I personally thought that match was kind of weird for like a big show, but I would say in hindsight, now that I think Alexander is definitely their top guy having him take it from Christian meant more because of Christian’s history with TNA I think.

It was kind of still true at the time because they were never gonna go back to the TNA branding, but now that the belt is gonna have the TNA name again he kind of retroactively will get that TNA honor.

I don’t forsee Shelley dropping the belt before hard to kill. He’s going to Main event a proper TNA show.

You still can technically. They actually sanctioned moose’s version of the tna championship before they merged it so after the Impact belts change back to TNA, there will be two TNA world title lineages.

I feel you. Though I think you could reasonably split hairs and say that Christian was a TNA guy who never won the belt while it was actually called the TNA World Championship. Hypothetically. Not that any such conversation would be meaningful in any way.
