Would you scrap the MITB PPV and instead go back to having it at WrestleMania? Don't get me wrong, I would be happy if the whole MITB concept was scrapped fullstop given it's a tired concept but for me I always felt like the MITB Ladder matches felt more special at WrestleMania.

It's also better for your guys like RVD & Jericho, although Jericho is far superior to RVD and is actually able to build a feud. It gets a bunch of your guys onto the PPV to create a usually hot match without having to waste time on a bunch singles matches like Fandango/Jericho from last year.

I agree with you about the MITB feeling more special at WM, but that was because there was only one, and only one briefcase holder. THAT COMES BACK NOW.

If they keep this "Unified Champion of Champions" thing going (Which they won't imo. they'll fuck it up lol), that makes the MITB PPV an SERIOUS contender for promotion to the Big 4. It generally has been one of the strongest ppvs of the year, and now that you don't have to put TWO MITB matches and TWO World title matches on the card, it opens it up to actually have and progress other feuds that aren't over the belts, or MORE meaningful feuds for the IC and US titles.

In fact, were I booking it, I'd start a tournament after Wrestlemania inviting anyone who's carried the IC, US or WOrld title in the last year, until you get your 6-8 finalists. Make it a BIG, LONG process to break thru. People would get MONTHS to get behind their favorites, and then ALL of them look like they legit have a shot by the time MITB Rolls around.

Actually, I'd start it after Summer Slam and move MITB to Survivor Series' slot in November tbh.

I admire your optimism and hope your right but I just can't see past them doing something along the lines of the 'Allstar MITB' again and then we end up with a weak as hell undercard like we've had the past few months on PPV.

I wouldn't mind them keeping the mitb ppv if they were willing to treat it sorta like TNA. Create a tag team mitb, midcard, and even a divas if you wanted to taken them all seriously. It could be a ppv the champs take semi easy.

If they are going to just do one case though, it may as well be at WM unless if they want to bring back a TLC tag team match. I prefer kotr be a ppv again anyhow

Honestly MITB should be held at the TLC PPV. Gives the midcard guys a decent gimmick match on a PPV pre-designed to have this match.

Although, having one for the tag team titles would be a great way to try and bring up the stakes in that division.

I don't mind MITB as a PPV and it might feel more special next year when you have only one MITB match, but like others I am in favour of KOTR replacing it and being treated as a top PPV.

What about a tourney culminating in the mitb match main event? You could sorta still from kotr that way and make it look like everyone is worn down

I imagine WWE would be hesitant to get rid of the PPV considering it's easily their best and (I think) most successful themed PPV. Maybe it's just because the show is held in June, when things just start to heat up for the big Summer storylines, but there's always been something to remember about it, and at this stage probably has a bit of name value.

I'd like to see it get scrapped, or at least put to WrestleMania as well, but I think there's a few reasons why they'd want to keep it the way it is right now.

Agreed with Gimmick. Not familiar with WWE's PPV buyrate but after a google search the MITB PPV's seem to have a higher buyrate then most of WWE's PPV's, with the exception of the Big 4. I don't see why WWE would remove it since it's clearly one of their better draws. Yes I would rather see it back at Wrestlemania but fuck it if WWE's making money off it, then they should work with it.

My opinion is that the whole MITB concept is getting stale anyways and that they should remove it as a whole, but I don't see that happening for a while.
