Drawing celebrities into wrestling. Good or bad? Give us your own opinion, and provide a history of what you know.
I think its great, as long as its done tasteful. For the most part it is. Its good for the celeb, getting out in public, having a little fun, and make a little coin. Same thing goes for music artist. I think Rev THeory got a nice little buzz by singing the new randy orton theme. The first "big" celebrity appearance, was Andy Kaufman. This is a very classic part of wrestling history, if you haven't heard of it, its a must watch. It put Jerry Lawler on the map. This vid kinda explains the storyline a little bit.

That was epic, the fued continued for some big matchups...Kaufman could had some great promos too. There has been a few specials about Kaufman's career in the wrestling world.
After that we saw Mr. T go to the wwf to fued with Roddy Pipper. That was also another huge fued in the wrestling world. I thought that was done well.
Most of the celebrities with the wwe went to Wrestlemania. That was apart of the concept of wrestlemania. LT wrestled in the main event of WM 11 against Bam Bam. I had no problem with that match, but i thought it didn't need to be the last match. Chuck Norris was a enforcer at the royal rumble one year with Undertaker/Yokozuna match. Mike Tyson was a special Referee at WM 14 which i thought was well done, and worth the money they paid to get Tyson. Pacman JOnes in TNA, that was.....ok for what it was. He shouldn't have won any gold, i think he did. Im kinda just going what comes to mind here. The Jackass guys on raw....i could go without that, but all in all, its all good. Pamela Anderson/Jenny McCarthy WM 11 as guest ring announcers/valets. Alice Cooper at a WM with Jake the Snake. I thought K Fed with Johnny Nitro fueding with Cena was GREAT. I think there was a holyfield vs Matt Hardy boxing match. I really liked that segement as well. Snoop was at 24. Floyd Mayweather at 24 as well. ROdman and Karl Malone were in WCW for a bit. David Arquette won the wcw title. That was pretty bad.
Thats abotu all i can think of at the moment. I know there has been some small apearances of other stars, but those were the major ones.
Why is there so many people on that 2005 roster (I assume I'm missing something here =/)
Opps, my mistake, Tahts the top 500 wrestlers of 2005. I put the wwe roster in red.
Do you think (so far at least) 2008 has been a much btter year for the WWE in pretty much all aspects than 2007?
I wouldn't say "much" better, but the year has a slight edge. I think the improved PPV cards, put this year over the top. We got matches like Cena vs Batista, Batista vs HBK on the undercard, where we wouldn't have seen that last year. Generally it was just two big title matches, but now there is a little more depth. I thought WM 23, was better than 24. I thought this years SS was better than last. The champions this year have been a little better, and the fueds are about the same.
WWE Feud of the Year: Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho or Undertaker vs Edge
I'd say HBK/Jericho for sure. Edge vs Taker is mostly just in the ring. I can't stand to watch Taker/Vickie BS.
What do you think have been MOTY candidates this year?
Right now, Undertaker vs Edge Hell in the Cell is the clear cut winner imo. Other than that you have:
-Flair vs HBK
- The HBK vs Jericho matches
- The Elimination Chamber
Predicted WM 25 Main event?
I really can't come up with anything. I'll say Randy Orton vs John Cena, although i think it could be any combination of (Cena, Orton, HHH, Taker, HBK) I dont see Jericho, Punk, or Batista in the main slot.
Do you believe WM 25 has the potential, now the WWE has soo much huge talent and most of the guys on the injured list will return in time, that Wrestlemania 25 has the potential to be one of, if not THE, greatest Wrestlemania of all time?
No sir. There really isn't all that big name talent right now. Most the talent, isn't all that great. I guess its possible to have a top 5 mania, but i dont next year having the right guys to make it that special. The wwe would have to book the card perfectly, and we all know the wwe hasn't done a great job booking mania the past few years. Its been solid with good main events, but the undercard has been lackluster.
Do you think Undertaker and/or HBK will retire at WM 25?
No, i haven't heard any strong retirement rumros for either yet. I know WM 25-26 is the timeframe, but who's to say they want to go out with a bang. Look like someone like Mick Foley, who pops back up every year for a random match, it wouldn't surprise me if HBK did something like that. I would like to see some closure on the Undertaker character storyline wise. It doesn't really look like taker is slowing down much yet though. For all we know, we could see them around another 5 more years. So its tough to say. I think it will come down to injuries and how they feel, more than anything.
