The Dresden Dose: Next Stop, Vengeance!

My fellow Smarks, it is that time again. Well technically it was that time three days ago but anyway, it is time for UWF's weekly check-up. In this edition the Match of the Week and Promo of the Week awards return as I take an in-depth look at the most recent NXT, Raw, and Smackdown shows and see which of them is the recipient of these awards and which came up short. There will also be an interview as "Mr. UWF" himself, Cwalker, returns to the column, proving that you never know who's going to show up. Also, due to my recent accomplishment, I have decided to gather the thoughts of my peers and find out their individual opinion on the past four months with Stone Cold as the UWF Champion. Now, without any further delay, let's get things underway. I'm not a doctor but I play one on the internet and this is my prescription for all your wrestling needs, The Dresden Dose!

Due to the impending pay-per-view, Smackdown had no September 21st edition in order to allow the members of its roster to focus solely on their Vengeance matches rather than having to focus on that and a Smackdown match. It also gives the writers a bit of a break as well as more time to write their pay-per-view matches. Therefore, their last show was on the 14th, which puts it before the NXT and Raw shows I will be reviewing, so Smackdown goes first.

In the opening match, Big Show and Triple H did battle to crown the number one contender to the Television Championship. After the "Cerebral Assassin" controlled much of the match, it seemed the Big Show wasn't long for this world, but the massive 500-pounder was too determined to let an opportunity like this slip and clobbered the "Game" out of nowhere with his patented WMD knockout punch.

Dean Ambrose appears via a live feed, informing the Smackdown viewers that he has been suspended by General Manager Desmond Wolfe without pay. Dean expresses no regret in regards to what he did to Big Show that got him suspended, as he felt Big Show deserved it. Ambrose goes on to say that he is karma incarnate and everyone will get what's coming to them, especially Joe and Batista, who he can't wait to get his hands on.

All the referees are seen in the same location, brought there by a love letter as they all wonder who the writer of that letter was. It's revealed to be Rey Mysterio, who lured them all there to interrogate them and see who DiBiase has been paying off to help him win his matches. It is revealed through searching that all of the referees are clean except for Nick Patrick, who gets relieved of his duties as a Smackdown referee and is suspended indefinitely. Mysterio warns Ted that justice will prevail.

In the second match of the night, the "Animal" Batista was granted a shot at Damien Sandow's Television Championship due to the title's stipulation that it will be defended every week. Batista was in control of this match in his usual dominant fashion, only surrendering his position in the driver's seat when Dean Ambrose sitting in the front row of the crowd proved to be too much of a distraction several times throughout the match. As Batista is approaching victory and has his opponent circling the drain, out comes Samoa Joe, providing enough of a distraction for Sandow to roll the "Animal" up and retain his Television Championship.

Rob Van Dam is interviewed by Josh Mathews. He tells Josh that he can't wait to see Rey beat up DiBiase and that he deserves to be in the World Heavyweight Championship match, expressing how proud he is of his partner and lets Josh know that he has Rey's back if Y.E.S. or someone else gets involved in Mysterio's singles match against Ted. He reveals their Vengeance strategy is to take out DiBiase and Cena first and compete amongst themselves to see who is crowned World Heavyweight Champion. He announces the Justice League's intentions to become the Tag Team Champions, then tells Josh it's time for Rey's match.

In match number three of the show, DiBiase actually has some competition this week in the form of Friday nights' resident superhero, Rey Mysterio. Continuing the trend started last match, DiBiase and Mysterio's opponents, RVD and Cena, come out while the match is being contested and remain ringside, mainly to prevent foul play on the part of DiBiase and Big Show. As things get physical on the outside of the ring between Show and Rey's tag team partner, Van Dam, Mysterio is willed into countering Dream Street in a way only he can and hitting his opponent with the 619.

Sandow is seen backstage standing in front of a camera. Damien boasts about being the first man to be both the Television Champion and half of the UWF Tag Team Champions. He says that his possession of two belts is proof that the four men he had to beat to get those belts are unworthy challengers. He talks about defending his Television Championship at Vengeance, and says that the result of that event will be the same as the result of Summerslam and the Great American Bash, a victory for Y.E.S.

Edge is seen backstage being interviewed by Todd Grisham. He confirms the temporary hiatus of Rated EXtreme, noting that Jeff Hardy has personal issues he's currently sorting out. Edge affirms that although the tag team is on hiatus, he himself will forge on and get to the top of UWF, making this the "Era of Edge" and becoming the face of Smackdown.

In the fourth match of the evening, another third of Y.E.S. is in action as Daniel Bryan takes on Alberto Del Rio. This one is the most competitive and hotly contested of the night as both men continue to trade off control for much of the match. As Alberto applies the Cross Armbreaker, Bray Wyatt looks to interfere in the match, causing Jarrett to interfere as well. However, Jeff is the only one that gets caught, and while the referee is distracted with him, Bray Wyatt enters the ring and connects with his signature senton on Del Rio, allowing Bryan to get the pinfall victory.

And in the maaaaaiiiiiiin event, "Mr. Money in the Bank" Bray Wyatt takes on one half of "Rated EXtreme" Edge. At first it looks like Wyatt is going to dominate the match by taking advantage of the size difference, much like Big Show did earlier, but Edge being the opportunist he is finds a way around it and puts himself in the driver's seat early on. Edge remains in control but Bray shows he's just as cunning as an unexpected powerslam almost ends things. Edge looks to take control back and does but after an attempted attack is reversed into a Samoan Drop, the match is almost over again. The match continues with men trading off control, and ends much like the Television Championship match did as Edge rolls up Wyatt with an inside cradle and steals the victory.

It was a tough choice, but the match I found the most entertaining to read was Daniel Bryan versus Alberto Del Rio. The finish wasn't achieved in a clean manner, but that's to be expected from the heel Bryan. The promo was an easier choice. I thought the Mysterio promo was the most entertaining to read as it was very creative as well as funny.​

Sting opens the show, asking if the absence of light and sound makes the audience uncomfortable, then states he doesn't care if it does, stating things will remain that way as long as he's in control. He points out that he knows they're afraid of him, and says he knows they doubt that this is real but points out that they know their doubt is fake, and there's nothing they can do but watch as things play out and boo when they're able. He points out the old Sting is dead and that NXT has no one that can save them from the new Sting.

R-Truth comes out after Sting and says that it doesn't matter who becomes number one contender to the NXTreme Championship, because they're going to lose at Vengeance.

In the opening match of the night, Sting and Sheamus face off to determine who's going to challenge R-Truth for the NXTreme Championship at Vengeance. Sheamus looks to end things with the Brogue Kick first thing, but Sting dodges it and is in control of the match from there onward until Sheamus later lands a shoulder to Sting's midsection and follows it up with a kick to the side of the head, scoring the first near-fall of the contest. Sheamus remains in control of the match, getting two more near-falls before Sting dodges a Brogue Kick and connects with the Scorpion Death Drop, securing the win and the contendership.

Johnny Curtis is seen backstage trying to flirt with Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn blows him off and Maxine walks in, telling Johnny he needs to convince Derrick to cheat to win tonight, basically, offering to let Johnny by her a drink if he gets through to Bateman.

Jonathan Coachman is seen standing in the ring. Coach points out that Rhino still hasn't been booked, and theorizes that has been done out of fear. He says Rhino is angry and will do harm to whoever he faces, and will sue JBL if Rhino doesn't get booked soon. He lists possible reasons why he hasn't been booked, further praises his client, then gives the floor to his client. Basically Rhino tells JBL that he and Coach will continue to come out and disrupt the show until he gets booked. I think this would've been a good place for a squash match, kind of like when Bray Wyatt debuted on Smackdown. Also, if you want an opponent, Sting would be more than willing.

In the second match of the night, Zack Ryder makes his NXT debut against Derrick Bateman. Bateman starts things off with a dropkick, but as he looks to follow it up Ryder counters with a spinning sit-out powerbomb. Ryder looks for a cover but Derrick kicks out so Zack connects with a hangman's neckbreaker and goes for another pin, but Derrick kicks out again. Ryder looks to remain in control but Bateman takes over the momentum with a corner dropkick and a later leg drop that gives him his first near-fall. After another near-fall on Bateman, Derrick turns things around again and looks to win the match, but the referee is out of commission. Johnny Curtis tries to get involved later on but Bateman disapproves. The finish comes when Zack connects with the Rough Ryder.

Michael McGillicutty appears on the titantron and introduces himself, explaining the family he comes from and points out that, while proud to be a Hennig, it has kept him from being successful and that's why he goes by the name Michael McGillicutty. He basically points out that he'll be a heel and informs everyone he's going to the top and winning the NXT Championship.

Daffney is seen backstage as an unidentified reporter calls out to her. Abyss sets the reporter on fire and heads out to the ring. He talks about anger itself as well as his own anger, and claims his mission isn't to win titles and matches, but to show the people the truth about the world they live in. Daffney tells him she does care about winning and that only when he's a champion will he earn their attention. She warns that neither of them can be denied.

In the semi-main event, the "IT Factor" Robert Roode goes head-to-head with the "People's Champion" The Rock in a match that created a bit of controversy with its finish. Things start off with Robert slapping The Rock, prompting Rock to respond with a series of right hands, knocking Roode out of the ring. Roode slams Rock into the steel steps and assumes control, even scoring a near-fall once things return to the ring, but when they return to the outside a suplex puts Rock back in the driver's seat. The two trade offensive maneuvers as Rock later gets a near-fall of his own, and the finish comes when a Rock Bottom is countered and the Brahma Bull is whipped into the exposed turnbuckle and beaten with a Schoolboy Pin. A lot of roll-up finishes this week.

Orton is seen backstage being interviewed by Josh Mathews. He talks about his arm injury and boasts that he will beat Lesnar tonight, and punt kick Roode at Vengeance.

And in the maiiiin event, the NXT World Champion Randy Orton takes on Brock Lesnar. In the early going, it looks like Brock is going to dominate the entire match, but the one-armed champ is too resilient to let that happen as he fights away with a series of punches and an uppercut, taking down the former UFC Champion with a dropkick. Lesnar kicks out of the pin attempt and absolutely brutalizes Orton, attempting a Kimura Lock on his broken arm. Orton tries to prevent it so Brock slams his arm against the mat. Randy manages to fight back, goes for a Punt Kick, but gets clotheslined into next week as Brock removes his cast. However, he makes the mistake of posing with it instead of following up and the champ beats him with a roll-up.

I didn't find this choice to be a difficult one to make. I enjoyed the opening match as it made the new Sting look very impressive in his first match, but it'd be egotistical to pick that one as my favorite. I enjoyed the main event far more, this vulnerable beat up Orton is something you never see, and Brock is as brutal and unforgiving as he's meant to be, I loved this match.

And the promos, I enjoy writing Sting promos lately, but comparing it to the others, I can't say that I enjoyed mine more than theirs. Some of them, but not all of them. I look forward to seeing what McGillicutty and Rhino can do on NXT, but my favorite promo was the Abyss one. The picture he painted with his words regarding anger was morbidly poetic. Setting a guy on fire was a bit too Kane-esque, but it was necessary to the promo.​

In the opening match of the night, the innovator of the Dirt Sheet(check it out) John Morrison looks to continue his winning streak as he takes on the Hardcore Champion Curt Hawkins. Thanks to a dropkick, Curt gets a near-fall early on, but after the kick-out Hawkins goes to the dropkick well again but botches it as Morrison gets a near-fall of his own. Following an enziguiri, Morrison scores another near-fall, then another with a cross-body. The fast pace continues throughout the match and the finish comes when Morrison hits Hawkins with a second rope assisted Moonlight Drive, sick.

Vince McMahon is seen backstage talking to John Laurinaitis, who is lobbying to be the Raw General Manager. However, Vince informs him the spot has already been filled.

The second match of the show pits two Attitude Era stars against each other as Mankind takes on Goldust. After a slugfest to start, Goldust takes control and gets a near-fall following a Banzai Drop. Mankind fights back though and scores his own near-fall with a standing piledriver. The momentum continues to shift back and forth between them as Mankind has the Mandible Claw reversed into a belly-to-back suplex. After kicking out of the pin attempt following this, the finish comes later as Mankind puts the "Golden One" away with the Double Armed DDT.

Vince is seen backstage again as he announces James Storm versus Curt Hawkins for the Hardcore Championship, Kurt Angle versus Shawn Michaels, and Y.E.S. versus the team of Mankind and Goldust for the Tag Team Championships to happen on next week's SuperShow, Clash of the Champions
And the maiiiiiiin event pits the "Olympic Gold Medalist" Kurt Angle against the "Tennessee Cowboy" James Storm. In the early going, James is in control as he goes for a pin attempt, allowing Kurt to take over after kicking out and scoring a pin attempt of his own. Angle looks to finish James off with a Rear Naked Choke and almost does so until James fights to life and turns the situation into a pin attempt. Storm goes for a Last Call but Kurt avoids it and connects with a series of German suplexes. Storm puts a stop to the third and hits a dropkick, getting another pin attempt. James hits the "Eye of the Storm" and goes for the Last Call again but Kurt dodges, connecting with the third German and finishes things with an Angle Slam.

Daniels appears backstage and speaks of his recent run of luck, claiming that he has no one but himself to blame for his losses. He says he came close to giving up, but instead has chosen to go on a journey to find himself. He points out how he lost his focus and reveals that the purpose of this journey is so that he can reassess his goals. Daniels says a camera crew will be following him on this journey, and that when he returns, he will be a new and better man.

Closing the show is the Highlight Reyl. Jericho welcomes everyone to the Reel and talks a bit of smack before introducing his first guest, Cody Rhodes. Jericho and Rhodes go back and forth about why they want to be the UWF Champion and why they will be. Stone Cold joins them and points out that they've both lost and therefore don't deserve another shot, and that he wants new competition. As Austin turns to leave, things get physical as all three men begin fighting. Vince comes out and makes Austin versus Rhodes versus Jericho for the UWF Championship next week.
I enjoyed all three of these matches, but my favorite of the three has to be the main event. The best of both men's arsenals were showcased and they proved to be a compatible match for one another.

As for the promo side, The Highlight Reyl was fun but I feel like more could've been done with it, plus I had a hand in it. I liked the Daniels promo the most because this quest to redeem himself intrigues me, it's similar to the character change I'm going through with Sting on NXT. I'm a big fan of Daniels and really want to see him succeed, the passion I saw in this promo has me believing that RRS could be a big time player on Raw if he gets his internet issues sorted out.​

Now for the moment of truth. Which match holds the distinction of being the best one of the week, which promo bears this same honor? Well let's start with the match. In terms of competition, James Storm versus Kurt Angle is the only one of the three in which one of the wrestlers didn't, in some way, have the deck stacked against them. Randy Orton went into his match injured, making it easier for Brock Lesnar to play the vulture and Daniel Bryan had Bray Wyatt watching his back, even securing the victory for him.

In terms of captivation, all three of them were exciting to read for their own reasons. Bryan versus Del Rio was a battle of submission specialists as well as men that are known for their hard-hitting style, both of which was captured well as they traded offense. Lesnar versus Orton was a showcase of Brock's raw power and frightening willingness to take advantage of it, so while the reader is left almost salivating at the thought of Lesnar picking the Viper apart in this fashion, you also find yourself cheering for Orton, who, despite his obvious disability, refuses to give up. Angle versus Storm was a match-up of two different styles but it was also a meeting of determined and fiercely competitive men, with Kurt showing off why many call him the greatest wrestler ever and James showing that he can keep up despite his expertise not being in the same areas.

What works against the Daniel Bryan versus Alberto Del Rio match is the finish. For fans of Y.E.S., this was great, as it makes you further appreciate the power of the tandem. But for those that want to see this group get what's coming to them, this will only fuel that desire more. I belong to the group that what's to see this group gets what's coming to them, and I'm sure that soon they will, be it at the hands of Edge and Jeff Hardy or someone else, it's coming and I can't wait.

That leaves me with the remaining two. While Lesnar versus Orton was highly entertaining, as I pointed out earlier, Angle versus Storm was a match that had neither man injured and no one interfering, it was just a straight-up competitive wrestling contest. Therefore, I am awarding it the Match of the Week. Congratulations to Millenium and Chriss for your trash talking session, and to Cwalker for writing such a great match.

As for the promo, well there's obviously less criteria for comparison. The Rey Mysterio promo and Abyss promo were both true to their characters, while the Daniels promo was for character development. We aren't quite sure what's next for Daniels and Abyss, and while that air of mystery makes them characters to watch, there are some that require substance instead of simple words. Mysterio found out who DiBiase was paying off and had them removed from power, then went on to defeat Ted as he said he would do. Therefore, I am awarding it the Promo of the Week. Congratulations to Chase for writing such an entertaining promo.​

First and foremost, what's it like being the first recurring guest? What is it that made you feel, "I've got to be on the Dose again"?

It's nice to be back. I decided to come back because I'm assuming you lost your schedule, so I figured; why not? You ask good questions and there's some things that we could have touched on that I don't think we did last time.

Recently you let off your frustrations in the form of a shoot promo, is this something you were planning for a little while or did your breaking point just happen to coincide with a Tuesday evening?

I came up with the idea right after Summerslam. I wanted to get Teddy Long off screen as GM and I had some frustrations that I wanted to vent, why not knock out two birds with one stone.

I personally saw no issue with it, it was the owner relieving stress and frankly, most of what you dished out needed to be said. What was the behind the scenes reaction to it, were people blowing up your inbox about it?

Behind the scenes? One of my writers quit on me; temporarily. I was told that he didn't respect me, but he came back like a week later. Personally, I wasn't worried about how it was going to be recieved. I just needed to vent. Ironically, most people said they liked it. So that's a plus. I could've done a lot worse.

I want to thank you for standing by me and making this recent milestone possible. From a bookers' standpoint, would you say I've had more support as champion or you've had to go to bat for me a lot?

Both. There have been certain situations where guys have called you "cocky" ever since you became Champion. There was a time at the beginning of the summer where I almost took the belt off you twice in a three week span, so it hasn't been an easy road as Champion for you.

I'll admit this run is what finally made me feel like a top guy. Back in UCW when I had so many strong opponents that I couldn't unseat, I wasn't sure if I'd ever break through the glass ceiling. Would you say this UWF run has been a breakout moment for Chris Dresden?

I would say so. No offense to the Impact brand of UCW, but I consider this your first real run as World Champion. And if you look at the list of guys that you've beaten, it's pretty impressive.

Last time I asked you that if you could pick someone from Smackdown to bring to Raw, who would it be and why. Is your answer still Daniel Bryan or has it changed?

No. Daniel Bryan has been surpassed. And it was Lewb's Jeff Hardy that surpassed him. The "Who is Jeff Hardy" storyline was the best storyline in UWF and it's a shame that it has to be put on hold right now, but real life comes first. I'm one of the guys who thought Lewb should have won Money in The Bank, not only because I thought he was the best in that match, but also because you could have done so many things with the briefcase in that storyline.

Recently Derrick returned to UWF, only to blow his probation and be out the door quicker than his first run as Edge. What are your thoughts on that whole situation?

He was given a second chance because of pity. Nobody cared about Derrick until he created that thread. It took a lot of deliberation but I gave him another chance. He blew it. There won't be a third.

Tuesday Night Raw is now home to The Rock, played by Itchweed, how does it feel to acquire that big of a pick-up and how did it come about?

Itch felt like he got screwed. Trust me, I've been there, it sucks. I know he doesn't like certain guys on my staff, he's made that very clear. But as far as I know, he's got no issue with me. So I brought him to a brand where nothing is personal. He won't had to wonder if someone is screwing with him. It's an attempt to ease tension.

You'll be appearing on the highly popular, "Chillin' with Chase" podcast in a few weeks, what subject are you most eager to discuss and why?

Wow, idk. Chase and I go way back. He was the first guy I interacted with in an efed, so there's tons of history. If there was one thing I'd want to discuss; it'd be why he and I never got a chance to feud. I honestly don't think we've had a one on one match before.

Who has been your favorite "Chillin' with Chase" guest thus far and why?

Rey. He's so chill, it's reydiculous. He's very down to earth. And funny too. Second would probably be Itchweed. He had me dying with some of the things he had to say. Third would probably be SBS. Very insightful guy with tons of experience.

Out of all of the upcoming "Chillin' with Chase" guests, who are you most looking forward to hearing from and why?

Probably AK. Like SBS, he's got so much experience, I'm sure he can talk for hours and it'll be cool to hear his opinion on certain topics.

What are your thoughts on my new Sting over on NXT?

A change was needed without a shadow of a doubt. I wasn't a fan of "Joker" Sting or him teaming with Joe. It'll be nice to see how the character evolves over the coming weeks, but so far I have no complaints.

We all know that Raw is in for a general manager change next week, what is the likelihood that the person stepping into the role is, shall we say, pimpin'?

It'd be interesting, that's for sure. I'd be lying if I said that I hadn't given it some thought. Only thing I can say is check out the Clash next week and see who is the real GM is.

You recently showed your disdain in regards to pay-per-view matches being the only ones nominated for the "Match of the Month". If you were to choose a non pay-per-view match to be given that award, which one would it be and why?

Jericho versus Austin for the title was a great match in my opinion and I don't say that because I wrote it. On the 9/14 Smackdown, Rawisrey wrote Daniel Bryan versus Del Rio, which I thought was brilliant. And on the 9/7 Smackdown, SBS wrote Samoa Joe versus John Cena which was extremely entertaining. Granted all those matches are from September, but they were all better than the winner for August; which looks like its going to be an average Money in The Bank Match. My whole point is that you have 10-12 people nominating the same match over and over because it was a PPV main event. It's like a slap in the face to the 40 other matches that get written throughout the course of a month.

Can we expect to see your "Outside the Ropes" article return anytime soon?

Very doubtful. I'm in college, I work, I write. It's one of those situations where there's just not enough time in the day. So something had to go. I'd rather Outside The Ropes disappear as opposed to my match quality suffering, so I let it fade away.

If Pope is the new G.M., if it made sense, could we see Raw's version of Desmond Wolfe vs. Daniel Bryan?

I've said it numerous times, I have no desire to trash talk. I think there's your answer.

If you could bring someone over from NXT to Raw, who would it be and why?

It would probably be Bumxout's Bateman/Curtis. They make me laugh. It's nice to have some entertainment on your show, plus I think Bumxout can go far with them if the story is right.

What e-fed dream match not involving yourself would you most like to see, why, and who would you want to write it and why?

This Triple Threat between Slim, Jay and Itch has garnered a lot of talk lately. And truth be told, I wouldn't mind seeing it. For me, each guy would have to play their character though. Slim would have to be Rock, Jay would have to be Edge, Itch would have to be Punk. As far as who'd I want to write it? For nostalgia's sake, I'd say LK. He's one of the best efed writers I've seen and he's got history with all three guys.

What is your e-fed dream match involving yourself?

It happened already. Dinero/Rock. I was actually looki over this trash talk session today. It's still really good in my eyes. Sucks that we didn't get a match out of it, but who knows, maybe one day I'll sit down and write it. With Dinero winning of course.

Lately a lot of veterans have been returning. If you could pick one vet to return who would it be, why, as what character, on what brand, and feuding with who?

It'd have to be either Vita or OJR. And if they came back, they'd be on my rand without question. As far as to who'd they feud with. What would you like to see happen next as it pertains to the Pokemon area of this column?

Hmm..idk I'm not the biggest fan of the Pokemon stuff.I know the basics. I dig it, it's cool, but to be 100% honest with you, I generally skim over it.

Clash of the Champions is the Raw SuperShow to make up for the fact that Vengeance is Smackdown and NXT only. What will the first Raw and NXT only pay-per-view be?

In your opinion, is there anything the Dose is lacking?

Lacking? Idk. You'll get a little more insight with my answer to your next question though.

Is there anything the Dose needs to do away with or revise?

As I mentioned, I'm not the biggest fan of the Pokemon stuff. I liked the Dose a little bit better when it was more review based. Not to say get rid of it entirely, but tone it down. I feel like your last Dose was 65% Pokemon and 35% everything else. I wouldn't mind seeing it the other way around.

In your own words, what has it been like to watch Stone Cold as UWF Champion these past four months?

Cwalker: Hard as hell to not write the same match over and over. Writing for Austin has been difficult because he's so limited in the ring. But watching him has been entertaining. I was glad you turned face again, made things a lot easier to book. Like I said earlier, there were a few instances where I almost took the belt off you, but for the most part, it's works out.

Lewb: Stobe Cold, in my eyes has been a refreshing champion to see at the helm of UWF. In real-life we have seen Bobby Roode, CM Punk and Sheamus all change the buck of short term champions and reign with lengthy terms. And in the UWF we are seeing the same not by copying of shows, but of actual quality. In a fed that at the moment, has problems with members arguing over wins and losses, one thing that is Undisputed is that Stone Cold has earned each of his title defenses, by the trash talks, and by the promos in which are ever present. A heel to face turn in the midst of it has kept him refreshing to watch and a real highlight of the short history of UWF. From a man that was ever present in the title picture when Dres first picked up the gold, and an ever present of Dresdens Stone Cold character, I can say that on a whole it is one of the strongest ever seen, and right at the very top is absolutely where he belongs..... And now I'm not on Raw, long may it continue

Aniking: I think it's been great, and frankly a title reign that has been deserved for some time. I've always thought that your Austin deserved more than it got back in UCW, so to see you finally given a World Championship reign of this kind of stature is great. Granted you were TNA World Heavyweight Champion three times in UCW, but you definitely should've been World Heavyweight Champion at some point, a title considered a notch above. Your Austin has always been a machine, but only now are you finally being rewarded... although, you should be thankful for every single day of your title reign ever since The Great American Bash. I don't think I need to explain what I mean by that, but just know that when Raw becomes "charismatic" once again, there will be no more luck for Austin

But no on a serious note its been a dominating performance from a true legend of Fe industry. Stone Cold Steve Austin has continued night in and night out proving to the world that he is the baddest SOB on the planet

CaptainxBumout: It's been pretty great to watch you hold on to that championship for the past four months. Compared to your reign, mine seems like a failure lol. One of my favorite things you've done is when you ran down the entire RAW roster. It's safe to assume I've learned a lot on how a champion should carry their brand on their shoulders. Austin cuts lengthy promos on every show and always makes sure he's the major focal point as a champion should be.

Rated R Superstar: It's been a heck of a ride for me. It's always impressive to see someone last as a Champion for so long with any e-fed, and the fact that you've last this long is remarkable. But don't take offence to that. Stone Cold is one of my favourite characters to watch in UWF. Each week is something of a different story with you, depending on who you have a program with. Your current program with Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho is by far turning into my favourite program on Raw. I hope to one day face Stone Cold with my Daniels for the title. That would be epic!

Doink: Stone Cold has been brilliant and thoroughly deserves to be champion. His promos are great as are the TT's and he is very consistent. He has defended his title against some tough competitors and turned in some great performances.

Andrew: It has been amazing to read the Trash Talks, the feuds and still see Stone Cold walk out as Champion at the end of the day. With you having surpassed Itchweed's record, it's proven, are you unstoppable? Can you now go on and surpass Slim's and Jay Lesnar's record? So many questions but the answers shall be seen soon. It's a journey you're on there Chris Dredson, it's a never-ending adventure until you reach a dead end but take the journey and enjoy the ride because I honestly believe you could possibly pass Slim's record and possibly Jay's as well.

Slim: Its been quite an experience. An inspiration and a motivation. Makes me wanna try to win the belt and see if I can hold the belt for as long as that. But its historic. Its just a good thing to see. Hoping that the reign can continue on. Tat way I can challenge and see if I'm good enough to stop the epic reign. But yeah... definitely a reign to remember. A real measuring stick. The bar has been set extremely high

Blizzard: It's been fantastic. I've always enjoyed your Austin as he is one of my favorite e-fed characters being played right now. I always compliment you on your Austin, and recently I've complimented you on that heel run which was a phenomenal read. Congratulations on becoming the longest reigning champion Dres, you deserve it bro!

The Hoov: It's been an amazing run, man. I mean, your Stone Cold is great and is finally getting the credit it deserves. Back in the UCW, the highest you got was TNA World Champ I believe so to see you on top as Austin and for so long is great. Plus, being a huge Austin mark, seeing him as champion in any form is great to me

EoR: Interesting to say the least but more importantly, it's great to see someone earn the longest reigning UWF Champion, Austin has battled against a lot of challengers and has had some conversal finishes but it all adds to the drama but for me personally, I think his days maybe number as the IWC favourite son, Cody Rhodes may steal that title at Clash of the Champions.

Tapout: Stone Cold is pretty legendary. He has a "Big Match" feel to him which I think it hard to get in E-Feds. When you see your characters name next to Stone Cold on a card, you know you have to bring your A-Game. It also means that you've got to the top. I think Dredson as Stone Cold is what UWF needed. A very strong champion at the top of the show. But of course, with every great champion, comes a great title transition. And as much as I enjoyed seeing Stone Cold AS champion, I think it's going to be great as well to see Stone Cold chasing the championship.

SBS: While the reign of Stone Cold is not as lengthy as say Jay's or Vita's legandary reigns in UCW, the Texas Rattlesnake imo can be considered with those guys. The way Austin won the belt was classic Rattlesnake. Thanks to Aries' cash in Austin found himself thrown into a title match that had Austin's long time rival Chris Jericho involved. Austin would go on to win and while it was impressive I'm not going to lie I had my doubts about Austin being able to retain it for long. First up was former Champion Barrett. Barrett was looking to get back the gold but Austin proved his victory was no mere fluke and defeated him at Starrcade. Then came Christian I believe, and boy I thought it was that for Austin. But thanks to a controversial call Austin retained. It was at Summerslam when he sucessfully defended the World Title in an elimination chamber that Austin for me became the real deal. Austin has beaten everyone on the roster. I also think he hasn't had an easy time getting to the record either as he had to defend the belt three times in the past month. Regardless of what happens at Clash, I can honestly say its been a pleasure to wat... well read Austin's title reign as it has been a corner stone of not only Raw, but UWF after the Mania disaster. I don't ever doubt the Rattlesnake now and am really looking forward to more from him down the road. Weather champion or not, whoever does beat him is going to have big boots to fill.

rawisrey: Damien Sandow: Absolutely deplorable, for a man like Mr. Steven Austin to represent the raw brand let alone our company as champion is the greatest example of how far our society has fallen down through the doldrums of ignorance. As a common white trash redneck not only holds the epitome of prestige in our company, but holds it longer than anyone else. It is astonishing to me that I was even able to arrive in UWF in time to save it, which may be why I am having a difficult time raising up the dead weight known as the peoples intelligence. Mr. Austin is a bad example, and the longer he's champion the longer the greater masses go on through life in darkness from the cloud of ignorance waiting for the beam of enlightenment to shine upon them.

Cody Rhodes: Stone Cold...He's done nothing but carry around a meaningless piece of leather for four months. Just because of who he is he got the opportunity, and yet the man he has been unable to defeat is just now getting a shot. He is a meaningless champion who has only lasted this long because it lasted this long for the people in charge to finally take notice of what I'm capable of and give me my championship shot, I am the true UWF Champion only thing I need is the belt itself. Austin just so happens to carry it, which by default makes him blip on my radar, but once I've broken him down to a shell of his former self and shown him just how...Unstable I can get...he just like all of you will realize that I am not only the sanest one here...but in that moment you will see that I am your UWF Champion....Cody Rhodes 6:25

considering I've been apart of that reign throughout it I'll say it has been a great experience watching Austin run through challengers, whether he was heel or face, facing Christian, nWo, or elimination chambers it's all been a showing of how well Austin can adapt as far as how you play him. And while there were some close calls, Austin just seems to survive and can believably do so which is a testament to you for being able to hold it for four months without it getting stale, without people getting sick of it, and with it continuing to be entertaining throughout. Congrats on the reygn bud.
