I just realised something terrible, I am going to be overseas when this PPV is on. Going to have to try to find a casino in Macau that is showing the PPV at 10am.

Nice to see Patrick Cote back in UFC and he is a decent replacement for Franklin. Card would be awesome with just the mainevent but with everything else this should make it one of the best cards in a long time.

There is an unconfirmed report that Anderson Silva will be pulled out of the UFC 148 in Las Vegas on July 7 with Chael Sonnen due to persistent knee problems that will require surgery.


Michael Bisping has a cartiledge issue in his knee, but can and will fight if asked, and is currently standing by. It’s even possible that the UFC pulled Bisping out of his scheduled fight with Tim Boesche because they knew Silva wouldn’t need surgery, but of course this is just speculation.

The initial report comes from oracle4321 on the UG who posted this:


“I know you are going to torturer me on this one. But you heard it here first…Anderson is out, Bisping is in vs Sonnen”
At this time the report has not been confirmed by anyone from the UFC or in the Silva camp, however news of Andersons knee injury were known several weeks ago
Michael Bisping, the man slated to replace Silva, responded to a fan on twitter earlier today saying
“@Doghouse535 not long fighting chael for the belt soon! @sonnench @ufc @UFC_UK” – @bisping

Of fucking course this would happen, this better just be a rumor. That's going to be what we all should treat it as until official word from Dana.

Chael said it was BS when he was asked about it, so we'll have to see. Second time this rumor about Silva being injured has been floating around. Going to be pissed if it ends up being true.

Once again, an injury has effected UFC 148. Faber-Barao has been taken off this card and will now main event UFC 149 due to Jose Aldo's injury. Mendes-McKenzie moves off the prelim card and Ortiz-Griffin will now co-main event on here.​
