Really I guess my disagreement more than anything is the label of "post-Omega" because if I was going to put a split in there, it would probably be more around at the start of the pandemic, maybe late 2019 even. They had lost the people they lost to AEW, they revamped the logo and presentation when they premiered on AXS TV in October 2019, they were soon to lose their World Champion/future figurehead, and of course they'd begin doing the empty studio shows for the foreseeable future. This all felt like a new chapter in the company moreso than Omega crossing over.

You can put the gap in several places in that time (it'd also be valid to place it at Slammi 2020) but I put it there because that's the spark when you see eyes starting to go back on the company again

Yeah, I think it was just what she decided to label it but I would start it at the start of the pandemic around March with a transitional period going back to probably September. So I agree with most of this.

I would just describe it as the Impact Wrestling on AXS TV era and call it a day. Final answer.

Personally I remember a lot of people starting to regain interest in Impact going back to at least Slammiversary 2018, and they continually gained traction with great PPVs from there. Omega coming over definitely made more noise with casual wrestling fans, and I'm sure earned them some lasting viewers, but let's be honest... I'm pretty sure a lot of the people who were checking in during Omega's run had stopped by the time he lost the belt.

Yeah, that seems to be pretty fair. It’s pretty close.

AEW couldnt even give IMPACT the common courtesy to have their own world title dropped on their programming either, it had to be done on Rampage.

The adage you never truly appreciate some thing until it’s gone. It’s probably the most true for the impact roster just before AEW kicks off. Before they lost the people, the pandemic and speaking out, they had a fucking phenomenal top to bottom roster as well as a Great booker.

I mean, idk. Rampage was still pretty strong in those days and Christian did do the job to Josh Alexander at BFG. I know some were annoyed that it wasn't Omega that lost it to to an Impact guy, but that's the cost of doing business I suppose.
