Why is Antonio Cesaro so much more popular than Del Rio?

The fact Cesaro jobs all the time but Del Rio is treated well when he's over or not has to be the big difference. It's no surprise the IWC supports guys who are underpushed (and Cesaro has been recently, since he's just jobbed to everyone and done nothing before aligning with Zeb) and when a guy like ADR is pushed to the moon and never steps down from the ME they'll hate him. Although I don't remember seeing anyone ask for Cesaro to go to the main event.

And post/threads, as I've made fairly obvious, there isn't really much else to judge it on.

I don't see any excessive love for both ADR or Cesaro lol. I see Cesaro receive more praise, and that's probably because he has had some pretty cool moments in a position that isn't forced. Where as ADR is forcefully in the main event. Naturally he gets shit on more. That's just obvious though.

We all love Tyson Kidd, but if he were forcefully in the ME having mic segment after mic segment - the guy fucksucks on the mic - then eventually we'd get fucking sick of him regardless of how good he is in the ring, and go on about how good Adrian Neville is instead. That's just human nature.

I don't hate ADR on the mic nearly as much as everyone else, but even I have to wonder why Vince insists on giving him a mic week after week, show after show, meanwhile Ziggler has had like 45 seconds of mic time total in 2013.

Exactly. Completely agree. It's that sort of stuff that I see ADR get hated on the most for, stuff that just isn't his fault. Ziggler is a solid ass mic worker now, but got like two promos while champion. One of which was the night after winning it when he had no voice left :(.

I agree, but I don't really see how it's fair at all to be honest. In my earlier days when I used to go over 'there', they just said he sucked, nothing about how good he was. Although they're a bunch of mongs, and I guess using them as an example is hardly fair lmao.

About the bottom bit, I don't think anybody wants to see him in the ME, just on TV at all. The guy's not really got much going for him besides his underdog look and his amazing in-ring work, I reckon most would agree he doesn't really deserve more than midcard.

Anyhow, I'm glad you all hate ADR. Makes the inner-hipster in me like him that much more.

Wonder what you'd be like if everyone here loved him :hmm:

I would still love him, probably just be less vocal about it. I'm sure you can remember back to my WWEF debut that I've always liked and defended ADR.

Yeah, you've been consistent. What's your opinion on a complete gimmick change for ADR?

Does ADR even have a gimmick at this point? generic heel asshole? He has basically dropped the "Mexican Aristocrat" gimmick he had initially. So yea, I'm all for him starting to adopt a new gimmick. I think they need to make RR more face-like (and not be so in on ADR's heelish shenanigans) and have ADR become physically and emotionally abusive towards him. That is his ticket to free heat IMO. WWE is just too stupid to realize how over RR is as a face.

Cesaro is a powerhouse who is newer and i enjoy his matches more because i've seen adr face the same handful of people for a year now. ADR is dope as hell but he has no gimmick now, they built him as the evil heel, and now im just expecting his them to go back to the older one without the random drums. To be fair, cesaro has had some fucked feuds in his time here also, it's just not as stale as ADR, considering ADR has been around longer.

I think ADR is a good worker, but Cesaro is one of the greatest in the world. Their mic work is similar, but Cesaro can do any style to perfection
