I think WWE kinda fucked themselves by putting the "Cena is fired" stipulation on it because if by some miracle Punk ends up re-signing he'll have to win the match and we'll have to put up with more "Cena is fired yet he shows up every week and they come up with some bullshit excuse to bring him back" horseshit. Of course if he doesn't re-sign and Cena wins it's the same old shit again with super Cena winning again.

They obviously need to do a redo of the Angle/Lesnar angle in '03.

*Seth Rollins comes out in a Nexus hoodie, gets squashed by Cena*

*Punk switches places with him after the "match" and hits the G2S*

New champ!?

I'm not put off by the Cena is fired stipulation... like I said before, I'm sure the guy has some movies to film... they could use this as their way to get rid of him for a little while so he can do that... it instantly gives Rock some fire to use on Cena in the meantime as well...

The funniest thing on those shows was how after his alleged "3:16 moment" Punk was next seen jobbing in the opening matches. Yep, he's a big star they're investing in, and i'm sure he's gonna beat Cena clean at MITB.

So, dunno how many of you caught Vince's wording last night about Cena being fired. He didn't say that if Cena loses to Punk, he's fired. He said that if Punk walks out with the title, Cena is fired.

So, with that being said, I think that it might go down something like this:

Punk defeats Cena. Not sure how, doubt it's cleanly and I don't see Nexus being the difference makers here but Punk wins. Vince comes out, and right as he's saying Cena, you're fired, he's interrupted by whomever won MitB that night. He proceeds to head to the ring and wins the title off Punk with a little Vince interference. Cena's job is safe and he has a new feud with who I assume will be Vince's new golden boy.

If it's a work, then Punk is gonna get fucked out of the match by Vince, kind of the survivorserisess 97 Bret and Shawn.
If it's legit, then punk is gonna put on one hell of a show in his home town and lose to cena clean, say his goodbyes aa quick one mind you, then walk out...

Your idea would work perfectly if like Drew McIntyre was in the MITB. However, he's not, for whatever reason.
