TK also didn't retain Cody's option. He gave him his own belt to play with for a few years and then weirdly allowed him to walk. I think the falling out was between TK and Cody, not The Elite and Cody. thats my mild take

I don’t think Cody and The Elite got beef but I do think they had disagreements…

And that’s why Cody kind of created his own platform, void of them.
