Trump and his ilk are also still coming from the talking point of 2020 being a "stolen and fraudulent" election, so of course they wanted to beat Biden badly. Now they're robbed of that and are basically on the backfoot because they don't actually have any other plan, their entire campaign was centered around Biden being old and "senile".

To play devil’s advocate, Harris was also on that ticket, and they’ll probably pivot to without Biden cheating this time, we can finally win our second term.

But yeah, the biggest thing they had was Biden’s poor media performances. Without that, they’re back to square one. Trump’s stupidity is basically admitting he has nothing now that he has to focus on Harris.

I think now is the time it just may. People were so sick of Biden/Trump II and it being too old white dudes we may finally get past the gender and race hurdle now that we have a fresh matchup and a fresh candidate.

A lot of people are saying she should still play it safe and pick an older (not old) white Christian dude as VP to offset the racists.

This is what I’ve been saying. If you can drive that hard and be confident and competent in all her media appearances, she should do it.

But yeah, can’t get complacent. Need to hit all the swing states and potential swing states and probably a few red states that are on the bubble and go hard on this messaging.

especially when the Rs currently dont really have much policy ideas beyond BIDEN IS OLD stuff. not to say the dems are visionaries either but u get what im saying.

this change might actually make a lot of ppl vote again, for better or worse. your point about the last election resonated with me when you said "it wasnt th biggest election turnout because Biden is the most popular guy ever" . ppl voted to get rid of trump. i think ppl want to vote to keep trump out but no one was excited at all about biden. i feel after some reflection its a net positive with harris because she might make ppl feel something where as joe made ppl feel nothing even if they supported the dems

It just should have been decided 6 months ago at least instead of right now is the biggest issue. It could easily be too late now but we'll see

Kinda, but I mean Trump tried really hard to. That’s like the only thing he campaigned that he wanted to address. He just wasn’t affective in getting Congress on board to fund it and when he tried to use military spending on it, the courts stopped him. And what he was able to pass, Biden cancelled when he won in 2020.
