If he wrestles regularly for another 10 years (given his schedule) he'll barely be able to walk. They'll need a replacement fo' sho'.

I call about 7-8 years, so he's around 43 or so. He'll be 45 years old in 10 years, I don't see him being the top babyface still then. Not even WWE are that stupid.

That and even with Cena around, they need someone else who can draw... even to the level of a Batista/Hardy/Rey in his prime. Doesn't look like that'll be Sheamus (even though it's creative's fault imo)

He doesn't do all that much in the ring tbh. He takes simple bumps and moves, he is very well protected in the ring. I think he could still go for another ten years EASILY.

Agreed. He hasn't had that many injuries either really. He had that one serious injury which doesn't seem recurrent. To be honest - although many of you will complain - the longer Cena stays the better.

Fair point, but even so, he wrestles a ridiculous amount of matches. Every house show he'll wrestle the main event and undoubtedly get the longest match. It's not possible for him to keep doing that for another 10 years - wrestling often, most likely - but carrying the company on his back is far too much to expect from him.

Hell to the no. I'd much rather watch somebody I'm actually interested and doesn't just regurgitate the same shit year in year out. I respect him as a performer and the work he does for the company, however that doesn't mean I want to see him.

Without Cena, there won't be someone you're interested in. He is the guy to feud with if you want another big time star. WWE relies on big time stars to sell out the many arenas they go to. If Cena goes this year, next year, the next 5 years even, we won't have one. We'll be left with utter crap. Who's the big heel everyone of us like going to feud with? "Oh no, he took out R-Truth, what an impact!".

Cena himself is a fucking AWESOME talent. It's their booking that make him unbearable to some, and that's a factor that can easily change. Losing Cena would be a massive loss to WWE.

Idk.
Let's not forget that he is an athlete and he is in great shape. Taker was in his 40s and put on amazing matches (albeit he is often injured nowadays), but I really don't see why Cena couldn't do the same at age 45 or so. Especially when he'll always do a lot less in the ring than Taker does. Hell, Taker nearly at 50 is still diving over the top rope lol

Cena tries when he has to try. To be honest if I owned WWE I wouldn't want Cena doing suicide dives at house shows or at RAW, when he's worth $100m a year lmao. He's proved to us he can put on awesome matches when he wants, and that's all that matters really. Cena is the guy that needs to job to the next babyface to make him the superstar, it's how WWE has always worked.

But swerving back to the point of this thread, who would go over Cena to take his place? I see no talent currently able to do it.

Ryback, Daniel Bryan, Damien Sandow, Ziggler, Wade Barrett etc and there will probably be new talent on TV like Dean Ambrose.
WWE has great talent and there will always be talent, they just have to push them and put them in good situations... which is something that they apparently don't know how to do anymore, or aren't willing to.

Ryback - Has the look, not sure if he has the charisma/mic skills to be the top dog in WWE. He can be A top dog, but Cena is THE top dog.

Daniel Bryan - Doesn't have the look but has everything else.

Sandow - Not sure he can cut it as a face.

Ziggler - Same as above. Unsure if he can carry a company, despite me loving him.

Barrett - Heel for life and will be one of the best, he can't carry the company as a face though imo.

Ambrose - Doesn't have the look, has everything else.

I guess it does come down to how they're used and which direction the company goes. But currently I don't see it.
