NWA World Heavyweight Champion: AJ Styles
TNA X-Division Champion: Christopher Daniels
NWA World Tag Team Championships: The Naturals
TNA Slammiversary
June 19th, 2005
Orlando, Florida
On the pre-show, Jarrett and Raven get into a brawl. But some fan dressed as Jeff Hardy gets in Jeff’s face so Jeff pulls him over the rails and beats him up. Now, Jarrett has been arrested and is being taken to jail. New DoA, Larry Zbyszko has replaced Jeff with RAVEN! In the King of the Mountain match.
Zach Gowen vs. Delirious vs. Jerrelle Clark vs. Amazing Red vs. Elix Skipper vs. Shark Boy
This is cool, they do not go balls to the wall, it feels really held back and they do the, you have to tag in to be in. Jarrelle Clark shined he hit some awesome dives and moves, Red was sloppy and trash at the beginning but as the match moves along he would get his groove back. I also liked that Delirious kept cutting off Gowen every time he wanted to get his shit in. Tower of doom is still trash, the match breaks down and everyone hits a big move but it pin cover get broken up. Shark boy ends up hitting Dead Sea Drop for the win. I legit think the only reason Shark Boy won this is he’s currently in a lawsuit over his name that was going on at the time. TNA trying to capitalize off it lul. Poor Skipper. 2 Months ago he was in position to be “THE” guy. **1/2
Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Shocker, Shocker says he came to TNA for competition. He calls himself the best Mexican Luchador. Alex Shelley comes over and puts Shocker over before saying he can do everything Shocker can but he can do more, he knows every wrestling style in the world and he has a counter for everything. See you out there.
Mike Tenay announces TNA Impact will now be shown on TNAwrestling.com
Alex Shelley vs. Shocker
So this is Shelly’s return match, TNA now bringing ROH talent back
Shelley totally out wrestles him and embarrasses him to start, he wrestles circles around him but when Shocker goes for his counter he looks so old and slows it totally fucks up the pace of the match. Shocker’s movements don’t look natural at all, it’s like when you do something and you have to say what your gonna do next in your head. Shocker goes for a moonsault but Shelley gets the knee’s up right into the chest that looks nasty, sadly, Shelley half ass works it so he would do some submission holds but then when he randomly lets go he would do some other shit that has nothing to do with the chest. Shocker doesn’t sell one bit to no one’s surprise. NEVER MIND THIS STUPID SHIT! MIKE TENAY ANNONCESES SAMOA JOE IS DEBUTING TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! West does a great job getting over that Shelley is owning Shocker at his own style and him having a counter for everything. Shocker gets a flash cradle rollup for the win. **1/4 - **1/2
Greatest Moments in TNA history voted by the fans on TNAwrestling.com - #5 AJ Styles beating Jeff Jarrett for the NWA Championship, 6/11/2003.
Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews 3LK, Konnan ask where BG's head and heart are and where his loyalty is. BG says his home is where his heart is, he says tonight they roll 3 deep and tonight his actions will prove where his loyalty is. They all dap one another up.
The Outlaw vs. Ron Killings
Solid, not much to write about. It’s a decent TV match. They don’t do much, it’s slowed down and everything makes sense. IDK what else to say, it’s just fine. Truth bumps around like 80% of the match and The Outlaw looks motivated and does some good things. Ron has this weird sloppy rollup for the win. After the match; The Outlaw attacks Ron from behind, he beats him down before grabbing a chair. BG runs out and takes the chair away, Outlaw turns his back to BG to hit him but he won’t do it, so Konnan runs out and attacks the Outlaw and shoves him. Outlaw bails and 3LK have more words with each other. Pretty great build just a shame all 3 suck, poor Truth he deserves better. **
Greatest Moments in TNA history voted by the fans on TNAwrestling.com - #4 Raven Debut.
Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews Team Canada, Petey says tonight The Naturals losing streak begins, Scott D’Amore says it doesn’t matter that The Naturals got a new manager the results will be the same. Roode says Lance Hoyt may have had a couple of wins in the past but not tonight.
NWA World Tag Team Championship: Team Canada (Eric Young and Petey Williams w/A-1 & Coach Scott D'Amore) vs. The Naturals
This goes 15 minutes, and it should never have gotten that for various reasons. 1, Petey is god awful and barely go 5 with his none storytelling ass. And 2, The Naturals are not babyfaces material, they bump like faces but they are at their best being this despicable cheating pieces of shit and they have these punchable faces. The weird part of the match, EY fakes a knee injury but Chase bumps him down twice with punches and gives one to Petey to, but EY “recovers” and dumps him to the floor giving the Canadians the advantage. I like the storytelling of it but the exhaustion was poor. I like the heat segment on Chase, for the most part, but they do 1 of the 2 thinks that pisses me off in tag wrestling, they begin targeting the lower back and that’s really good but then they just randomly story and begins targeting the head/threat with chokes and rest holds. Andy’s hot tag is one of the few highlights, he cleans house for about a minute but the numbers catch up to him. The match breaks down and both teams get some real good near falls. A-1 interfere but FUCKIN JIMMY HART comes out, he’s the Naturals “New advisor” LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! How do I not remember this, wait did I just imagine Shane Douglas’s Franchise Naturals gimmick? Anyway, Hart throws in the megaphone and Chase hits Petey with it and rolls him up for the win. God fucking damnit. Jimmy Hart? Really? **
Greatest Moments in TNA history voted by the fans on TNAwrestling.com - #3 LOCKDOWN 2005 loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
Backstage: Shane Douglas is with Sean Waltman, Shane asks Sean Waltman and asks how he got this shot, and he says he's one hell of a politician, as Shane might know. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! YES. He says he deserves it as much as anyone, and it's every man for himself, and he'll do what he has to do to get that belt.
Sonjay Dutt vs. SAMOA JOE
HELL MOTHERFUCKING YEAH! PRIME 2005 JOE!
Fuckin great for 6 minutes. I miss prime Joe, I miss the run up the ropes knee, I MISS THE FACEWASH/OLE KICK! I miss the rolling leg sweep into the senton backsplash. Sonjay also has his best showing to date, he shows a ton of heart and he keeps coming back after the beating weathering Joe’s storm and uses his speed to frustrate Joe. Joe hits the muscle buster followed by the rear naked choke for the win. **3/4
TNA Bound for Glory: October 24th, 2005
Bobby Roode (W/Coach Scott D’Amore) vs. Lance Hoyt
So this is cool, it’s like a modern version of the Truth/Outlaw match it’s technically fine and everything but it’s pretty whatever, it’s Lance’s best showing to date and Roode is getting so much better as singles he doesn’t look like a fish out of water like the first did. It’s crazy to look at Roode in 2005 and then 11/12 years later. Who knew the dude would become GLORIOUS! A hilarious spot is Roode goes hits an atomic drop but Lance no-sells because he HAS NO DICK! The finishing stretch is cool, we get like 5 Coach D’Amore interferences in a row before Roode finally puts him down with a Northern Lariat for the win. After the match, Scott D’Amore begins talking shit as Roode beats him down, but LANCE FIGHTS BACK AND CHOKESLAMS SCOTT D’AMORE AND THE MOONSAULT for the pop of the night. Team Canada run out as Lance bails. D'Amore is then stretchered out

Greatest Moments in TNA history voted by the fans on TNAwrestling.com - #2 Jeff Hardy’s debut. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
America’s Most Wanted vs. 3LK
So this is supposed to be the battle of the miscommunications and problems, but the problem is no team showed dissension for the entire match. I liked AMW working the aggressive role more of the heel role, just a shame I have to wait 5 months or so for AMW to become THE GOATS in my eyes. They isolate both BG and Konnan at times but 3LK are so trash that the match is so slow neither sell and it feels half-assed. The match ends when all four get in but the Outlaw comes out and attacks Konnan on the floor, but BG is too involved with the match to see it. That allows AMW to hit The Heart Foundations’ Heart attack for the win. After the match; AMW leaves and Konnan gets back in. They argue for a bit as Konnan asks for the dap but, this time, BG walks out on him! The Outlaw is waiting on the ramp for him, but he shakes his head, and he leaves through the crowd instead. **

Triple-Threat Elimination Match for the TNA X-Division Championship: Michael Shane (w/Tracy) vs. Chris Sabin (w/Trinity) vs. Christopher Daniels
Shoutout to Trinity, she maybe be ugly af but her outfit tonight it on another level, just a shame she doesn’t have the boobs for it either. Aside from that this ruled, opening 5 minutes are great super face paced, we get all 3 in doing counters and spots before the individual interactions. Sabin/Daniels ruled. Everything is really laid out really out, outside them breaking up pins. Like you, people do know it is an elimination. I wonder if it’s out of extinct or are they just Blue. Shane looked the best he has looked all year at playing the wormy, sneak, waiting heel picking his spots and even suckering Daniels into team with him just for him to be the first to turn, so he outsmarts Daniels at his own game. The match turns up now, all 3 gets their time to shine with dives, sports, big moves and control of the match. Tracy trips up Sabin, So Trinity trips up Shane. That leads to a CATFIGHT! Shane goes to hit Trinity with a superkicks but Sabin cuts him off with a kick. Daniels then has Trinity in the angel's wings position, as Sabin picks up Shane for the Cradle Shock. Now in my story, I’m gonna say DANIELS TELLS Sabin to hit the move or he hits Trinity with the Angels wings so Sabin does and eliminates Shane, but Daniels being the amazing piece of shit that he is hits her with it anyway. We then get 6 minutes of Daniels/Sabin goodness; it’s like their impact matches just shorter. Tons of really good counters and moves. The match ends when Sabin goes for one springboard too many and Daniels kicks the ropes from under him dropping Sabin crotch first onto the ropes, he then hits the Angels Wings for the win. ***1/4
Backstage: Shane Douglas interviews Monty Brown, he says Jeff being sent to JA-JA-JA-JAIL has no effects on him he will run through everyone in the match and they will all find out why he is the Alpha Male.
King of the Mountain match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship: Monty Brown vs. Abyss vs. Sean Waltman vs. Raven vs. AJ Styles
As soon as the bell ring shits breaks down, and Monty hits the POOOOOUUUUUNNNNNNCEEEEEEEE on Raven 30 seconds in. this is probably the best KOTM match, it’s about 15 minutes so they cut all the filler and unnecessary shit, all 5 mix up brawling along with high flying really well. I’m not gonna cover all the pinfalls just the ones that make the wrestlers eligible. Monty absolutely kills AJ off a pounce but Raven fresh out of the penalty box pulls AJ out and covers him for three. Sean and AJ are both in the box and decide to join up, I only know that because Mike snitches on them and then they shake hands on camera. Abyss hits Monty with the black hole slam, and pins him. So only AJ and Sean are the only ones left yet to qualify. I like Abyss’ hatred for AJ is so strong that he keeps breaking up AJ pin attempts, Sean then whacks Abyss in the head with a steel chair before placing him onto a table. He signals over, AJ hits a spiral tap to the floor through the table, and he covers for three. Late in the match, as AJ is climbing the ladder he drops the title but Waltman picks it up he hands it to him. HOWEVER, AT THE VERY LAST SECOND SEAN TURNS ON HIM, HITS HIM WITH THE X-FACTOR OFF THE LADDER, AND PINS AJ. They do more stuff as Mike Tenay completely forgets Sean turned on AJ so he’s about to shit on the match. Don West is useless and don’t correct him because he’s pussy. Abyss pushes AJ and Sean off a ladder to the floor. AND MONTY HITS THE POOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCE. AND RAVEN OUT OF NOWHERE WITH THE EVENFLOW! He gets the belt and climbs up, but Raven gets up on the other side. Abyss almost has the belt locked, BUT RAVEN GETS HIGHER AND KICKS HIM IN THE FACE! RAVEN GRABS THE BELT FROM HIM AS HE GOES DOWN AND HOOKS IT. RAVEN WINS! Poor AJ, getting a 2-week televised world title run. Don’t worry. In 11 years, the whole world will appreciate you. *** - ***1/4
