The long-rumored Undertaker vs. CM Punk match at WrestleMania will in fact be taking place. The match was confirmed about a week ago, when the Undertaker told WWE he'll be physically ready to compete on April 7th.

Now, WWE's creative team is rushing to fast-track the feud with just over 5 weeks until the pay-per-view. One big issue with Punk's match against The Undertaker is that he's now lost 3 high profile matches - against The Rock at the Royal Rumble & Elimination Chamber and against John Cena on Monday's RAW. Punk remains one of WWE's top draws, but there is concern that another big loss could affect his perception with fans

If Punk loses again do you think the casuals will think he doesn't have it anymore?

I find it hard to believe casuals are going to think less of Punk because he couldn't do what Trips, Shawn, Edge, Batista, Kane, Bundy, Roberts, Sid, Snuka, Flair, Orton etc. weren't able to do and beat Taker at Mania. I also don't see how losing to The Rock and Cena, especially in the way he did, is going to seriously effect the way casuals view him.

Losing to Undertaker at WM never a bad thing, if anything just being in the ring with Taker in the grandest stage of them all elevates the statue of a superstar no matter he wins or loses.

I don't think it will. CM Punk actually facing The Undertaker is a plus in itself for his career.

They'll likely have Punk take Undertaker to his absolute limit and make everyone think at various points during the match that Punk could actually pull it off, even though logic would tell you that he shouldn't be able to do what people like Flair, Michaels, Triple H, Batista, Edge, etc. haven't been able to do. The match with Taker can do nothing but help Punk if booked this way. As mentioned here or some other thread, a loss can sometimes get you over more or just as well as a win can.
