Alright, so at this point it seems painfully obvious to anyone with half a brain that Batista's BIG return has been a major flop. Getting a free pass to win the Rumble and headline Wrestlemania seems to be something that's pissed a lot of fans off, particularly with Mr. Bryan being so popular. A lot of people are complaining that Batista should be a heel, that he doesn't "deserve" what he's been given or that he can't wrestle all that well. While I'm currently reserving judgement on the guy since all I've seen is his appearance in the Rumble, I'm interested to know everyone's reasons behind their negative (or positive if there's one or two of you out there) feelings on the guy.

I wasn't even that big of a Batista fan to begin with when he was active, what is going to make me care that he came back absolutely nothing. This is the third WM where a part timer is featured in the title match. I believe the fans are sick of it. It was ok with The Rock because he is good on the mic and is relevant outside of wrestling. Name one thing Batista did while gone from wrestling? He is irrelevant and boring. Just go away I also think that most fans would rather him be anywhere else but near the main event.

It really just derives from the DBry Love. He's basically the Austin of the new influx, and the only thing people want to see is the Belt around Bryan's waist. Everyone is over Batista, and they have been since like 07. His comeback wouldn't have been as much of a disaster if he just strayed from the title picture and feuded with someone for a decent match a mania. And look at what we're dealing with now. Orton vs. Batista in the Main Event at the grandest stage, for the WWEWHC Title. Its going to be a snooze for sure, unless WWE can sneak Bry in there last second.

Batista's time is up. it has been for a while now, and for him to just barge on in and basically steal the main event from DBry is obsurd, no wonder its pissing everyone off. And, he's not in great shape either. His match with Bertie was mediocre, despite the ear blasting boo's. He is not fit for the Main Event at WM, and he's sure as hell not fit to wear that title around his waist. Think about it. He'll be the second superstar ever, to hold the new WWEWHC Title. Is that really what we want? I thought the WWE was focusing on pushing young talent, and raising a new breed of superstars? Not digging through the trash.

Give me the young up and comers over bringing guys like him back.

Sure having the Rock or Brock around for a few appearances doesn't hurt...but having Batista basically force fed into the Rumble win and Main Event at WM is ridiculous.

This is all HHH's doing tho. He is bringing back his old friends for one more push. Randy never left, but quite frankly, he shouldn't have been the first WWE WHC. It should have been DBry. Watercooler talk around Booker T's gym here in Houston suggests that HHH and DBry have had a backstage issue for quite some time. While Vince is handling the business side of things, he has given HHH total control over TV/Creative. His creative input was awesome in the Attitude era, but we are past that now.

I don't know all the details and the scuttlebutt is slim pickings over at the gym. I do know, however, that HHH and DBry most likely have had run-ins in the back. Not sure to what, but this is what I'm hearing. Right now, there is talk of steering away from HHH v DBry at WM to Kane v DBry. I don't know how connected Booker is staying with the WWE. He hasn't led on or hinted otherwise, but one thing is clear. HHH does not want Bryan in the title picture at all.
