Who Could Solve The Kira Case?​

The title says it all. This thread is inspired by a pretty famous meme graph of fictional detectives/characters who could solve the Kira case in Death Note. It is based in four quadrants, going clockwise: "Could Not Solve The Case, Can Intuit the Mechanics of the Death Note", "Cannot Solve the Case, Cannot Intuit the Death Note", "Could Solve the Case, Could Not Intuit the Death Note", and "Could Solve the Case and Can Intuit The Death Note".

Give a name and we can discuss whether they could or could not succeed against Kira.

Oh Batman would be an easy slam dunk Solve case and figure out how the Death Note works. Light would never be able to figure out that Batman is Bruce Wayne because of his own arrogance and pride. Batman would also never tip Light off to his being investigated.

My favorite tho is Columbo.

What's Columbo's first name? Not only would Light never figure out Columbo's full name, but Columbo would trick Light into exposing himself through sleight of hand and obfuscating stupidity to lull Light into a false sense of security.

I haven't watched much Monk but I think Monk wouldn't be able to solve the case nor how the Death Note works because he'd refuse to accept that the supernatural works.

I think Sherlock would definitely solve the case before Light ever even realized he was being investigated by Holmes. Firstly, Holmes has has experience in the supernatural, secondly, he has a photographic memory, and thirdly, he's a master of disguise. Sherlock would simply assume a pseudonym and act similarly to Columbo in trapping Light in his own contradictions.

Sherlock is pretty OP in most things and L took a lot from him anyway just with added flaws so I think he'd have been much more successful
