Had my first promo. I struggled because I'm not a native speaker. I think it was ok for first promo. I will be better later on.

Hey man I play Hawkins. I'll get a reply up tonight. Good start by the way.

The type of thread I got going now with Captain is my favorite type. Quick back and forth jabs at each other. Makes it more realistic, and allows TT'ers to post more and respond quicker because they don't have to write a freaking essay every TT.

Had to cut it off. Because I felt like it should end there. Sorry dude. It was a nice promo.

I can say that is def my least fave style. While it allows for quick jabs... it restrains a lot. If both guys are known for not talking long while both are inside the ring at the same time... yeah it looks more believable. Otherwise its just... eh. But that's my take on it.

I'm so over reading these posts. Times change and it has been this way for years now. Memories are memories.

I actually find myself agreeing with Tapout here. I find multiple short TTs much easier to read, more fresh and less likely to seem like the TTer is rambling. That said however, I can understand the long posts. Not everyone has the time to post whenever so they like to get everything they want to say out right away. People have busy lives and its hard to find the time to do a lot of short back and forths.

I don't care how much people say they don't...longer TT`s always have an advantage. The most I like posting is 3-5 shorter paragraphs.

Longer TTs only have an advantage if they are written well.

I've seen plenty of long TTs that were absolute garbage and put me to sleep and make me wanna choke the writer for making me read that crap.

There is no such thing as a "guarantee" way to win as far as length goes. It is ALL about quality and how well you can engage your reader. Short ones can be absolute crap as well.

If doing long posts really provided an advantage, I'd have won 90% of my matches ever.

The way I see it... if you want to stay in the lower rungs... keep to the shorter TTs. if you want to elevate your game and get to the main event. Write longer.

I don't think it matters so long as you're consistent and good. It does look bad though when you only get one a piece in short style. Makes it seem like you didn't try. When I start match threads, I always try to go 3-4 paragraphs of six lines or 5-6 in PPV matches.

Well it was a rather general statement. But its more along the lines of... effort and the shorter it is... the less effort it appears is being placed. Just with some... I dunno.

This is just one of those "debates" that doesn't have an end.
