And The Rock sold out arenas for years before he was given the title right? Not knocking Rocky, but he had only been a top guy for a few months before being given the WWE title at Survivor Series 1998, hell At Summer Slam 1998 he was in the middle of a (albeit awesome) IC title feud, not exactly headlining PPVs, that was what Austin and Taker were for. Being in the right place and the right time and just connecting with the fans is something you cannot knock, it's just having the gift of gab... Which The Miz sure as hell has.

He was the hottest guy in the company opposite Austin when they were fighting for the IC title. Miz and Del Rio are the "best" of a crop of new guys who all, quite frankly, can't draw flies. Just because they're new, doesn't make them good.

Kaedon, someone felt this way about everyone who ever achieved reaching the top of the business and becoming one of the focal points of the E. It's either they push these guys now, or have nobody when Cena, Triple H, Undertaker, and Edge leave.

And The Miz at the time he was given the strap wasn't the hottest thing in the company? Orton's hot period had cooled and Cena was still well... Cena but he was in the middle of that Nexus program. You also need more than just a few months to determine if somebody can draw. Let's be honest, did people know overnight that Austin was a draw? Rock? HHH? The list goes on. It seems to me you are being very nitpicky about everything, this aint the 90s anymore. The hottest period in the history of the industry. Crowds aren't 1/10th of what they were then. The Miz is, next to Punk the most over heel in the company.

I made these points when this all started; he doesn't give a fuck about the crowd (other than to say Miz isn't getting heat and is way below like 5 heels from each show), and doesn't believe a crowd can't/won't react like they did for The Rock (except that says how poor the Miz is, and a real champion today [whom he says is Cena, Edge, Kane, Taker, Rey, Morrison, Punk, Triple H] could get that kind of reaction). Oh, and don't you dare say Miz is anywhere near Punk, because Punk is lightyears ahead of The Miz, and the only heel comparing to Punk right now is Vickie, and if she gets that much heat, you need to put the strap on her.

I swear to God he said this stuff!

I didnt mean to compare Miz to Punk. I just said that next to Punk, he's the top heel in the company lol along with Sheamus and Vickie, perhaps I should have restated it lol.

I feel comparing anyone's reactions to that of Austin or Rocky is unfair, because like I said the crowd isn't nearly what it was back in the Attitude era. The crowd is much smaller and in various other ways just different. The buisness is 100x different than it was back in the 90s.

Sheamus was simply WWE trying to push a guy too quickly. The Miz has been a mid-card champion, tag team champ, has had time to develop his in-ring performance and charisma. Miz is a logical choice to have the strap.

No, Miz and Del Rio are not logical choices, they are desperate choices because the WWE sees the need to shove new guys down our throats when none of these guys have done shit in their careers.

I'm with you on this one. Perfect annoying heel to be crushed by Cena at 'Mania.

Yeah, because it isn't like The Miz has gotten the WWE more media attention in the last 6 months than they've had in years and that Del Rio hasn't been wrestling for years in Mexico right?!?!

This part is my favourite. Remember K-man listing Daniel Bryan as one of the guys who potentially hold the title? That can't possibly be based on his WWE run as he's been there less than Miz has, so it has to be his indy experience.

Must be nice to be able to pick and choose whose background you'd like to acknowledge based on what is convenient to your argument.

^Yes, but Daniel Bryan looks both convincing in the ring, and in stature (even WITH Michael Cole calling him a scrawny, pipsqueak dork). Miz doesn't look intimidating, and can't go in the ring apparently >_>.

However, some of the Cole knocks on Bryan (especially on NXT) I found very funny lol.

I have been negative on Bryan in the past, but since he returned at Summer Slam I have really opened up to him. He's not someone I'd call one of mt favorites, but he can flat out go in the ring. I have stated in the past that I was wrong about Bryan and I will stand by the statement that I was in fact wrong about Bryan. He's great in the ring but to say he looks more intimidating in the ring than the Miz is dumb, they have very similar builds if you ask me.

Once again, I'm just reiterating Kaedon's sentiments... not my own.

Oh come on. Cena and Orton are getting the loudest cheers because the kids love them. By your reasoning that the most over guys should be headlining Wrestlemania, then I guess Rey Mysterio for the WHC?
