Yeah it's nonsense to think they won't cut talent. You have to every so often. If anything I hope they stop using the reasoning of "budget cuts" and just be honest and say creative has nothing for them. But a good business will fine inefficiencies and eradicate them.
With nil n nxt it's also impossible to sign n maintain everyone. They may reword it to not say budget cuts we will all know what's up anyways. They've already re hired probably too many people and eventually ticket sales will dip, the economy will crash , wtv pick one. It's not sustainable n never will b. I'm guessing ull get the yearly post mania cuts instead of randomly tho

If they do make cuts, I doubt it’ll be the 20-25 names that it usually is annually.

But I think not expecting those cuts to be made is a little naive. It’s a business after all. Probably won’t be as much main roster talent as in recent years either. A lot of NXT/Level Up talent is predict.

Precisely. Which is weird cause recently they’ve been trying to give Cedric a little bit of a rub. More TV time, video packages.

I heard WWE agreed to pay Punk for every year he missed due to his disillusionment with the company so he should have around a 25 million dollar check coming his way.

Triole H is just like Tony Khan when it comes to releasing talent.....rather wait until their contracts are up and ghost em until they're gone instead of ripping the damn bandaid off.

Mass layoffs are better since it gives those people outside opportunities rather than dicking them around waiting for a bone that'll never come and waste valuable athletic years.

Meltzer says a lot of shit, I think u guys are making leaps. It's still a public business and respectfully yall being very naïve.
I’m the one who always says card subject to change.

I don’t put it past them, but I’m just reacting to the report.

At the end of the day no one knows how the new tko will operate since Endeavor was an entirely different beast.

That second part would prove my point. I already said creative cuts are an entirely different thing and I expect those to continue.

As for having to, AEW has a bloated roster and so far Tony has managed to let contracts wind down.

I'm going to say it every time it's mentioned from now on and am not singling you out. but so does WWE.

I’m well aware. I agree. That’s why I mentioned it.

They have a similar talent approach and Tony hasn’t been forced to do talent releases yet.

I will say WWE technically have 3 brands that they sometime try to care about so it’s slightly different, but in practice it’s also bloated.

For the record, I’ll take bloat over an underdeveloped roster. I’ll just bitch when talent I like aren’t being pushed first. :krillin2
