Thoughts On The TNT Title Belt

So, a new belt is always worthy of a new thread just to discuss the aesthetics and this one is no different. It's clearly based on the colour scheme for the NWA TV title which isno suprise given Codys respect for the history of the business and his dads history with the title.

But what do we think of the design?

In my opinion, it's far too simple - I get the smooth circle is the TNT logo, but it's just not appealing. The reason the NWA TV title works is the shape of the faceplate and the eagle, this has neither (and to be individual neither should it) but it also has no equivilents to make the belt look interesting.

Also, what's the building on the sideplates and why is it there?

I don't think it would be fair to judge the appearance of an unfinished belt. However I will say, I don't think the mansion was the best way they could have gone. At the same time, a lot of people ignore the side plates anyways so..

I think it's fine tbh, nothing special. I personally like the red strap and silver, the only real knock is it's WAY too similar to the Raw tag titles. Other than that it's pretty simple which I don't really mind either. I can tolerate it easily

Yeah, it got mentioned last night it wasn’t finished. Dang virus fucked things up a bit. Not exactly sure what it will look like, but once we see I’ll comment better then.

I mean. Idk. They coulda chose like some other Atlanta landmark since that's where TNT is (or at least was) based. I think they might have gone with this as an ode to Turner who is really responsible for WCW ever becoming what it was.

Supposedly what the gold plate is gonna look like and on top of that, there is a TNT jewel piece going over the black TNT.

Looks like the big gold belt photoshopped over it, but who knows. Gold is being added though and so is the main logo piece.

I think if the side plates are any indication, there will be a fair amount of dark engraving on the center plate before it's all said and done.
