At WrestleMania Cody Rhodes defended his Intercontinental Championship against the Big Show. In the end the Big Show was victorious with the KO punch. Show got his WrestleMania moment and managed to walk out of WM with a title.

What will happen next with the title? Who can challenge Show for the title? What will happen with Rhodes?

What makes things difficult is that currently both midcard titles are held by Smackdown wrestlers so it makes it harder to pick a potential opponent. I have a feeling that someone from Team Johnny will be given the next IC title shot. My choice would be Drew McIntyre, he can get back some credibility by having good competitive matches against Show. Jack Swagger would be another logical choice.

For Rhodes I wouldn't mind seeing him challenge a maineventer on Smackdown. Unfortunately there aren't too many top faces left so the options are either Orton or Sheamus.

McIntyre getting the IC back would be nice. I'd love to see that happen.

Show shouldn't even be on a mid-card level, he's always been an upper-mid-card/main eventer even though I don't really like him.

I want Rhodes to be pushed, Orton/Bryan can feud whilst Rhodes/Sheamus feuds.

That would work with me.

This was the only result that puzzled me tbh.

Cody had his streak thing going on, and Show was in limbo doing nothing basically. There was mileage left in Cody as champ, nobody has ever cared about Big Show and never will. Very strange decision for me.

I'd guess Cody moves up to be one of the top heels on Smackdown now, and Show does what he always does, turn people away and drive ratings down.

I like Big Show. I just hate how WWE has made him into such a pussy. He used to be a freaking monster! I miss that.

I didn't quite understand this move either. Yes Cody Rhodes has held that title for a bit, but it would of been a even bigger win for Rhodes. He would have finally defeated something of higher caliber to retain the belt and would of made him a believable champion. Just think of it this way, at least he wasn't Daniel Bryan.

Show can take the title to higher places. Show is over so he can be a fine champion. Cody is headed to the main event.

Show can revive the division for the sole fact more credible people will be wanting to sleigh the giant for the title. He can attract a Kane, Orton, Henry, Del Rio, and so on. That frees up a shot for the young and not as over or as credible guys like Dolph, Cody, Bryan, compete in the WHC division without worrying about drawing on SD.

Really didn't mind this result at all to be honest and i'm kinda surprised people were expecting Cody to win. It was clear as day to see that the angle was built for Big Show to finally get his WrestleMania moment, not to mention that he brings instant credibility to the belt, more than Cody ever has or would. Obviously we'll get around another month of feuding between most of the feuds on all shows blowing off at Extreme Rules then we'll get an idea of what new storylines will come about.

I don't mind as well. After the long time Show deserves to have a title reign but I still think WWE did this match only because they didn't have anybody for Cody, exapt Show ofc. I'd rather see Cody Rhodes vs Ted DiBiase. Would be a lot,lot better than Show vs Cody.

It's time for Cody to move on the Main Event career.

I just honestly don't know if Cody Rhodes is ready for Main Event yet. Maybe he'll give them a credible heel on Smackdown since Daniel Bryan got squashed in eighteen seconds.

The only reason Cody didn't add any credibility to the belt was due to Blue and sloppy booking by the WWE. His promos were great all through his reign and he had some nice little TV matches, but WWE ruined it by not having him defend the title that much. Not his fault.

I totally agree with Prodigy. What makes champion a champion? The fact that he is defending his title in multiple matches and he keeps retaining. If WWE would let him defend it more often and and not waste his time with Orton, IC Title would be more prestigious than it is right now.

That may be so, I rather of seen Orton/Rhodes then Orton/Kane at Mania.

I would change this two matches. Seriously, Orton/Rhodes and Show/Kane would be much better than Orton/kane and Show/Rhodes. Orton is a dick but he would perform better against Cody than Big Show did. But once again, Orton/Rhodes thing allready went down and WWE didn't really have someone better for Cody.
