Orton and DiBiase made for a rather slow paced match that seemed to pick up as the match went on. Randy dominated the early goings and even went for a rope hung DDT early in the match, but DiBiase seemed to read his former mentor like a book, and he managed to slide out of the ring. Ted then pulled Orton down onto the ropes and began to take control of the match, surprisingly getting a good few offensive maneuvers out on his former leader. He even managed to lock in the Million$ Dream at one point, only for Orton to escape and nail a inverted headlock backbreaker. Orton would then dominate for a while until DiBiase made a face comeback and locked in the Million$ Dream once again, and this time Orton didn't escape. Hell In A Cell
Batista vs. The Undertaker
The cell was lowered and Batista and Undertaker started battling in the match for the ages. This was a rematch from Wrestlemania 23 but the Cell made it a whole new game. Batista took it to Taker in the early stages, showing that he was not intimidated. He used the Cell as a weapon, smashing Taker's face into it a few times. However, when Batista went for the Batista Bomb, it proved to be too early, as Taker reversed and caught him with an uppercut, before hitting the snake eyes/big boot combination. Batista would then roll out of the ring and go to the outside, where he would kick the Cell door open and go to the outside. Taker followed him but Batista smashed the door into his face and knocked him down. Meanwhile, Batista found a chair on the outside and went to attack Taker with it, smashing the steel onto his skull. Batista dragged Taker over to the announce tables where he put him on top and lifted him up, going for a Spinebuster, only for Taker to reverse into a DDT! With the table still intact and Batista laying on top of it incapacitated, Taker began to climb the cell and when he got to the top, he faced Batista and the crowd couldn't believe that Taker was about to jump off. However, before he could, a man ran out from the crowd and to the outside. Taker began to climb down the cell but as soon as he reached the floor, the man knocked him out with a steel chair shot to the head! We get a closer look and it is TNA's AJ STYLES! The crowd is booing as Styles pulls Batista off the announce table and puts Taker on there instead. He then climbs back up to the top of the cell and jumps down on Taker with the Spiral Tap! A recovered Batista goes for the cover but Styles breaks it up by cracking Batista with a steel chair shot. He beats down the Animal with the chair and the crowd is confused about whos side AJ is on. Early in the match, Vince takes out Bret with a low blow and he and Cena work over HBK, who puts up a fight but soon succumbs to the numbers game. The opening stages of the match are all about RVD, who manages to utilize his quickness to work an advantage, hitting Sheamus with such moves as a monkey flip and his signature Rolling Thunder. RVD goes to the top rope but it proves to be too early, as Sheamus knocks him down and crotches him on the top turnbuckle. This is the perfect opening that Sheamus needs to start doing what he does best in a match, keeping his opponent grounded and dominating. He slows down the pace of the match and begins to wear down the Whole Fuckin' Show with all of his power moves. RVD was put in a sleeper hold and he was out of the match, the referee raising his arm twice only for it to remain in the air the 3rd time.
