In what world does a movie with Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence directed by David O. Russell look shitty? That doesn't even compute with me.

Yeah there's no way American Hustle is shitty. There is no way.

Well I guess maybe there is a way because honestly I thought I Heart Huckabees was pretty terrible so David O. Russell is capable of it, but with this type of movie and this type of cast I don't see how it'll go wrong.

Well i just checked out the Trailer for the Bale one and it looks decent. There was none that really stood out to me though. If i'm gonna watch any of them it could be that one. And I didn't even see Lawrence in the trailer I'll watch it again.

Really Want to see Jack Ryan. The Nut Job will be a decent Kids film and the Ride Along with make money but will probably be horrible.

Devil's Due is probably gonna be terrible, but it's still sucking me in! Also interested by the first major horror movie of the year... but they're almost never any good.

The poster for Jack Ryan makes it look like every other action movie ever released.

As I've mentioned elsewhere, Devil's Due is directed by Radio Silence, the team responsible for one of the better segments in V/H/S, so I'm intrigued to see what they can do with a feature-length film. Also wouldn't mind seeing Jack Ryan but it'll probably be pretty generic.

Well, an interesting crop of movies coming out this week....


The Son of God - yet another "story of Jesus".
Non-Stop - Liam Neeson kicks ass on an airplane.
The Wind Rises - Miyazaki's final, and apparently most personal, film.
Repentance - interesting looking thriller starring Forest Whittaker and Anthony Mackie.
Stalingrad - yep, its about Stalingrad in 1942.
Odd Thomas - Chekov sees dead people...and he fucks their shit up too! Also with Willem Dafoe
Hairbrained - It's got Brendan Fraser...wow, he's still alive!


So what are you most looking forward to? For me its got to be The Wind Rises, since I've loved everything Miyazaki has done to this point. I can't see it being anything short of brilliant and, luckily, its playing here already so I can go see it tomorrow...YES~!

I thought the wind rises came out this weekend but if not that is my movie to see this weekend along with Taken 3 oh I mean Pelham oh sorry Non - stop because Liam Neeson is the fucking man.
