As noted last week, the Knockouts Tag Team titles have been retired in TNA. There were several reasons on the decision, one being that the company feels they do not have enough Knockouts to make the title have any meaning.

The other reason reason they retired the title was because of all the other concepts the company currently has (Gutcheck, Bound for Glory Series, Open Fight Night, ect.) The feeling was that certain things had to be removed to keep the program from being cluttered.

- TNA has decided to drop the TNA TV title for now. The feeling within the company is they can always re-introduce the belt later down the line if needed.

Interesting. Now we've gone back to the old TNA.

World Title
Tag Title
X Division Title
Knockouts Title

TBH I'm happy about this. The title scene was getting cluttered. Now they've cleared their schedule a bit. I'm interested to know what they do with Abyss.

About time really tbh.

Should enhance the other divisions now too, good call.

One of the smartest things thbat they have done in a long time. If they had more than one how it would be fine but with what they have it doesn't work

They weren't using either title correctly anyways so I'm ok with it. It sucks though because when used correctly, both titles can be huge helpers in story lines and helping out careers. But when either the belt isn't defended that often or you give a woman's championship to a man, it dilutes the purpose of a title.

Tremendous. Best thing they could have done right now. The KO Titles haven't been defended in about a year, I'm sure and nobody gave a shit about the TV Title, including TNA.

That's very true

Totally forgot about the TV title? Is Abyss the one that was holding it? Is he still only popping up every now and then or is he full time again?

Every now and then. He hasn't showed up once since winning it.

It's worth noting that the TV Title with Abyss holding it is still on TNA's roster page. Maybe they're just not admitting they dropped it or maybe they want to formally retire it.

I assume it's just a matter of time since TNA is slow as hell with roster updates and such on their site. I'm guessing since it's Abyss that's holding it when he returns eventually he just won't have it and nobody will even notice.
