Re: Chillin' with Chase Episode 1: Prodigy

I finally got around to listening to this and as probably the biggest podcast fan here (albeit mostly comedy podcasts) I did in fact enjoy it. Are you using an actual mic? The sound quality was very good on your part. Was a bit hard to understand Prodigy at some points but that might have been a mix of the speaker and his accent. You have a relatively small market here but a dedicated one. I vaguely remember some guys around the time I was in UCW. Every time someone brings up LK I think of Lizard King as opposed to Legend Killer. I guess thats because that was after my time I believe. I like hearing other people's stories throughout their E-Fed careers. I'd however like to hear about half of the show being devoted to UWF as it'll widen your listener range for people who weren't around PWMania or some of the other Feds.

Re: Return of The Dose!

yay UCW raw battle royal, The night JBL became UCW Champion. Shortly afterwards throwing away that title in a trash can and bringing out a new UCW Championship. Hmm that sounds familiar, didn't some rattlesnake do something like that? lulz.

great read, and I love the new feature. When in need of an interview hit me up, what is it now? 5 years of effeding with you guys so that should provide some material of which to ask questions for I'll answer anything. lol

not going to lie, this new interactive section is starting to get me in the mood to do something myself, but have no idea what to base it off of. We'll see, nice to see Da Dose back can't wait to keep tuning in.

I had forgotten about JBL trashing the championship until you mentioned it, I guess greyt minds think alike when it comes to Texan heel world champions. lol I would definitely love to interview you, honestly the hardest part of interviewing you guys is thinking up which questions to ask.

Re: Return of The Dose!

Somehow you just made the dose even greater. Nice to see the column always evolving and expanding. I'd like to see more Q&A sessions goiania future editions. Also it's good to have a theme song but I don't think the one suggested fits. I don't have an idea what would fit either. I don't think it's necessary though since its not like everyones gonna listen to it all the time.

That's true, if it was a live thing like a YouTube show or a podcast like, "Chillin' with Chase" then it would necessitate a theme song, but since it isn't, The Dose does not require one. Might start referring to what I'm listening to as I write it in the future, if it's anything.

Re: Return of The Dose!

I would say use the Dr. Mario theme music :p

But heh glad people enjoyed the interview. I don't like holding back anything so that was good that I was able to just let loose everything. But the dose... always delivers... and number 2 woooo... It woulda been good if we could have delivered more trash talks for that match. But we can count that as my Official retirement match from full time as The Rock so that should count for somethin :D

Pikachu better win or else I'ma have The Rock find you and give you a Rock Bottom :D

He is still lookin over these doses. He's impressed.

Re: Outside The Ropes: Second Edition!

Looking back on the little excerpt I put about Austin versus Christian, I forgot one thing. And that's before I made that stipulation in their match on Raw, I was really close to just having the title match on that edition of Raw. Only reason I didn't do it was because I thought it may cause some issuses.

But AK, you have no clue how close you were to winning the Championship that night and pretty much would have been defending the title at The Great American Bash opposed to challenging for it.

Aww mannnnnn, why couldn't you have gone through with it? :p

Haha in all seriousness, it was probably best you didn't. It would've caused some issues, but look at the main event you've got out of it. I think it all worked out for the best... that is if Christian becomes champ at GAB ;)

Re: Chillin' with Chase Episode 1: Prodigy

Haha loved it guys, awesome listen! Just wanted to touch on a few mentions of myself:

I did in fact win the WCW Championship with Curt Hawkins, and it was at UCW Wrestlemania 3. It was me vs. Kevin Nash (ScappyBullsfan) vs. Chris Masters (Mike/--RKO--). The catch is I kinda won it by default - Scappy no-showed as champ, I had 2 posts to 1 over Mike, so you know how it goes. I held the title for 35 days and lost it to Jay's Triple H, who I'm pretty sure went on to have the longest reign as WCW Champ. So yeah, good times, but it was a bit of a fluke even though I was pretty confident I would've won it anyway, as were most people.

Thanks for the mention of my badass Sim Snuka too, as well as him being Prod's favourite world title reign of mine. I counted like 3 or 4 mentions of my Sim Snuka, so I can't believe it's held in such high regard. It was an interesting time to say the least.

I will definitely get on Skype for an episode, but the thing is I don't trust my internet at all so I wouldn't be surprised if it dropped out numerous times, but who knows, maybe it won't be fucking lame for once.

Anyway, awesome idea!

Re: Chillin' with Chase Episode 1: Prodigy

Okay, first of all. I have to change my name or at least shorten it, 'cause from what I've heard and read, everyone has a problem with it lol. Next thing is ... Chase, I'm from Czech Republic, which means I live in Europe and now I'm European Champion ... it was meant to be like that! It was my destiny! haha :p

Anyway, great idea, great podcast, I really enjoyed listening to you and Prodigy. This idea has potential to become the best column here, but you gotta fight Effective Thinking, Outside The Ropes and Dresden Dose. But still, I am a huge fan of this, continue with it. ;)

Thanks for the good feedback. BTW Dredson I think it was Chase who said Jadedone's Austin was the best he's seen, yours was the best I've seen in feds.

Yeah I should've put his name to make it clearer who I was talking to, sorry about that. But thank you sir, I never tire of compliments, and this was a live one.

Re: Chillin' with Chase Episode 1: Prodigy

Very good listen and I don't normally listen to podcasts. It was good to remember some of those older days of ETW and young UCW. Those were some good times back then. Anyone remember Kizarny? Two time Number one contender to the UCW championship haha. I miss playing him sometimes.

I agree with a lot of things said and it was nice to hear some talk about E-fed where the drama was left out. I think UWF is a fairly drama free environment which is why I like it here. Prodigy was a great first guest and yes he does sound a little like Barrett haha. Can't wait for the next one. This is a very good idea Chase.

Super 8! The Debut Edition

Ladies and gentlemen. My name is Lewbrication (Forum name, not like birth certificate shit and all), and I proudly welcome you to my first ever edition of....

UWF's Raw & Smackdown! Super 8!

This is the show that I shall bring to you weekly, giving you my insight into who is moving from where on each show, gliding up or down the rankings, and why I believe each superstar believes to be where they are. The first edition shall start the only place I believe it can do, and that is right at the end of the Great American Bash. Now, as I write this, Raw has been posted and a lot has changed, so I am also going to endorse that into this edition. The Great American Bash has come and passed, and in the hour of expert reading, we have learned of new champions, belts changing hands, titles being retained, grudges being met and a career of a former champion, being brought to an abrupt but definitive end. While trying to decide which brand I do first, I thought I would base that decision on the inter brand warfare, tag team championship matches result in which Smackdown won. So, the blue team can read on with no worries for the next ten minutes, as Raw gets put under the spotlight for the first half of Super 8. Let's find out who the first ever superstar to be featured on here is!

Super 8: Tuesday Night Raw

8: Tapout

CurtHawkins.jpg

Curt Hawkins since joining Tuesday Raw has more than made an impact. With a three match undefeated streak, and this past week on Raw, becoming the UWF Hardcore Champion, he certainly has got a lot of fans noticing his unique fighting style. With good friend Tyler Reks in his corner, Hawkins looks to further his dominance by picking up a victory against Christopher Daniels in a non-title match up which will surely test his credentials further. A win against The Fallen Angel could see him move further up the list next week, but take pride in opening my first ever Super 8. "The Party Starter" has never been so apt.

7: EffectsofRaven
RobertRoode.jpg

After what was a crushing defeat at the Bash against MVP and a trusty assist from his necklace, Robert Roode still showed in that match the skills he possesses that has made him the NWA Heavyweight champion for all this time. Last week on Raw he showed his frustrations by taking out both Justin Gabriel and Evan Bourne in an unprecedented attack. And it certainly Pays to be Roode, as he already has himself a blockbuster match cemented at The Biggest Event of the Summer, where he has gotten the attention of one time best friend and tag team partner James Storm, who has made his way to UWF from UCW just to give Robert Roode an ass-kicking. This week, Roode will look to make an example of a man that only just missed the Super 8 list in Bully Ray, and show that the Great American Bash was just a blip.

6: rawisrey
UWFCodyRhodes.jpg

I certainly don't believe that he had a choice. Having the Anaconda Vice strapped onto him for so long, there is not a man on the roster that would not have eventually tapped out or passed out. I suppose that wouldn't be much of a consolation for losing the United States championship, but Cody Rhodes confirms his place on the Super 8 list after being announced as one of the men that has staked a claim to the Undisputed title, and has found himself being announced as a part of the Elimination Chamber match at Summerslam. Not only that but Rhodes will be looking to knock off the champion in singles competition, just like he did the last time they squared off.

5: Aniking

Christian.jpg

So close. So very close, to becoming the man. Who knows, if the referee made the right call, then the match would have continued and Christian may have fought back into what was an incredible competitive match. And although the disappointment was plain as day to see in Christian, he was rewarded a rematch at Summerslam for the Undisputed Championship. It does however remain to be seen whether he is happy about sharing his opportunity with four other contenders, one of them in which he faces in singles action this Tuesday, Montel Vontavious Porter. Captain Charisma will certainly be looking to pick up a victory and show he is the real contender out of the lot.

4: albo2
MVP.jpg

MVP has certainly been on a roll, making "big things poppin" in his own words. Despite his way of winning, he still got the victory last Sunday against Bobby Roode, and that is the win that has catapulted him up to the highest heights he can be, when he gets locked in the Elimination Chamber with the very best Raw has to offer. With weapon shots legal in a match like that, surely Montel will feel confident about his chances, but before he gets there, he does have a very pissed off Christian to take care of. Both 4 and 5 on the Super 8 list, one slip and MVP could see himself slipping, but a victory will only emulate him higher and higher, just where the highest paid superstar in UWF feels he deserves to be.

3: DOM

CMPunkUnitedStates.jpg

The Best in the World has officially become the Best in the United States. The Second City Savior done what many were calling the impossible, and that's wrestling the United States Championship away from the formidable grasp of Cody Rhodes. The longest Anaconda Vice that has possibly been seen in UWF history gave Punk the submission victory against the nWo member, and now Punk has his first gold since being the very first Undisputed champion. The Peoples Champion is the next in Punks sight this week on Raw, looking to show anyone that may be eyeing up his championship that he is certainly a fighting champion.

2: Mr Fetter
UWFRandyOrton.jpg

Difficult as it was to decide the order of these, I felt that Randy Orton deserves to be second on my list. He didn't win a championship at The Bash, but as a member of the nWo, he went into the Bash knowing a defeat would cause the nWo to break up forever. Standing in his was was Austin Aries, a former Undisputed champion and a man on a roll since coming back. But the Viper showed the same tenacity and brawn that he showed against John Cena the pay per view prior and give The Greatest Man That Ever Lived the most humbling experience he must have ever felt. An RKO straight into the unemployment line. And for Randy, he now finds himself one of the six men in the Elimination Chamber. Looking like the nWo is under more jeopardy than ever, is this where The Apex Predator shows why he has been at the top so many times before?

1: Chris Dresden

StoneColdUWFChampion.jpg

What can you say about Stone Cold that has not already been said. The Undisputed Champion no longer in disregard for the UWF fans, but he has gained their respect and adoration during a time that through his biggest struggle yet to keep the UWF Championship, he was able to do so in a five star match against worth opponent Christian. But if you think that makes things any easier for Good Ol' Stone Cold, think again. now, he finds himself having to defend his title all over again, against five other superstars, one un-named, in an Elimination Chamber match. The most vocal man on Raw will surely have something to say about that, as well as his match against one of his Summerslam opponents, Cody Rhodes. Check out Raw to see how Austin does and to see whether he can keep hold of..... The Bottom Line.... on Super 8!

So..... There you have it. The Red side has been analysed and picked apart and the top eight have been chosen. Cwalker can be proud to have a top eight that has such potential, with other superstars also pushing to break into the Super 8 such as James Storm, Bully Ray and Christopher Daniels. With Summerslam already taking shape, the vying for places will be tough, and whoever makes the top eight next week will surely deserve it. Now, SBS and EffectsOfRaven can look on at the superstars made through their creation, as we move onto Smackdowns Super 8!

Super 8: Thursday night Smackdown

8. slim

Edge.jpg

A return for the Rated "R" Superstar didn't turn out exactly the way that he planned. He has entertain the last couple of Thursday nights and has shown he has not missed a beat, but in the end Damien Sandow proved to be that little bit too much on the night at The Bash. Maybe a little ring rust. But you bet your ass that Edge will be looking for retribution of some kind this Thursday night!

7. Blizzard
JohnCena.jpg

If anyone impressed more than the rest of the King of the Mountain competitors then it is this man, John Cena. Drafted to Smackdown after a bad start to his UWF career, and Cena gave it his all to get in the world title picture, winning a Royal Rumble match after literally just losing to Jeff Hardy minutes before. And since then Cena has shown his spirit and will to succeed. Falling short in the main event, Smackdown he has vowed to address everyone personally and let everyone know his plans going into Summerslam.

6. Chris Dresden & EffectsofRaven
StingTagChamp.jpg
&
SamoaJoeTagChamp.jpg

I don't really think anyone was in any doubt here. Since Sting and Samoa Joe beat the two Jeff's (Jarrett and Hardy) and knew they were going to represent Smackdown at The Bash, they were on a roll and Shark Boy and William Regal had no answer for them. So much so, that they both decided to call their UWF careers a day. So now, the newly crowned tag team champions have challenged all comers. But this week it;s the Stinger looking to avenge a loss from weeks ago as he takes on Bray Wyatt. Samoa Joe has a week off but you can expect to see him at Stings side, supporting his partner and fellow champion.

5. Lubaninho
RVDEuor.jpg

Self explanatory really. Two victories in a week. One to claim the European Championship. And one against three men to retain the gold. Rob Van Dam has been on a hell of a roll recently and that claims him the number five spot on this weeks super 8. He has been given the week off after his hectic week, but RVD and Fonzie will be in the arena on Thursday night, to talk to the fans. Some people just never stop working hey?

4. rawisrey
DamienSandow.jpg

Allow me to beg your indulgence for one moment. There is a superstar named Damien Sandow and he is among the best, of all of you. After putting away a man that he would only describe as an ignoramus in Edge, Damien along with his associate Daniel are both celebrating high profile victories. And with both having the week off on Smackdown this week, their only job is to bask in their own glory, and plan their next steps to domination in the UWF.

3. The Hoov
DanielBryan.jpg

Y.E.S' success did not finish on Damien Sandow. Oh No. Smackdown is now without a general manager, and why? Because he was decimated at The Great American Bash by Daniel Bryan. Desmond Wolfe was no match for "Yes Lock" specialist and has deemed himself as out indefinitely. Bryan and Sandow have big plans, and they will let the world know what they are when Smackdown opens this week. But to be third on the super 8 list for Smackdown must make Daniel Bryan shout.... Yes! Yes! Yes!

2. Andrew
Batista.jpg

If it wasn't for a giant sticking his nose in what people thought wasn't his business, chances are Batista would be world champion right now. The Animal totally dominate most of the King of the Mountain match and had an amazing showing that was only dwarfed by The Big Show turning up and obeying DiBiases orders. I guess everything does "Come from Money". But Batista will be looking to make a statement and a claim on the World title again, when he looks to put away the former World Champion Dean Ambrose in the main event on Smackdown.

1. Prodigy
TedDiBiaseWorld.jpg

Give the man credit when it's due, Ted DiBiase Jr. is now, a two time World Heavyweight champion. the way he done it is questionable, but then again, so is the way he lost his first championship. His message all along when talking about the King of the Mountain was that he wasn't a fluke, and he would proved it, hanging the belt on the hook and becoming the man on Smackdown. With The Big Show in his corner, does Zack Ryder even have a chance when he faces him on Smackdown next week? Who knows. All I know is that Ted DiBiase is the main man this week here on Super 8.

And that concludes Smackdown's side of things. Both World title holders standing tall atop their respective brands lists. The men from the king of the Mountain match not mentioned will be looking to work their way back up, and the men that were mentioned will indeed have a job on their hands looking to stay on the list. Zack Ryder has beaten DiBiase before and a victory for him will definitely get him some respect! With a Smackdown on the way sure not to disappoint, we could see our first Super 8 leader without a championship as Batista looks to beat Dean Ambrose in a steel cage.

That's all from me for now. I got some work to do to try and get my own bloody characters on my own bloody lists! Leave your comments below, positive or negative. Chow.

Very good Lewb. I enjoyed reading this.

Some picks were obvious, but that doesn't change the fact that this was a great debut

That was an awesome read man. Surprised and honored to be placed at #2 there.

I'm glad people are seeing potential in my Batista, it's not easy taking on Ambrose that's for sure but we will see.
