2006 was a year I loved, but honestly, it wasn't that great. Make it better, I'd be totally cool with the use of Benoit for the record.

It's better off he fires Benoit now. The incident happens the following year.

I'm fine with using guys like Cade and Umaga because they passed due to reasons behind there control but Benoit was just sick.

It's better off to avoid the controversy of what happened. Speaking of, let's move on and to the nature of this BTB.

Great idea. 2006 is the year where I felt things went from bad to worse for WWE. I fucking loved WM22 (sans the Booker/Boogeyman match), but the Raw featured an overlong McMahon/Michaels feud, and I remember Smackdown having some particularly terrible episodes throughout the year. Not to mention the Eddiexploitation...(at least they made Booker T champion, about three years too late)

So yeah, I'm looking forward to your retelling. :)

Sorry for the Shorter results, Been busy.

The Smackdown pyro shoots off in the air as the camera pans around the sold out Cleveland arena until it stops at the announce table where Michael Cole and Tazz are sat.

Michael Cole: Welcome to another exciting edition of Friday Night Smackdown! We are at the fallout of one of the greatest wrestling pay per views of all time, Wrestlemania 22!!!

Tazz: At Wrestlemania 22 the ultimate Underdog Rey Mysterio fought against the odds and captured the World Heavyweight Championship! He defeated Kurt Angle and Randy Or-----

Randy Orton’s theme blazes out interrupting Tazz as Orton confidently struts out with a microphone and he climbs into the ring.

Orton: I don’t know if you all saw the travesty that happened last night, I was robbed of the World Heavyweight Championship by that idiot Rey Mysterio. Just the thought of Rey Mysterio as a credible Champion is a complete joke. He doesn’t deserve that Championship, I do! I have proved on many occasions that I am the most talented wrestler in this company. I am out here to demand a rematch with Rey Mysterio!

Teddy Long’s theme hits as he walks out with a microphone.

Teddy Long: You can’t just demand a match playa! You have to earn it and so far you haven’t earnt anything.

Orton: I haven’t earnt anything! Are you joking? I am the youngest ever man to win the World Heavyweight Championship and I deserve it again!

Teddy: Alright playa, How about this. I will give put you in a Number One contender match tonight to see who will face Rey Mysterio at Backlash!

Orton: Finally, You have seen sense.

Teddy: But playa, Don’t forgot about your opponent. Your opponent will be….. The Returning Batista!!!!!!

The Crowd explodes in celebration as Teddy Long walks out smiling and Randy Orton freaks out in the ring.

Commercial Break

The Pitbulls def. Paul London and Brian Kendrick

The Pitbulls picked up a huge victory over Paul London and Brian Kendrick after Kid Kash hit Dead Level on Brian Kendrick for the three count. MNM than came out and clapped The Pitbulls.

The camera than cut backstage to where JBL was stood with Todd Grishim.

Todd: Welcome my guest at this time, The United States Champion….JBL!!!

JBL: This is an outrage, A complete outrage. I dominated last night but I am not getting a World Championship shot and Randy Orton is! Orton had his chance and lost last night so why should he get a chance again!

JBL walks off in anger before Todd can say anything else.

Commercial Break

Gregory Helms def. Jimmy Wang Yang to retain the Cruiserweight Championship

Gregory Helms retained his Cruiserweight Championship in a fantastic match with Jimmy Wang Yang after rolling him up and pulling the tights.

Rey Mysterio def. William Regal w/Dave Taylor

Rey Mysterio picked up a good win following Wrestlemania over William Regal after hitting a west coast Pop.

The Camera shows Randy Orton and Batista heading towards the ring
Commercial Break

Randy Orton b. Batista

Randy Orton got a huge win over the returning Batista to get the chance to face Rey Mysterio after hitting an RKO after Batista hit his head on an uncovered turnbuckle.
