Fair, but I can and those people were lucky because i could imagine the outcome if they came out while there

I don't even care if they want to blame the North for the war because that's the least stupid argument they have.

I don't personally agree that the Union should have simply let them leave, but I get where that belief comes from.

It's literally every other bullshit thing they believe including the successions weren't over slavery when every succession document included a line saying it was specifically over slavery and their CSA Constitution made it against the law for any state to attempt to outlaw slavery... "states rights" indeed.
