Why is Antonio Cesaro so much more popular than Del Rio?

TBH I hated Del Rio in 2012. Him and Sheamus clogged up the whole summer and it just felt like a drag because they had nobody else to face Sheamus. Then towards the end of 2012 he faced Ryder almost every week and got absolutely zero reaction from the crowd, the whole thing was just cringeworthy. When he turned face he was larger than life and he was finally entertaining to me. Even now I like him.

I will admit though that I'm a huge Cesaro mark so yeah of course I like Cesaro over him. Only match wise though.

ADR is the shit. I've liked him since his debut, always been above average on the mic and can get shit done in the ring. I love Cesaro, always good to see a new face. I didn't like face Del Rio too much but still supported him. I agree with what D'Z has said basically.

I think the main thing between these two is how much time they receive. Cesaro gets a fair amount of time for the show for someone of his mic skills, and ADR gets to much time and constantly is in the main event. I think they are both great wrestlers, but Cesaro is more fresh, not to say ADR is not good, but Cesaro has a more fresh style and since he doesn't get a lot of time in the show and is not in the main event, it doesn't seem as bad. Now that Cesaro is part of Zeb's 'Murrican program, I can see Cesaro's segments getting better though.
