- WWE has been working on concepts for Sting t-shirts pushing the theme of calling him “A Man Called Stingâ€￾ since WCW trademarked the phrase and WWE owns the intellectual property rights to it. A memo came in to WWE’s merchandise department last week to start working on the ideas for Sting.

Regarding Sting signing a deal, as of Monday the word is that he has not signed but is very close. Another source noted that internally, the idea of Sting coming in has not been talked about as a high priority issue compared to deals to get names like Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, Batista or The Rock.

This is going to be awesome if it goes through. I was never really a big WCW guy but I always have enjoyed watching Sting.

maybe Warrior finally going back was enough for Sting to get over his issues with the E

it would be pretty fitting they both go into the HoF the same year

Sting and Warrior in the HoF at the same time? OMG has hell froze over? In regards to the Sting deal, I will believe it when I see it.

For whatever it's worth, the belief among a lot of TNA talents is that we've seen the last of Sting in the promotion.

Finally he realizes it's a sinking ship

Never been a big fan of Sting, not that bothered about him coming to WWE if it happens.

Watch Sting have them make dozens of shirts and then not sign so they're worthless.

- The latest on Sting is that he still has not signed but the general feeling is that it's a foregone conclusion that he's coming in. While he's not expected to be rushed into a match at WrestleMania XXX, word is that the working idea right now is for Sting to possibly be the new RAW General Manager.

That'll certainly change the game

I'll still need to see him on WWE TV before I believe it.

Sting as RAW GM would be super. Maddox has been ok, but not great.

Right now GM would probably be the best way to go but it could also just feel like a waste if it were to happen. Suit Sting is much better than t-shirt Sting though.

- We’ve noted from multiple sources that WWE officials do not see signing Sting as a priority. While this is true, they do want him as a part of the company as they realize that Sting is sort of the last piece to WWE’s WCW puzzle. They also realize that there is lots of money to be made with Sting through t-shirts, action figures and other merchandise.

The latest word is that Sting may pop up at WrestleMania XXX, but not wrestle, and then wrestle 1 or 2 matches before being used as a special attraction. With WrestleMania 31 being held in California next year and Sting being a California guy, there’s potential for him to be a cornerstone for next year’s Hall of Fame class.
