The leader of the now emerges to meet a powerful foe whom he never had the pleasure of facing off against in WCW, in the form of The Dragon, while two young stallions lie in the waits, with Team Canada’s Lance Storm and former Jung Dragon member Jamie Noble lick their chops for a shot at the legends.

And Steamboat put on incredible matches while actually, GASP, putting over new talent like Austin.

I think Hogan's turn is one of the most important moments in wrestling, but after that, fuck it. There is no way I'm voting Egomania over a solid worker who actually understands how the business is supposed to work.

Steamboat, and its not even close.

This one was tough for me, but I am going with Steamboat. He contributed to the future of WCW instead of looking out for his own good all of the time like Hogan. Steamboat had some amazing matches as well, much better than anyone else on the list.

It other heats Storm would have legit case for going through but not here.

Steamboat over Hogan for me. Hogan had that one big moment that transformed the company, but apart from that I feel more of Steamboat's contributions were for the better of the company.

As much as I would love to go with Storm... I have to go with a hard worker, a guy that embodies (like Flair) what a pro wrestler should be... Ricky Steamboat

I am going to have to go against the grain on this one, and even though Steamboat is a great wrestler, Hogan brought WCW to the table in the Monday night Wars with Hall and Nash... Even though it was egotistical it did boost WCW to new heights... Shun me if you wish, but I vote Hogan

Tough draw for Noble and Storm... both are amazing talents but just no chance here. Hogan and the NWO were entertaining and all but Fuji made the case for Steamboat, he put on better matches and Hogan never put anyone over! Steamboat is my vote here.

Steamboat just might be the greatest in-ring performer of all-time. That, with the added bonus that he really made his mark in WCW more than in the WWF (aside from his matches with Mach, I'll admit), make him the definite winner. I don't shun those who vote for Hogan because he really could have gotten far in this thing had he been marched up with most anyone except for The Dragon. He is an impeccable talent.

Steamboat easily...Hogan bullied WCW into giving him everything cuz he was Hulk Hogan...the heel turn was great but his promos were shit and he couldn't wrestle...Steamboats Flair matches were some of the greatest EVAH

I understand people voting for Steamboat, but in all honestly without Steamboat WCW wouldn't have been that much different, without Hogan the whole landscape would have been different and it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. So with that being said, I vote for...

Lance Storm.

The thing is, this is a competition to determine the GOAT, which to me means you have to have it all, from in-ring skills to mic work to the ability to make your opponents look better. For me, nobody in this group exemplifies those qualities more than Ricky Steamboat, and that's what a true GOAT is.

Hogan's an egomaniac pos who did just as much harm to WCW as he did good.

Hogan and his politicing arguably brought WCW to its death faster than not. Really, they had Turner behind them the whole time. They had a timeslot and an endless fortune no matter what. It's only when Hogan, Nash, Hall, Russo, and their whole band of know nothing dickwads came into the picture that the product got so unappealing that no one wanted to tune in. If they were doing what they were doing in 1993 in 2000, their ratings would have probably have been better and they wouldn't have been spending shitloads of money on a retirement home for has beens.
