia Yim makes her way out to the ring. She has a cocky smirk on her face as she walks out to the ring ahead of her match tonight.
Michael Cole: Hello and welcome back to Monday Night Raw. As you heard before the commercial break we will see Xia Li taking on Jessamyn Duke next week.
Big Show: And Conti issued a challenge to our Women's Universal champion Ronda Rousey.
Michael Cole: Well right now, we are about to see two of the top women on the Monday Night Raw brand collide as Mia Yim takes on Kairi Sane!
Big Show: Mia Yim is looking to avenge her loss from a couple of weeks ago but Kairi Sane is a tough challenger for anyone!
*THE NEXT VOYAGE*
Kairi Sane makes her way out to the ring getting a decent pop from the live crowd. She has a smile on her face as she points her telescope towards the ring and spies Mia Yim in the ring. Mia Yim meanwhile does not look impressed and shakes her head. Kairi Sane climbs into the ring as she offers Mia Yim a handshake but Mia blows her off. Kairi shrugs as the referee calls for the bell and this match is underway!
Match 4: Kairi Sane vs Mia Yim
Match summary: Mia Yim starts the match off a lot more aggressively than usual as she lays into Kairi Sane on the mat and tosses her across the ring throughout the contest. Kairi Sane though keeps fighting back which seems to piss Mia Yim off even more throughout the encounter. Mia Yim even starts resorting to dirty tricks and tactics to stay in control of the match when it looks like Kairi is going to do damage to her. Kairi though keeps fighting through and overcomes everything Mia Yim tries to throw at her.
As we get to the closing stages of the match Mia Yim grabs hold of the turnbuckle pad and takes it off the corner. The referee sees this and goes to fix the turnbuckle which allows Mia Yim to grab the TELESCOPE! However, as she swings it Kairi Sane grabs it and snatches it! Kairi then uses it to hit a modified RUSSIAN LEGSWEEP! Kairi tosses the telescope from the ring and climbs to the top rope. She sizes Mia Yim up and hits her with the IN-SANE ELBOW! Kairi Sane makes the cover and picks up the win!
Winner via pinfall: Kairi Sane (11:41)
Michael Cole: Kairi Sane picks up the win!
Big Show: And you have to think with her form, she is one of the favorites to win the Women's, Royal Rumble!
Michael Cole: That's correct Big Show. And I'm just getting word from Paige that Kairi Sane will be in the Women's Royal Rumble in six weeks time!
Kairi Sane heads up the entrance ramp as she carries on celebrating her victory tonight over Mia Yim, whilst in the ring Mia gets to her feet and looks furious. She kicks the ropes before screaming at the referee as she slides to the outside kick the steel steps in anger. We see Mia's tantrum carry on as we cut elsewhere backstage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We cut to Renee Young who is stood backstage ready for an interview.
Renee Young: Would you please welcome my guest at this time the Cruiserweight Champion Mustafa Ali!
Mustafa Ali walks into the shot in one of his hoodies with his Cruiserweight title over his shoulder and a big smile on his face.
Renee Young: Congratulations on your win against Ilja Dragunov last night.
Mustafa Ali: Thank you Renee. Ilja was a tough challenger but that's exactly what I want. I don't want easy matches. I want people that force me to get better.
Renee Young: Well my next question, is what's next for you?
Mustafa Ali: I plan to be a fighting champion Renee. I plan on taking on all challengers and putting this belt on the map like my hero Rey Mysterio did. So I'm issuing an open challenge next week.
Cheers from the crowd as Ali smiles.
Mustafa Ali: Anyone under two hundred and five pounds can come have a shot at my title. Even a legend like Rey Mysterio for example. Anyone who wants to step up and prove themselves, you'll get your chance next week.
Renee Young: Well there you have it. Mustafa Ali is issuing an open challenge for next week's Raw. I wonder who will answer it?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
And upon that line from Renee, we see CHAD GABLE AND KURT ANGLE walking down the hallway towards the ring.
Michael Cole: Well up next we are going to hear from our new United States Champion Chad Gable and his mentor Kurt Angle. Don't go anywhere!

Loud cheers as we return from the commercial break as Chad Gable makes his way out in a traditional US Olympic style tracksuit and he is joined by his manager Kurt Angle who is wearing one as well. Gable has a big smile on his face as he lifts his United States title into the air to the delight of the crowd.
Michael Cole: Last night, Chad Gable pulled off a massive upset and defeated Samoa Joe to become United States Champion.
Big Show: Samoa Joe had been a dominant force holding the title for over nine months. He has beaten all challengers big and small to hold onto his United States title.
Michael Cole: But Gable was able to overcome the dominant champion and put him away.
Big Show: And you have to wonder what's next for Chad Gable.
Gable and Angle are now in the ring, which has been decorated with red, white and blue around the ring. We even see several balloons around the ring as Angle looks to speak first.
Kurt Angle: When I approached Chad and promised to work with him, I knew he was capable of greatness.
Gable beams with pride.
Kurt Angle: He just needed someone to point him in the right direction and help him win. Ever since I've started to teach Chad, he has taken my teachings and applied them in the ring picking up win after win.
Kurt is the one smiling.
Kurt Angle: And then he finally got his rematch for the United States title against Samoa Joe. I knew he was ready, I knew he willing and I knew he was Gable to beat Joe!
Puns are great. Becky would be proud.
Kurt Angle: I taught him everything I could before the match but he still needed to apply it. He still needed to step into the ring and earn the victory.
Gable lifts the United States title into the air getting a cheap pop from the live crowd.
Kurt Angle: And now, we have a United States champion we can be proud of.
Kurt passes the microphone to Gable who smiles and thanks Kurt before he looks to speak to the live crowd.
Chad Gable: I want to start this off by saying Kurt, without you I wouldn't have made it this far and I wouldn't be the United States champion right now so thank you.
Cheers from the crowd as Angle nods and looks like he is about to cry tears of joy as Gable carries on.
Chad Gable: Last night, I finally defeated Samoa Joe. I finally proved I belong at the top of WWE. And I finally have this baby.
He looks at the United States title, staring at it before letting out a massive smile.
Chad Gable: One of my greatest moments was representing this country at the Olympics and now I get to represent this country as its champion!
He lifts the belt into the air, once again getting a loud pop from the live crowd.
Chad Gable: And I promise I will make you people proud by being a fighting champion. It doesn't matter who it is but I will defend this belt against anyone...
*DESTROYER*
A massive mixed reaction as Samoa Joe walks out and he does not look happy. Chad Gable immediately gets ready for a fight but Joe shakes his head.
Samoa Joe: Don't worry I'm not out here to ruin your moment.
Joe waves a finger and smiles.
Samoa Joe: I'm just out here to give you a warning.
Joe is no longer smiling.
Samoa Joe: Let's take a look at what should have been the end of last night's match!
We then see a replay of Samoa Joe hitting the musclebuster planting Chad Gable and getting the 3 count even though Chad Gable's foot on the ropes. We then cut back to Samoa Joe on the entrance ramp.
Samoa Joe: Any competent referee knows that their decision is final. They counted one two three! My United States title was stolen from me!
Boos from the crowd as Gable shakes his head but Joe is furious at the top of the entrance ramp.
Samoa Joe: And when something is stolen from me, I will move heaven and earth to get it back! So you better sleep with one eye open as I'm coming for both of you and I will take back my belt with interest.
Samoa Joe drops his microphone and heads backstage having sent a strong message/warning to the new United States champion. Gable and Angle in the ring meanwhile discuss what they should do next as Angle tells Gable to not worry.
Michael Cole: Well it looks like Samoa Joe isn't done with our new United States champion Chad Gable.
Big Show: Beating Joe once is a tough feat. Doing it twice? I'm not sure Gable can do it.
Michael Cole: Well when we are going to a commercial break but once we return we will see AJ Styles in action. Don't go anywhere!

When we return from the commercial break, we can see Heath Slater in the ring jogging on the spot with a smile on his face ahead of his match with AJ Styles tonight.
*PHENOMENAL*
A pretty loud mixed reaction from the live crowd as AJ Styles makes his way out and he is soon joined by the Good Brothers. None of them look in a good mood though as they walk to the ring. AJ especially has a scowl on his face as he walks down the ramp and climbs into the ring ready for his match with Heath Slater.
Michael Cole: Welcome back to Monday Night Raw and up next we are going to see AJ Styles in action against Heath Slater.
Big Show: AJ had a rough night at Starrcade and will look to take some of his anger out on Heath Slater.
Match 5: AJ Styles w/The Good Brothers vs Heath Slater
Match summary: AJ Styles doesn't waste much time as he lays into Heath Slater and lets out his anger after what happened to him last night when he faced Seth Rollins. AJ in the end hits Slater with the PHENOMENAL FOREARM! AJ could make the cover but shakes his head. He grabs hold of Heath's right leg and locks him in the CALF CRUSHER! Heath is in a ton of pain and quickly taps out giving AJ the win!
Winner via submission: AJ Styles (3:32)
AJ holds onto the hold for an extra few seconds after the bell before finally letting go and releasing poor Heath Slater's ankle. He gets to his feet and barely celebrates his victory tonight.
Michael Cole: AJ Styles gets back to winning ways but you can tell he isn't in a good mood.
Big Show: And I think we are about to hear from the Phenomenal one himself right now Michael.
Karl Anderson has grabbed a microphone from someone at ringside and passes it to AJ, who limps slightly as he walks around the ring ready to address the live crowd.
AJ Styles: I don't want to sound like Samoa Joe but I was screwed last night by a bad referee!
The Good Brothers nod agreeing with AJ and even a few fans cheer as well, taking AJ's side in this.
AJ Styles: Seth Rollins had to resort to low-blowing me because he knew he couldn't beat me.
Luke Gallows behind AJ nods and says exactly.
AJ Styles: And our Raw commissioner instead of punishing Seth for his behavior, she rewards him with a Universal title shot next week!
Karl Anderson this time pipes up shouting it ain't right.
AJ Styles: Exactly Karl. So let me send a warning to Seth Rollins and Andrade. I'll be watching that match next week very closely and Seth? I will have my revenge.
AJ drops the microphone and stands in the ring still getting a mixed reaction from the live crowd as The Good Brothers pose behind their leader AJ Styles.
Michael Cole: AJ Styles is out for blood.
Big Show: AJ made it to the top by going after anyone who got in his way and I think Seth will need to keep both eyes open next week.
Michael Cole: Agreed Michael. Not only will he have to worry about The Ungoveables but he will have to keep his eye out for The Club next week.
Big Show: A painful time for sure. However speaking of pain, our World tag team champions The Authors of Pain had this to say after their victory last night.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We see The Authors of Pain in their usual ring attire cutting an imposing presence as they tower over the camera and have their World tag team titles over their shoulders as they look at the camera.
Akam: Last night we showed the Street Profits the only thing you get when you step into the ring with us is pain.
Rezar: You keep sending challengers and we keep sending them back to you broken.
Akam: Lucha Dragons.
Rezar: Broken.
Akam: The Ascension.
Rezar: Gone.
Akam: And now The Street Profits
Rezar: Destroyed.
Akam: We will keep destroying every team put in our path until there is no one left.
Rezar: And we still have many chapters left to write.
The Authors of Pain go back to posing as the screen fades to black and we cut to a commercial break.

A very muted reaction as we return from the commercial break and see Curtis Axel making his way to the ring. He is joined by his tag team partner Bo Dallas as Curtis Axel gets ready for a rare singles match on Raw.
Michael Cole: Hello and welcome back to Monday Night Raw. Right now we are going to see former Intercontinental and multi-time tag team champion Curtis Axel in action against Mojo Rawley.
Big Show: Mojo did not take well to the B-Team's antics last week and that lead to this match being set up for tonight's show.
*KILLER INSTINCT*
Also gets very little reaction from the live crowd as he makes his way out, Mojo Rawley marches down the ramp with an angry look on his face. Mojo Rawley steps into the ring and immediately gets in the face of Curtis Axel. The referee steps in between the pair getting them to head to opposite corners before calling for the bell to get this match underway.
Match 6: Curtis Axel w/Bo Dallas vs Mojo Rawley
Match summary: Mojo Rawley starts the match at a fast pace and lays into Axel during the match. Axel though shows shades of his father and fights back laying into Mojo Rawley during this match. In the end, Mojo goes for a pin and puts his feet on the ropes out of the view of the referee but Bo Dallas pushes his feet off the ropes! This distracts Mojo Rawley as he shouts at Bo on the outside of the ring. This distraction gives Axel time to recover as he grabs Mojo and hits him with the PERFECT-PLEX! Axel makes the cover and picks up the win!
Winner via pinfall: Curtis Axel (4:38)
A few fans cheer as Curtis Axel gets back to his feet and celebrates a rare win on Monday Night Raw. Bo Dallas joins him inside the ring as the B-Team carry on their celebrations.
Michael Cole: Curtis Axel picks up the win with help from his friend.
Big Show: Bo wasn't about to let Mojo Rawley get away with cheating and made sure it was a fair fight.
The B-Team head up the ramp as Curtis carries on celebrating his victory whilst in the ring Mojo Rawley is back to his feet and he screams at the referee. The ref makes it clear his decision is final and tells Mojo he was cheating all Bo did was stop him. The referee leaves the ring and Mojo is all alone in there shaking his head as we cut to a commercial break.

When we return from the commercial break, we can see the number one contender for the Universal title ALEISTER BLACK sat down in a dark room. He is in a suit shirt as he looks at the camera with an intense stare.
Aleister Black: Last night, I went to battle with Dominik Dijakovic. Zelina's greatest weapon. And we all know why she sent Dijakovic to stop me.
We then get a clip of Aleister Black defeating Andrade to become NXT Champion at NXT Takeover Orlando.
Aleister Black: I know how to beat Andrade. I know how to bring his reign to an end because I've done it before. And Zelina is smart.
Black lets out a slight smile.
Aleister Black: She learns from history. So she will do everything in her power to stop me from making it to the rumble. And that's fine.
Black stares at the camera as we see clips of him taking people down throughout his time on Raw and NXT.
Aleister Black: I thrive on competition. I came here to fight the best. So send your best Zelina and one by one I'll take them all down.
Black though doesn't get up as he raises his hand into the air.
Aleister Black: But it would be remiss for me to ignore Andrade's opponent next week. Seth Rollins.
Black doesn't smile as he says that name and stares at the camera.
Aleister Black: I have crossed paths with Seth before.
We then get a flashback to their Universal title match on Monday Night Raw.
Aleister Black: The first time I was able to get the Universal title within reach... until Brock ruined my moment.
We then see a clip of Brock Lesnar attacking both men causing a no contest.
Aleister Black: And whilst I haven't gotten my pound of flesh from Brock yet, I still haven't beaten Rollins yet.
Black stares dead ahead at the camera.
Aleister Black: But if I face him instead of Andrade, it won't matter to me whether Seth is a good person or a bad person. Whether he has absolved himself of his sins or suffers from them. All that will matter is he will fade, fade to black.
The promo comes to an end as the screen fades to black and we cut elsewhere backstage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
And we see Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch sat down in what looks like an English-style pub. Both men have a pint next to them as they turn towards the camera.
Danny Burch: So the Usos want a scrap do they?
Danny takes a sip of his drink as Oney nods.
Oney Lorcan: Yep and they don't understand what they are getting themselves in for.
Danny Burch: They think they can beat us?
Oney Lorcan: They are in for a shock. It's about time we sent a message to the whole division and we'll start with the team that have been the faces of the division for years.
Danny Burch: And then, we go for the Authors of Pain.
Oney Lorcan: They think they know pain?
Danny Burch: They haven't had to fight through the streets of London...
Oney Lorcan: Or Boston.
Both men clink their pints together and finish their drink as the camera pans around to show everyone else in the bar out cold and the bar trashed minus two men who approach looking for a fight. We then cut back to the pair who turn to face the camera.
Danny Burch: And this is what is in store for the Usos.
Oney Lorcan: One two...
Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan start to fight the two men attacking them as we cut back to the commentary team at ringside.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Michael Cole: Well the One Twos have accepted the Usos challenge for next week's show.
Big Show: And we have an action-packed show in store next week.
Michael Cole: We will see Xia Li take on Jessamyn Duke and Rusev take on Dolph Ziggler in singles action.
Big Show: We will also hear from Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman next week ahead of his entry into the royal rumble!
Michael Cole: Mustafa Ali will be issuing an open challenge next week and putting his Cruiserweight title on the line.
Big Show: And next week Andrade Cien Almas will defend his Universal title against Seth Rollins!
As Big Show says that we see Seth Rollins walking through a hallway which gets a mixed reaction from the live crowd.
Michael Cole: Well up next Seth Rollins will be in action against Cesaro in a Wrestlemania-worthy matchup! Don't go anywhere!

When we return from the commercial break, we get a mixed reaction once again as Cesaro makes his way out joined by his manager Zelina Vega. Cesaro has a smug look on his face as he walks to the ring ahead of this big opportunity.
Michael Cole: Hello and welcome back to Monday Night Raw as we get ready for our main event as the Swiss Superman Cesaro takes on Seth Rollins in singles action.
Big Show: Cesaro will not only be looking to impress his boss Zelina Vega but he will also know a win here could potentially put him in line for a title shot in the future.
Michael Cole: Would Zelina be happy about that?
*SECOND COMING/ BURN IT DOWN*
Another man getting a mixed reaction from the live crowd and it's even louder with a bigger portion being booing Seth Rollins. However Seth Rollins has a big smile on his face he heads to the ring before facing off against Cesaro in the center of the ring.
Big Show: Well one way to make Zelina happy would be to take out or even weaken Seth Rollins ahead of next week.
Michael Cole: And it's not like Cesaro is an easy man to beat. A former United States and multi-time tag team champion.
Big Show: And with freakish strength. The guy was able to body slam me!
Both men circle the ring as they stare each other down as the referee calls for the bell!
Main event: Seth Rollins vs Cesaro w/Zelina Vega
Match summary: The match starts off at a slow pace as both men feel each other out early on. Neither man gains an edge early on as Cesaro proves he can keep up with Seth Rollins and makes a point to target his legs and back as he looks to set him up potentially for the SHARPSHOOTER! Seth though fights back and gives as good as he gets from Cesaro as both men put on a clinic in the ring.
As we get to the closing stages of the show Seth has taken control after hitting Cesaro with a SUPERPLEX AND FALCON ARROW COMBO! Seth heads to the corner of the ring and gets ready for the CURB STOMP... BUT ZELINA DISTRACTS HIM! Not for long though as he charges in BUT CESARO COUNTERS THE CURB STOMP INTO A EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! Rollins falls to the mat as Cesaro makes the cover but Rollins kicks out at 2!
Cesaro is quick to follow up by grabbing hold of Seth's legs as he sends him for a SWING! He gets a good 15-20 rotations on the move before transitioning it into the SHARPSHOOTER! He gets the move locked on tight in the center of the ring. Seth Rollins is in a ton of pain due to the submission hold. However, Seth fights through the pain and crawls to the ropes before grabbing hold of them forcing a break from Cesaro. The Swiss Superman however holds onto it until the referee gets to a 3 count and Cesaro finally breaks it at the point.
Cesaro then follows it up with a series of uppercuts to the head of Rollins and rocks him by the ropes. The referee once again counts Cesaro and warns him. Zelina at this point gets up to argue AND SETH PUTS A THUMB IN THE EYE OF CESARO! Loud boos from the crowd but neither Zelina nor the ref see it. Seth quickly follows it up with the RIPCORD KNEE and then hits THE CURB STOMP! Seth makes the cover 1 2 3 Seth picks up the win!
Winner via pinfall: Seth Rollins (15:05)
Mostly boos from the live crowd as Seth picks up the win. The referee raises his arm into the air as Seth gestures to the crowd that his finger slipped but not many people are buying it. Cesaro meanwhile rolls to the corner and holds his eye, looking very angry.
Michael Cole: Well Seth Rollins wins again but not without controversy once again.
Big Show: Seth Rollins seems to be claiming his finger slipped but I'm not sure Cesaro believes him.
Seth leaves the ring and heads up the ramp once again explaining himself to the fans. He tries to make it clear it was a slip and he didn't mean to cheat. However, as he is backing up the ramp ANDRADE CIEN ALMAS CLOCKS HIM WITH THE UNIVERSAL TITLE! A massive mixed reaction from the crowd but a load of the fans cheer Andrade for attacking Seth. He is soon joined by his fellow Ungoveables Shinsuke Nakamura, Ilja Dragunov, and Dominik Dijakovic.
All 4 men beat down Seth Rollins who struggles to fight back after the belt shot and wrestling Cesaro for 15 minutes. Zelina Vega makes her way over and gives them instructions as the beating goes on. All of them even taking their turns hitting Seth with their finishers as Andrade finishes it off with a HAMMERLOCK DDT ONTO HIS TITLE BELT as Monday Night Raw comes to a close with a laid-out Seth Rollins laid in front of the Ungoveables as Andrade lifts his belt into the air as we fade to black.
