EA has announced The Sims 4. According to EA’s official site, The Sims 4 will be released in 2014 and will be available on both PC and Mac. EA has confirmed to IGN that the title will allow for "single-player and offline" play.

Update: In an additional blog post, EA said "The Sims 4 celebrates the heart and soul of the Sims themselves, giving players a deeper connection with the most expressive, surprising and charming Sims ever in this single-player offline experience. The Sims 4 encourages players to personalize their world with new and intuitive tools while offering them the ability to effortlessly share their creativity with friends and fans."

“The Sims franchise is fueled by the passion and creativity of its millions of fans around the world,â€￾ EA wrote. “Their continued devotion to the franchise ignites the fire of creativity of the team at The Sims Studio, driving them to continually improve and innovate on one of the world’s most successful simulation game that has sold more than 150 million copies worldwide.â€￾

Meh. Probably be the same as The Sims 3. Can't really say much though until more information and what not is released.

I think it might be time to get into this whole Sims craze. It always looked like a fun type of game, but I didn't have a very strong computer when Sims 3 came out.

I've never had a good computer either so I always played the Sims on consoles. I enjoy them for a month or so and then revisit them months later. I really did enjoy the Sims 2 feature of you actually controlling the character instead of just guiding them. My cousin and I used to play that together all the time. I'm not sure if it was just a console feature though. Either way I look forward to this.
