Everything. Eventually cars won't work, stores would have to reassemble(assuming they haven't been robbed yet), public transportation out the door, food going bad, and just so much more.

Lets not forget all the money in your credit card would be facked!

That's pretty smart stuff and all. But once you run out of meat you're done for. My main priority would be finding oranges. My area has tons of orange trees.

I guess it differs where you come from. Around here food would be one of the smallest issues (farming community, hunting community, fishing community). Here it would be heating that would be the big issue since its Sweden and winters get fucking cold. But most houses still have wood furnaces or heating systems so it is manageable.

The question asked what would I do. I dunno what other people will freakin' do, lmao. I'm going on a mf-ing camping trip.

The last place I would be in is the woods at a time with no electricity.

:hmm: At least I wouldn't have to worry about the IRS.
I do know that I live in a place filled with military, trained to be at a situation like that, so it probally wouldn't be all so bad maybe. We can tons of canned food, so we can last a good while. As for keeping myself busy, once again playing the guitar. Got a tab book full of music, a few books, and I'll just go through every CD handbook I have.

I know that I'd struggle to know what to do with myself for a while. If it was off for good, I'd learn how to hunt and gather food as well as any other skills needed to survive. As far as what to do in my freetime, I'd probably play music (since I'm a flute player) and do some reading.

Are those communities strictly self-sufficient? If they're large enough to feed the whole city, then surely they rely on electricity for things like trading or going to get resources?

Jumping between Realities.
I'll Get into my Bunker, store it with food and water, then stay there until I run out. Hopefully The Internet will be forgotten around the time I get out.

Like I said, I couldn't give a shit less what other people would do. The question asked what would I do, not what you think other people would do, and I would be out enjoying nature with friends.

Sorry, I'm usually really paranoid when it comes to topics like this, in my mind I think I'm some expert survivalist but if something like this happened I would probably die within a week. haha

Trading systems can be established, likely by trade of produces/services. Same with a transportation system using horse or ox drawn carriages. Where I live right now everything exists for us to survive for a long long time if power was to be shorted out or disappeared.

Want to switch towns? We are the complete opposite of that.

How would they get established? Who gives it to you when they don't get it themselves? The country itself can not trade with any other country, cars don't work, transport is non-existent.
