I think the Royal Rumble trash talking thread is the perfect model that shows that almost everyone in UWF is heel. Either that, or the faces haven't shown up yet. Making easier for me though, being a face, leaves me a lot to talk about against all these heels.

You forgot one, holmes.

I got one more TT left in there, saved you for last. I had already gone on for some time and figured I would take you on in the last one.

I can't do face, I would happily switch if I could but I mean even my characters are not face like. The closest thing I've gotten to face is probably a quick Rock try, and my Tyson Kidd that I tried to play heel but people interacted with as a face.

But I will say that when I'm trash talking I never see the heel or face, it's just someone against me so their the enemy, so from my pov the only heel in the thread was Cesaro since he was on my side. That however does not help the writers when everyone's a bad guy doing bad guy things to other bad guys.

I can switch to either honestly. But sometimes you take on a character where you can't really see them as a face or heel, depending on who you pick.

For the record I did come in with Edge as a face. I'm just a natural heel and work better as one. But I was a face for a while before transitioning to a heel.

Bateman is a face also. The only reason my Ambrose is face is because UWF needed more faces when it first started. I played him heel for like the first month but that's it. Honestly haven't really changed his character much at all when i transitioned. Basically say the same stuff except I add the crowd cheers instead. But he's not in the Rumble.

it is notoriously more difficult to play face. Both of my guys started out face, but Mankind just took a dark turn and Jarrett? Well, he's a face with a tweener bend. He likes to tell it like it is when it comes to heels. Which means against most of the roster he can go off! lol! Notice I don't lay into HBK as bads as the others in the RUMBLE TT thread.

Just looking back through my track record, like 85% of my "success", so to speak, has been with heels. I've won world titles with six different characters and only one was a face, which was my first character ever used. I'm one of those guys that just prefers to play as a heel over face, and really it's because they're just more exciting to play. As long as you stay in character, you can just abuse the fuck out of an opponent. It's more entertaining than saying "You're great, I respect you" etc.

The way I see it, faces tend to always back up faces, but heels not so much. Heels don't give a shit and care little about making friends, but faces it's different. Seeing how the majority play heels, obviously it's not good for the balance, but you can pit them together in matches no problem.

Sting is the only character I've played that it was easier to be a face, the only problem is it got stale after awhile. Playing a heel Stone Cold was just as easy as playing a face one, and the same goes for Mankind. I play Eddie as a heel because with the character development I've invested in him, it's almost impossible to play him as a face. To me, the alignment depends on who I'm playing.

Personally, I've had 50/50 success as a heel and face. I don't measure success my World Championships.

Speaking as a guy who played the same face character for over two years, you don't have to play the "I respect you" card every time you face another face. I feel like playing that card just means you don't have a character and I see people do it now. If you develop a character, you can still be a face with an edge.

Some people just play heel because it's easier. Like AK said, they think there's more freedom. But, honestly, I don't think it's true

We all have our own ways of measuring success. For example, Banks measured his by how memorable a feud was and he was always seeking feud after feud. He was quite particular with how it all went as it indicated how much fun he had with playing a character, but I'm the opposite. Sure a feud can be special, but for me championships are around for a reason. I don't just measure success in winning World Championships, I measure it by if I can win at least one championship with any of them. If I can, it's an indication I must've played that character well and I have something to show for it.

I feel like playing that card just means you don't have a character and I see people do it now. If you develop a character, you can still be a face with an edge.

I don't think it necessarily means you don't have a character. Faces always show respect to other faces, it's their deal. If you mention that in TTs, like I do at times with Taz, that doesn't mean I'm playing him wrong. In my case, I make it lead towards something, I use that mention of respect to branch off and form a point. Obviously development comes with experience as that character, but the "respect" factor is necessary, especially when using an older guy like Taz, Sting, Shawn Michaels etc.

Some people just play heel because it's easier. Like AK said, they think there's more freedom. But, honestly, I don't think it's true

I didn't say there's more freedom playing a heel, it can just be a little more entertaining or exciting. You restrict yourself with what character you pick and how you play them, whether heel or face. For example, you can't say you'll bash someone when playing Sin Cara. In fact, I'm not sure how you'd play Cara, but that there is a restriction.

I must say that it's a little disappointing to only recieve three promos when I asked for one from everyone on the raw roster.
