You know as I was typing that I was thinking that too. The thing with that one is that they've done Orton-Flair so many times. They've done HBK-Orton before, but I don't think it's been done as much as Flair. Also Rated RKO beat the living hell out of Flair once last year so I think kicking HBK would be more effective, but Flair would also make a lot of sense.

Haha, things have changed drastically with Flair though. If Orton did that now people would definitely care especially now that Flair's career is about to be over.

He could be, but I still think that HBK would be more effective for HHH. I was just saying the fans would probably take greater offense to it now rather than last year.

I wanted to add that his last title in October was the cheapest he could've asked for. It existed only to allow him to say he has 11 reigns as champion whenever he's doing a promo.

If anyone suggests that he was putting over Orton is full of shit and only kidding themselves.

So just handing him the title makes more sense then beating HHH? I'm not going to make a big thing about this, but I don't see how beating HHH doesn't help put Orton over opposed to McMahon just handing him the title.

^^He had already been the dominate force in the feud with Cena. Handing him the title would've proven his point. I suppose you forgot that in 2002 good ol Trips was handed a title that came from nowhere and he defeated no one.

Well I didn't really watch wrestling back then so I gues I forgot that, although what the fuck that has to do with Orton beating HHH, I have no idea. Anyway I still contend that Randy Orton beating HHH looks better than him being handed the title. And HHH being 10 time or 11 time champion really makes no difference. Besides it added an entertainment value that most HHH-haters love to ignore. It had a great element of surprise, made the entire PPV very entertaining because besides that happening it was not a very good PPV, and helped make Orton look better so I don't see the problem with it.

but randy could have beaten hhh straight away, after Orton was ahnded the title to retain it. hhh was just giving himself another title reign. (i tried to stay out of a hhh arguement but it was just too tempting)

But VKM said before the PPV that history was gonna be made so thats probz why he did it.

Jesus no, just no. Look, they pretty much established that they were going to hand Orton the title, we all knew it was coming. So HHH comes out and says his little thing and he gets a match. Then later that night they had the LMS match. Orton came out looking great in that match, beating the babyface HHH who appeared to be unstoppable. Not to mention the fact that, that match was probably MOTY material, it was fantastic if look you would look pasat your prejudice against HHH. Also HHH is a 10 time world champion. Do you think 1, 2 hour reign would have mattered that much to him? If anything I thought he came out looking kind of weak and it was a stupid thing for him to do to just have a 2 hour title reign. Coming into that night we had, had Cena for a year and a half and at every PPV we pretty much knew exactly what was going to happen. That PPV brought back the unpredictability and was booked very well imo.
