Agree with montana, I dont feel this wrestlemania too, in the last WMs, I had feeling before the rumble, pretty much after survivor series, this year i dont know, but i cant see, something amazing, unless Austin gets a match.
btw, agree with the fact that looks like the same dance and song haha.

Man.. what the hell is the main event card going to look like this year? It looks like it's going to suck.

My honest opinion? On face value there are very few main-eventers to hype up. There are the two event specialists you can rely on (Undertaker, HBK) and then what?

Mind you, the Road to Mania has not begun yet. I wanted to see a viciously heated feud between Edge and Jeff Hardy, and an extreme match to highlight XXV (TLC the obvious option).

For a 25th anniversary, you must expect some historic figures of past WMs to appear in some shape or form. Stone Cold to compete is an example. Plenty of others that I'd be unaware of, too.

Post-Rumble and you'll feel something more, surely!

There is potential for this Mania to be great. They just haven't started to build it up yet.

Best case scenario we would get something like this;

Taker vs HBK
Orton vs Austin (doubtful)
Cena vs Batista for the title
Hardy vs Edge TLC for the title

Thats a great card. As far as its legacy, WM 25 could be known for Taker or HBK's last hurrah or Orton's coming out party.

Like people have said, we will have a much better since of where things are heading once the Rumble is over.

See, thats my point. BEST case scenario for have those four matches. But Batista is injuried, so now Cena is left with an unknown opponent. HBK is no where near a fued with Taker, and Hardy/Edge TLC is the best thing SD can provide at the moment. Do we really think the wwe is giving to give up the MITB match for a Edge/Hardy TLC match?

As to comment on CMS on this (it appears we disagree) Your looking forward to:

Edge/Hardy (we've seen them fueding and having matches for the past 3-4 months by this time)

JBL/HBK ...Raw main event, at best!

Y2J / Taker's matchups ......I'll agree these are the wildcards, as far as matches go. But do we really think the wwe is going to give us something orginal.

I'm not trying to sound like a hater, but the wwe has done a horrible job in putting over the young talent the past 3 years or so. Realistically only Cena, Orton, and Batista are over. They've added Edge and Hardy to the mix, but they need more firepower. They need to push CM Punk or Kennedy into that slot.

This is Wrestlemania....you're telling me Hardy/Edge, and HBK/Taker is the best you can do? Should be some great matches, its just nothing original.

Their's still plenty of tiem to build storylines but they'll probably use the same forumala to hype this wm. MITB + Taker's streak vs great opponent Starter epic Hardcore match, Mid card showoff, chick match, Championship matches.

What I'm thinking is Big show opens the show with a intense hardcore/last man standing type of deal against a big player. Big Show/Edge I'm thinking.

Taker can face anyone he wants, Either someone calling him out or they rub heads during the rumble.

MITB will be stacked for todays roster but I could care less too much ppl imo.

I think they have something up their sleeves and theirs plenty more to be revealed before i start predicting matches though. Hardy's not going into WM as champ that's for sure

Add Stone Cold wrestling, Cena defending the belt (each of his feuds entering Mania are gold) and you have a great Mania.

What you are aiming is the fact of the lack of BIG, never seen before one on one matches, and to be honest, we are not getting a lot of those. I think that just like in WM24, they are aiming to the build up of the matches. HBK vs JBL will not be a classic, but just like HBK vs Vince, just to see HBK get revenge will do.

Edge vs Hardy, we have seen it before (not many times one on one tbh), however, I sense Vickie and Edge screwing Hardy soon, so WWE will depend on the storyline.

Whatever they decide to for Cena, either Cena vs Batista or Cena vs Orton, we have seen both matches before, so we are going to depend on the build up.

The only NEW matches we might get are MVP vs Kennedy and Y2J vs Taker.

There I thinkl resides your "problem" Monty. The matches that are "scheduled" to happen at Mania, we have seen them before, and doesn't seem to be huge mania encounters. However, I see it different, as I feel that the build up for the matches will do it. Cena vs HBK was huge by itself. Whatever they decide to give us this year, it will be all for the build up, but hell, they pulled it off this year, so I can live with that.

Besides, look at the big picture. We are aiming to an event in which we could get MVP vs Mr. Kennedy, clash of the picture. Cena vs Orton with a huge storyline involving the Legacy, whatever TWO huge matches SD provides us, and surely, they will, as they could pull off whatever combination they decide with HHH, Taker, Edge and Hardy. We have yet a match for Chris Jericho, a match for Big Show (WWE tends to give him an interesting match, either for good or bad, each year), and, a proverbial match from Stone Cold.

I see that as a huge event. No, maybe not, ON PAPER, as huge as Cena vs Triple H for the first time ever, HBK vs Vince, Edge vs Foley, but certainly an event that when the actual hype for the event starts, will be big.

That is because you dont like JBL, but I am looking forward to Edge vs Hardy, HBK vs JBL and whatever they decide to do with HHH, Y2J and The Undertaker.

I think we'll get

HBK vs. JBL
Y2J vs. Taker
Cena vs. Orton (DiBiase returns to screw Cena, joins Legacy, then starts a Marine 1 vs. 2 fued)
Edge vs. Hardy
MITB
etc

this will probably be a good Mania with a good undercard

The way Creative builds up these matches in their storylines/feuds will determine the strength of them. HBK vs. JBL seems ultra-crap for a Wrestlemania icon in the Silver Jubilee but it might turn out to be the highlight of the entire event, title matches included.

Keep this in mind for the doubters.

- Undertaker has not been unleashed for his 'Mania storyline (worried if it included the Vansen-led stable)
- The HBK/JBL angle is warming up.
- No idea where Triple H is being led towards. Maybe involvement in the above angle? That would have to be post-NWO however.
- Past greats of the WWF/E would be expected for cameo appearances. Gimmick matches, grudge matches, ringside appearances, whatever.
- McMahon angle? Surely Vince must appear for one night only at his historic big bash.

I am rooting for the Randy Orton vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin match. Reminds me slightly of The Rock vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan match, in which the crowd were roaring in unison throughout, regardless of the apron performance.

Hmm, i forgot about Christian returning. That should lead to something good at mania.

I guess maybe its the fact Wrestlemania goes with the same formula every year. Getting a little repetitive. I'd like to see them spice it up tomorrow. Give me an elimination chamber or something. I understanding the reasoning behiind not doing. But if i were booker, I'd have to spice up this card up somehow with the lack of fresh matchups and roster.

^^^Obviously Edge/Hardy in a TLC would be an option, but how about Orton Vs Cena in an ironman-match or a texas death match (1,2,3,pin THEN a 10-count to win), 4-way elimination IC-match, tag titles unification... We have previously agreed about doing away with MITB this year and if they do I don't see why they couldn't do all of the above (as long as the remaining matches were all standard stips).

TLC - Can provide all the hardcore and spots.
Ironman or deathmatch - Can provide the time honoured 'titans clash' in a more traditional wrestling mould whilst being all the more epic due to the amount of falls/near-falls.
IC-4way - Considering the likes of Regal, Punk + 2, there should be enough ring ability to pull of a damn good match.
Tag unification - We've already seen what MnM can do with a decent time slot and some good competition (against Punk/Kofi on Raw a couple of weeks back - BADASS match!)... I'm sure they can do it again. (+ I think this is the missing peice in the puzzle when it comes to WWE finally having something of a decent tag div again.)

The main thing I would like to avoid at WM is cage-style matches...
WM just isn't the place for merely bashing the crap out of each other.

^I agree with that... but some of those matches havent occurred in the WWE for like YEARS!!!

I'm also hoping for an Orton/Stone Cold match, the hype would be insane and would go down possibly as one of the best WM matches ever imo

As far as WHC and WWE Championship matches go, who knows who'll be the champion come say Feb. or March... so we dont really have a distinct clue on who could be fighting for those matches.

All the more reason to do them then, I say... Makes them feel a bit more special (rather than the same old Streetfight-kinda stips).

The hype would be insane, but I don't see the match delivering the goods.... IMO Orton has much more important business at hand than making retired, half-crippled guys(*) look good.

(*No overt disrespect to SCSA intended, but c'mon the guy visibly has trouble walking.)

No way in hell that both Cena & Edge won't be ME-ing... The question that remains is WHO will they face?
