Rumor has it The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero / Cluadio Castagnoli) will face off against The Worlds Greatest Tag Team Sept 11 in NYC at Glory By HOnor 9! ROH has put out some teasers WGTT would be coming in, and the rumors appear to be getting stronger.

They aren't signed yet, but likely they will appear for at least one show.

vs Briscoes. Plz. And Steenerico.

Uhm dude Steenerico hasn't been a tag team since Final Battle 2009 and have actually been engaged in a blood feud for all of 2010. There's so many possibilities for WGTT in ROH. American Wolves, Dark City Fight Club, All Night Express, list goes on.

Ugh.

WGTT should just go to TNA and put on 5* matches against the likes of Beer Money & Motor City Machine Guns.

I know they broke up, but they could easily write them into a forced match that would give us one amazing match and further the feud. Dark City Fight Club? No sir.

That would be about it. Who else is on TNA tag roster? Ink Inc? I'd rather them vs. Dark City and I don't want to see that. Gen Me? Ehh, would be nice, but not as nice as matches as they could have in RoH.

But I do think people are over rating WGTT a little bit. They were a good team, but it's not like they had a 5 star match, ever. They're best matches were against Los Guerreros and when they faced Benoit and Rhino, but that was loonnggg ago. I think it's more of a nostalgia thing then a proven track record. They only teamed together for like a year or so anyways.

More excited about the prospect of Shelton getting a shot in a company more suitable for him probably, maybe he could shine here.

During last nights Final Battle, it was officially announced that Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas will be in Ring of Honor regularly in 2011. Their goal is to win the ROH tag team titles, and their next scheduled appearance is Feb. PPV in Chicago where the WGTT will face off against the Briscoe Brothers. This could be for the #1 contender spot.

Are you insinuating that Ring of Honor doesn't have quality tag teams that Haas and Benjamin can contend with???? Look, don't get me wrong, I like both Beer Money and MCMG, but Jay and Mark Briscoe and Kings of Wrestling are just as good as those 2 teams. People can argue and disagree, but I still put Jay and Mark Briscoe as the best tag team in wrestling today. If you need proof, watch both matches they had with MCMG in Ring of Honor. Watch their matches with Austin Aries and Roderick Strong, absolute classic tag team wrestling, especially at Unified. Their matches against Steen and Generico are legendary as well. The Briscoes have made many a tag team and get very little credit. Just look at The Young Bucks/Generation Me. Im not saying that GM is all that, but it's no secret that the Briscoes put them over and made them. Their matches with Jay and Mark in ROH is why TNA signed them. Trust me, if Haas and Benjamin go to ROH full time, they'll be used properly. They'll be put in solid tag team matches and not in stupid gimmick matches. They'll be pushed for titles. They'll be in quality feuds. I hope Haas and Benjamin sign on full time. It would be major step in the right direction for ROH.

I agree about the Briscoes as the top tag team in wrestling, and have proven so the past 5 years. Don't forget about the American Wolves too. They can go toe to toe with MCMG or Beer Money. I do like how TNA signed Generation Me/Young Bucks. That was a great signing, cause they would have done BIG things in ROH.

I think if they would have went to TNA they would have been lost in the shuffle, and the WWE would consider them tainted goods after. At least now WGTT can raise their stock in ROH over the next year. Although i could see Shelton leaving and Haas staying down the road.

Never mind the respective quality of ROH & TNAs tag rosters.... Is it just me that sees WGTT as being over-rated within this discussion.

I liked them, but as said by someone else above, they were only together for a short period of time; had a rub from Kurt and were put over by Eddie & Chavo then didn't really amount to anything beyond that.
