Since this is the Discussion thread, I've got something I want to discuss outside the extremely arbitrary and pointless "I'm going to TT or send a promo soon" post. And this time, I'm not going to dress it up as an in character promo. There are a couple of things that are becoming extremely annoying and personally I want to nip it in the butt before they become a trend.

1) Please stop sending me PMs asking me where your character is going. I've recieved close to 10 of these over the past three weeks and I'm getting sick of them. For everyone who was written for a fed before and there's a lot of you out there, you know how hard it is to come up with compelling storylines for one roster. Try imagine doing it for two and not having them be the exact same thing. I literally spend hours trying to come up with ideas for the people who I trust to constantly show up, so I don't need constant questions about why you lost a match or why you aren't World Champion. Sit back and enjoy whatever is going on with your character. Try to be a fan instead of knowing everything that's going to happen because there's no fun in that.

2) and this is the one that annoys me the most. I'm sick and tired of people not commenting on the shows that we busy our asses on. It's happening way too much. Take this recent Raw for example. It's been up for 10 hours and its got two comments. Yet everyone on the Raw roster has read it. And the two comments are from people who aren't even on the damn brand. To me, that's a slap in the face. I can't speak for Sam or Dresden, but I'm giving you hours of my life to provide you with something entertaining and you can't give me five minute to read it and tell me what you liked and didn't like. If you're not on the brand, I can understand. But if you're on any of the three brands and are involved and you can't bother to post a half assed comment, you're disrespecting out hard work and that's not cool.

I think a lot of you need to realize that you should never take a good thing for granted, because when it's gone, you'll probably miss it.

Shouldn't be any reason why people cant do what you're asking. The time they save by not emailing you about their character they can spend reviewing the shows. It means you're not even asking people to give up any more of their time than they already are.

Have to be honest. Just got back from a business trip and am neck deep in a massive tag match on Smackdown. I didn't see it go up. I usually try to give yiou your props. Cause I've helped write and run a fed and know the headaches. I'm also like most of these guys and are in creative mode 24/7. So, sorry for any annoying questons. I've learned my lesson there.

Usually quick to jump on and let you know you're appreciated...cause you are!

Wow I didn't realize that people actually went and asked where their characters were going. There really is no point in knowing exactly what's going to happen. As long as you're given good feuds its okay. Hell my Ambrose was in limbo for awhile but I never asked where I was going. I always take time to comment on the show and I typically avoid giving props to people who just talk about themselves because they've already given themselves all the recognition they need. I will rarely comment on RAW but I do read it. I skim some of the matches on RAW if I'm not intrested in them but I do read everything else.

Really what this all comes down to is common courtesy. Show up on time, TT, read the show and then comment on it. It's not that hard. It takes CWalker hours to put together a good show. It takes five minutes to talk about it and praise everyone for their hard work. Besides everyone likes it when they get their ego's stroked.

I'm technically not on Raw... but I check it out and read through it cause I like the stuff that is going on. I'm no NxT now so I look through that. I'm on Smackdown so I look through that. But I make sure to comment cause I've been on both sides and it feels good to know people actually took the time to comment. Even if its just a 2 or 3 line comment... anything is better than nothing. Just the acknowledgement lets the writers know that... hey these guys actually do pay attention to the shows going up.

But as far as asking week in and week out where the character is going? How about instead of asking maybe make a suggestion. Help out some. This is your character. I mean look at Edge for example... Started as a face, turned heel, grabbed Victoria from out of left field, dropped her for Trish, now I got this European title and it's not like... oh I'm the European champion... No I'm The Rated R European Champion. Run with what you got. Win or lose run with what you got for the next show. Do promos where you stating things that you want. I mean don't everyone go out trying to challenge the world champion or anything but... it does get irritating when you have to sift through PMs all asking where is my character going or why did I lose. The only PMs I send him and he can attest to this is... hey ya need a promo? Or did anybody send a promo in cause I'll work on one if need be.

But its time to start bitch slapping some folks if they don't wanna take a minute or two to comment on a show. The guy is running and writing for both Raw and Smackdown. Two full rosters full of egos. Shoot I know I have an ego and I'm not afraid to strut it. But put your egos aside whether you win or lose on the show and comment. Someone has to win and someone has to lose. Its the nature of the game. Have fun with it.

Your Rated R European Champion, Your Samoan Bulldozer, Your most electrifying fedder in alllllll of fedding entertainment, Your owner of the most dynamic and successful manager of all time...

Slim.

You are right CW. That no commenting things is not intentionally I believe but maybe they just forget or don't have time to write but when we do some empathy, you put so much hard work for both Raw and SmackDown so you and your shows, your efforts deserves some time from us. Personally I try to comment show as good as it can be because these comments lead the way of booking and storylines because if in comments we say that we don't like all things can change so these comments are for shows quality, which is about and for us. I like the shows, that bad thing is just example.

I agree with you wholeheartedly.

For both of you to get five trashtalks in over the course of 3 days is amazing.

To the guys who always only get 1 a piece in throughout a week, this is how u make sure you go somewhere instead of complaining about your spot

I'll throw my hand up right now and say I sent Cwalker a PM a few weeks ago regarding the direction of my character. I NEVER do it, in fact I can't even remember a time I have ever asked a writer where my character is going, but this was one time I really wanted to know. Frankly I think if somebody does it regularly then that's just fucking ridiculous, but I don't think I did anything wrong by asking just this one time. And now it turns out I had nothing really to worry about as I'm teaming with Chase, we're feuding with the tag champs, and there's a nice feud developing. But did I know that at the time? No. Was there anything wrong with me asking? No, I don't think so. I was only curious and there's nothing wrong with that. Either way I got straight on with it and everything's fine... apart from the fact Christian was NEARLY MURDERED! :p

As for commenting on shows, I've not done that recently, but I always make sure I give the show a like to recognise that a good job was done. With commenting, it's always the same generic comment of "Good show, nice matches, feuds are going well" etc. Although I'm sure it's very encouraging for a writer to hear these and use them as motivation to continue doing a great job, surely so many of them can bring it to the point of "These comments are so repetitive, am I actually doing a good job"? It can be taken either way, but I think comments are better than nothing, so I'll make sure I throw some up more regularly.

I try to change my comments up some here and there. Just to add a lil more fun. Then also cause I don't like doin the same sorta comment twice in a row... unless I happen to slip up and it accidentally happens then... ah well :p

Well, since it's confession time, I too asked about the direction of my character. Cause I'm a writer at heart and I'm always throwing bones to the writers about possible directions and hit quite a few snags in the month of December. It's all good now. I just mind my own business and do what I'm here to do...bring it week after week.

Update time on Calling Shots. So I had a super long rehearsal yesterday, and spent all day today with my girlfriend. So needless to say, there will not be a Calling Shots this week, but next Wednesday I'll hammer out a big one to make up for the missing one this week.
