The original was one of my favorite action movies when I was a kid, so I want to see it for nostalgia value more than anything.

I sort of like the idea that they casted a less-macho actor to play Quaid, but I really, REALLY do not like that there's no Mars subplot. The whole thing with oxygen on Mars really made that movie imo and made it memorable among all the other shoot-em-up action movies Arnold did. It was a very creative plot.

It's also rated PG-13, which is kinda weird for me as well considering all the gore and foul language was pretty common in the original.

And if there's no Quato, I will fucking hate it.

That chick adds to the appeal for sure. But so does Kate Beckinsale.

Kate Beckinsale is a reminder of what Biel could look like when she gets older.

Well they probably thought that too until the realized it's a remake so everyone already knows the plot. And sense everyone knows the plot they probably also thought they should show as much as possible so that people would be able to tell it's different and may actually see it.

I didn't know it was a remake. Showing too much on a trailer is rarely a good thing. If they kept Kate Beckinsale as the villain a secret for one, that would made for a good moment in the film to me.

Will catch it on DVD doesn't appeal too much to make me see it at the pictures.
