Well Taker is a little hypocritical for saying that talents should stand up to their bosses because Taker never did that. Taker was the guy who would do whatever Vince asked him even if he didn’t agree with it because “business is business”. Dean Ambrose said he told Vince for months that he hated the storylines for him and would try to pitch new ideas and be ignored. So yeah it probably is a case of talents trying to pitch their own material and being ignored lol

Undertaker never just did what he was told. ....he just didn't cry about his character. ....he did the smart thing and would go "that's good, but what about this?".

Simple sentence.....goes along way.

A majority of the talent have no say in their character. Lets be real for a second though when Undertaker was the locker room leader you had people like JBL hazing the young talent in the locker room including stuff in the shower. So if that shit is completely gone from the WWE culture I'm perfectly fine with the talent being a little more soft.

Also, the attitude era they pretty much did what they wanted, now WWE has to answer to stock holders and Fox. Oh and the fact that Vince has lost his mind, and won't step aside.

Also I really dislike the whole 'X guy vetoes stuff so Y should do the same.'

That lowercard person isn't going to have the power to veto an awful angle or to even have the ear of the decision makers so it's understandable that they just eat the shit that's fed to them and hope to impress in spite of it.

Considering what we saw with Karl Anderson and Gallows shows you that their contracts for the most part are pretty much useless. So anyone who fights back is pretty much screwed if they aren't someone that are being focused on.

I question whether anyone in WWE right now, besides Lesnar, has actual creative control written into their contract. Sure, the likes of Rollins, Reigns and maybe Styles and a couple others probably have a better likelihood of convincing the office to go a different direction, but I think they're all probably still subject to do whatever WWE wants at the end of the day.

Still, I think even if you're low in the pecking order, it's important to voice your concerns and pitch different ideas. At a certain point, you hope that they realize that maybe they don't always know best, and the talent will have an easier time embracing their material and probably thrive more if you're allowing them some level of freedom with their characters.

I agree but it's easier said than done I bet. I just imagine there's a feeling of 'If you don't do it, someone else will.' Take the Retribution angle for example, those guys know that the outfits and names are dumb but I imagine there's massive amounts of pressure to just run with it or be replaced with someone else

He's not wrong. Everything is too clean and well presented these days. I must admit even the ThunderDome takes me out of it, I miss the real crowds.

They have the talent but they don't use it right. I'm not saying it has to be attitude era, but they could at least act like adults watch the show. Don't treat your viewers like idiots.

From what I've seen, Roman is doing a good job of reinventing himself as a heel. I always knew he would be good, it was natural for him.

So why doesn't he say it's because of Vince? We all know Vince is holding the company hostage at this point. Time has past him by.

If Vince wanted to fuck over his company like people claim he is, he'd just sell the fucking thing to NBC/Universal

And let's stop pretending Stephanie and Triple H would be a better alternative.....the fuck has Triple H done besides put the company in the red?

NXT has cost them money, never earned them any. His own show is getting beat weekly by some start up.

And what major superstar had he found, promoted and crossed over?

Shit, Stephanie is going to be worse than VKM. She had a lot of her college friends hired on as writers. With no knowledge of the wrestling business at that. When she takes over (Not HHH) that will really hurt the company. Hell, all of wrestling for that matter.

People keep bringing this up.

The writers suck, not because they don’t know about wrestlers and are from outside wrestling, but because they just suck, inside and outside of wrestling, none of them are successful.

Those in the wrestling bubble are just as bad.

You know who we need? We need writers from OUTSIDE of wrestling who were successful outside of it, just like Russo, Kreski, Ferrara and Blancha.
