ProWrestling.com said:Hulk Hogan Suing the Makers of Cocoa Pebbles Cereal
Hulk Hogan is suing the makers of the Cocoa Pebbles cereal line. Hogan claims that a character on the cereal commercials was based on his likeness. The character's name is Bulk Boulder. Hogan's lawsuit claims that the character's name is Hulk Boulder, but that's incorrect. Hulk Boulder was also the name that Hogan used early in his wrestling career before joining WWF.
The Cocoa Smashdown commercial has the Boulder character wrestling Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble in the ring. Bamm-Bamm then comes in and beats up the Hogan-like character. Hulk, the federal lawsuit states, "is shown humiliated and cracked into pieces with broken teeth, with the closing banner, 'Little Pieces…BIG TASTE!'"
Hogan's lawsuit says that Post Foods, the makers of Cocoa Pebbles, never asked Hogan's permission to use his likeness. Hogan says he brought up the issue to Post in August of last year but the commercials continued to run.
Hogan says that he has been harmed by, among other things, "the unauthorized and degrading depictions in the Cocoa Smashdown advertisements."
Below is a photo of the Bulk Boulder character:
First of all, I never said the E is perfect, but to be honest, the giant gap in quality is too far wide to even compare either. RVD as champ has been a flop. And Sting, after doing that whole lot of nothing, getting a shot at the title and leap froggin basically the entire Top Ten is insulting to any viewer with half a grasp on the concept of continuity. Have they even brought up the fact that RVD got wailed on by Sting's bat for like five minutes, about SIX MONTHS ago? The whole feud is SIX MONTHS LATE. It's not fresh, it's two guys way past their primes, and sadly RVD looks more past his expiration date than Sting. I don't, nor do the millions that prefer the E to the hundreds of thousands of TNA fans, nor do the former TNA fans that are leaving the promotion in droves.
Anderson isn't doing anything we haven't seen or heard from him before. He's a talented mic worker, but outside of his matches with Angle, there's not too much to talk about.
Joe is awesome, he is what the company should build around, too bad he was strapped to an awful storyline that was scrapped, but unfortunately for TNA, some fans that have been watching do have a grasp for that continuity thing and it's really, really killed his momentum worse than the nation of violence debacle.
TNA is a big giant circular mess. Every six months its the same with the TNA appologists, the bad will completely outweigh the good and yet the excuse is "well, so and so is doing this, things are looking up over here because this guy is coming back, so and so is the best whatnot in the business". It's been the same story with this group for the past 5 years. Everyone wants to see them make it to the dance but TNA always forgets their shoes. And now the dance has been closed off to late arrivals and TNA is shit out of luck.
This isn't a TNA-WWE thing. This is a direct result of TNA being utter shit for the majority of the past 5 years, people can defend it for all of eternity, but the incredibly small amount of good product coming out of Orlando is so minuscule compared to the obscene amount of bad, that it's almost wrong to snap at someone for stating the obvious. It's not TNA bashing if it's true. Everything is quite telling of how bad of shape TNA is in. And it's all because of the bad and severe lack of good. You don't lose half your audience in six months if the product is as decent as it once was. Bad booking. Bad leadership. Bad product. Bad decisions. That's what to blame and it's not TNA bashing if you're calling it how it is.
If that's true, and I don't know, because if it was then they'd be hitting the road more, but then again TNA is plagued by poor business decisions. But as I said, if that's true the reason they don't tour more is because Spike isn't footing the bill since it's non-TV product and there isn't enough Panda money to pay for non stop touring.
Nope. The WWE is better than TNA right now imo. However to shit all over TNA when the WWE isn't perfect is ridiculous. Is Christian main eventing yet? I didn't think so.
Again, I prefer the WWE but they aren't perfect either. Cena is completely stale, HHH is stale, Orton is injured, Batista is gone, the guest host shit is Blue, Kofi sucks, Christian still isn't main eventing and it's about time this PG crap ended. Just some of the bad things going on in the WWE.
What has Christian done to deserve a main event spot?
^^^Exactly. People ride that guys jock so much on the net. I know he's a good worker, but he is a lame face and the fans just don't respond to him. I told people when he first came back that he wasn't meant to do nothing more than fill mid card space and here we are a year and a half later and he's doing just that.
Bro, again, I never compared it the WWE, I said it was solely a TNA thing. I don't understand why you keep attacking the E to justify you're arguments. But to counter you're E complaints...
ORLANDO JORDAN: The entire gimmick is just awful and isn't working. And now he's feuding with a green as hell, roided up Brit over what is presumably the company's second most important title, which is terribly named. Am I the only one that realizes that Global and World both encompass the same fucking thing? Not to mention that match they had Thurs. was just awful.
Eric Young: Jesus, was he joining the Band not the most predictable thing? He adds nothing to the group, he is inferior to both on the mic, but I guess with Scott the Drunk, he is the insurance. He needs to go away. You talki about Cena as stale, but I can see that and raise you an Eric Young, Kaz, 3D, Beautiful People, Jarrett, RVD-sorry, being an over stoner isn't fresh or exciting, it just demonstrates how low brow TNA will go to appeal to a few stoners, Kurt Angle-sorry again, awesome in ring but what has he done in like the last year since the MEM broke up? Feud with AJ, again, and be the "best wrestler in the world" like we haven't seen or heard that his entire time in the company.
The X division is one huge mess. An absolute afterthought after this division basically put TNA on the map. Sad, sad, sad.
Sting: What the fuck. His gimmick is that he just keeps swinging bats for no reason? Great gimmick! Not to mention stale as month old french bread.
Kofi sucks. I dunno, he's ok in the ring, but what does that make Eric Young, Matt Morgan, Kiyoshi, Shannon Moore, Shark Boy, Raven, Lacey Von Erich, Nash, and so many more that don't even get air time?
There is so much more I can continue on with, but honestly it can be easily remedied with straight forward booking. Again, it's not a WWE-TNA thing, it's an internal issue with TNA, they are rotting from the inside out.
Sting vs RVD is not fresh. It's new, but damn sure not fresh. That's like saying the Team 3D/Nasty Boys feud was fresh.
RVD is stale, and his entire gimmick is a joke. I can't take him seriously when he goes out there and says he's the best wrestler in the world and that he puts on great matches and whatnot and then watch him botch spots and just go through the motions.
TNA bringing back things we haven't seem in a while is not fresh, it's just lack of imagination. Them bringing ECW RVD is not fresh, it's just showing us they are too halfarsed to actually do something new with his character. And don't tell me it's too late into RVD's career to do something new, just watch Chris Jericho.
This is a problem of TNA in general. TNA uses wrestlers in the same characters we have seen in other companies. They wet Mr. Anderson and he is cutting the same promos he did WWE. I swear to God, word by word, are the same promos he cut in WWE, with the addition of "asshole". RVD is back in ECW, they have WCW running wild on us and Jeff Hardy is caught in some sort of vortex created by lack of control on his booking.
As for Christian and Rob Terry, we must be watching different shows, because Christian is certainly not one of the most over guys out there (outcheered by long by Kofi Kingston in their match two weeks ago and leagues below Rey Mysterio and Big Show) and Terry is falling flat. If you say McIntyre killes audiences, then Terry must send them out of the damn arena.
What has Christian done to deserve a main event spot?
Matt Morgann doesn't get air time? Have you not noticed his new "we" gimmick?
Christian is not more over than Big Show. In fact, the only time I have seen people rally behind him is when he claps during matches. Otherwise, they are fucking dead.
Van Dam's matches with AJ are a joke. I'm sorry, but just in their TV match I counted 3 botches from RVD, and that's not counting the 2 spots that AJ managed to save by improvising. He just seems to go through the motions of a match, not really trying and just waiting to get his stuff in.
BTW, you keep mentioning WWE and John Cena and how he's stale and how this is the RVD people want to watch. First off, this is not about WWE nor Cena, besides, I have not said Cena is not stale, but you are just basing on the principle that since something is OK for WWE, then it's OK for TNA. Second, if this was the RVD people want to watch, TNA wouldn't be getting such shitty ratings and be in a financial problem with him as champion.
Like I said, Mr. Anderson is cutting the same promo. He just adapts to the situation. His promo for Lockdown, was exactly, word by word, the same he did after he won Money in the Bank, in which he said "good guys finish last, thank god I'm not a nice guy, thank god i'm Mr. Anderson/Kennedy". He just added the asshole part, and that's just one example.
And again, you keep bringing up little things like "it's Cena the one who is stale and it's Cena the one cutting the same promos" and basically saying we can't bash TNA unless we bash WWE. The thing is, this isn't a thread about WWE being in financial issues or getting low ratings or employees not being paid. It's about TNA, and by now, it's pretty evident that what they are doing, what according to you people want to watch, it's not working
