I think the most fortunate thing for TNA is that they’re coming back at a time when there actually could be potentially some people that are disenfranchised even with AEW as an alternative.

Because as much as Tony would love to, he doesn’t have the room to fully utilize the roster that he’s got right now.
So we can potentially see TNA pick up some great names like potentially Miro or Andrade, or whoever. If they opt not to renew and don’t want to go back to WWE.

They can also start looking heavier at NWA and MLW so when a name gets big enough to leave, they can maybe try to snatch them before they’re on the radar of the bigger guys.
I agree fully and I am one of the biggest defenders of AEW and TK, he has too many men on staff imo and it inevitable especially with the death of Dark and Elevation that some talent will be disenfranchised (good use of that word btw!). AEW at a time probably felt they had to grab all those guys and vice versa, those guys were too big for current impact esp in the pandemic, only aew was paying that kind of dinero. I think it will help everyonee, including AEW who now can be more selective. same with WWE. and same with new TNA. ultimately if we have more people going to places they WANT to be, the better

Nostalgia so powerful that it works with 3 letters synonymous with failure.

I can’t speak for anyone else, but I’ve never said loltna while it was still TNA. Disagreed with their decisions once in a while like I do with any company, sure, but not til they lost their tv deal, tried to emerge with GFW and failed did I ever mock them as a brand and even then I was more lol Impact.

That's all well and good but it doesn't mean what I said isn't true......that it's weird people are excited for changing a name back to what it was when it was a joke.

That's like cheering on Pizza Hut going back to The Hut like it's 2014 and everyone hated their shit.

I hate to break it to you, but when they were TNA was their most popular. They had almost 1,000,000 and 1/2 people viewing every week. It was when they went to impact wrestling that they became a joke and lost all their viewers.

Also, the hut was their failed name rebrand. So going back to the Pizza Hut would be the equivalent of going back to TNA wrestling.

I think the important thing for TNA right now is expanding their brand and looking at getting underutilized talent from WWE or AEW when their contracts expire.

Scott D'amore will definitely have his hands full next year.
You say this like it hasn't been a common practice of theirs for years.

You got a point.

I think the biggest thing is actually being worthy of attracting larger names.

The grabbing undervalued and underutilized thing they already do.

I think everyone knows now that Impact is a great place to work as far as the backstage environment and creative fulfillment, but for people of a certain level, you still have to shell out a fat contract and who knows if they are able/willing to make that happen. With the rebrand coming and all though, it wouldn't be a terrible idea to at least offer something substantial to someone like Ospreay or Mone to see if that gets you somewhere.

for me it's going to be presentation, presentation, presentation. If they going back to TNA, it will need to look better on tv and not like the semi-graveyard some tv tapings are. if new eyes are going to be on the product on episode 1, they gotta make it count. I have faith that they will.

Like I came close to being a regular Impact viewer again in 2021 when they had a pretty fucking killer roster. For a very short summer I want to say they had good brothers, they had Jay white and they had the kingdom etc. if they can just find a way to just keep the talent they have some leaving and be able to maybe attract a few other names, they’d be rolling.

The way they’re making it sound now is that’s what’s taking so long to do the rebrand is they’re coming up with brand new titles they gonna have a whole new set. They’re going to be in bigger venues, they said.

so the only negative I can think of, for argument sakes, is the same thing that did end up happening to AEW. They can't expand the roster too quickly or they risk poisoning the well and ruining the vibe.

I don’t think they have the purse AEW does so I don’t think they could get too many people at once, but the one thing I would say about TNA is the same thing I kind of said about AEW when they first started being able to attract big names is no offense to the people who watch impact right now, but there’s a lot of people I would let go if you could attract better names personally.

But I’ll reiterate, I don’t think it’ll happen at the speed with AEW so it probably be more of a slow let some contracts run out as you bring in some really good people at the same time but it wouldn’t be a lot of new faces I don’t think
