Precisely my thoifht too, not to mention I actually think being VP has hamstrung her somewhat from being more vocal on certain positions like the Israeli/Palestine conflict.

She’s gonna need to find the right line to ride on that one though because anti-Trump is only going to get her so far if you anger too many center-right people that would’ve been against Trump.

I mean that also doesn't take into account the possibility of the Repub party having their own mini-civil war between the Moderates (who really should be named the "Stalwarts") and the MAGAs.

As long as Trump actually fucks off if he loses, I really don't think it'll be much of an issue. Some will just simply wake up, the more extreme ones won't be a large enough section. But maybe that's wishful thinking in everything moving more moderate

I think there’s gonna be a divide, but I wouldn’t really call it a war even because I think hard-core maga is a lot smaller than most people think. I think a lot of the establishment people were riding Maga because it was winning but once it stops winning they’re going to leave it I think the hard-core mags will split off and then will die off much like the similar tea party.

She handled it pretty well last night tbh, she called for a ceasefire and return of hostages. Additionally Walz being her VP is a clear sign that she's gonna be tougher on Israel in negotiations. Walz supports a two-state solution btw.

Pretty much my opinion. The Lauren Boeberts will probably try to form a MAGA party and fail, but most will move on.

too lazy to find sources on the few things it was, but from what I've seen a lot of her/biden are making center right policy moves atm. If she sticks to Abortion rights for social issues on the campaign, I think she will be fine.

Yeah every election so far I've seen people hardcore against trump in the primaries, talking about all the reasons why he's scum and shouldn't be president but once he wins they slowly work in how he's the best option before going full in supporting as if they were never against him...it won't be too hard tbh lol most will support whoever wins primaries

It's likely gonna split off but I do think you and Chris underestimate the size of it. I think they may compete against the regular Republican party for the votes which will complicate conservative elections.

Two-state is the way to go, but we need real solutions on how to get it. Israel waffles back and forth on it, but Palestine has never wanted it. And certainly won’t be swayed while Hamas exists.

I'm not saying the size rn isn't a large portion, but I'm saying you're underestimating how many of those will switch before they're on a losing side

That depends on if you mean the Gaza side or the West Bank side. West Bank has been plenty amiable to negotiation iirc.

Yeah, I think we’re kind of splitting hairs because I agree with this, but that’s the reason why I don’t think it’s a large portion because to me I think if you were willing to switch your not really a hard-core Maga I just think they’re pretending to care about Maga right now because it’s what’s winning.

The hardcore maga candidates seem to only be succeeding in the hardcore rural elections this year. Hardcore liberals also suffering defeat to more moderates I posted about a few days ago
