Add Stone Cold wrestling, Cena defending the belt (each of his feuds entering Mania are gold) and you have a great Mania.
What you are aiming is the fact of the lack of BIG, never seen before one on one matches, and to be honest, we are not getting a lot of those. I think that just like in WM24, they are aiming to the build up of the matches. HBK vs JBL will not be a classic, but just like HBK vs Vince, just to see HBK get revenge will do.
Edge vs Hardy, we have seen it before (not many times one on one tbh), however, I sense Vickie and Edge screwing Hardy soon, so WWE will depend on the storyline.
Whatever they decide to for Cena, either Cena vs Batista or Cena vs Orton, we have seen both matches before, so we are going to depend on the build up.
The only NEW matches we might get are MVP vs Kennedy and Y2J vs Taker.
There I thinkl resides your "problem" Monty. The matches that are "scheduled" to happen at Mania, we have seen them before, and doesn't seem to be huge mania encounters. However, I see it different, as I feel that the build up for the matches will do it. Cena vs HBK was huge by itself. Whatever they decide to give us this year, it will be all for the build up, but hell, they pulled it off this year, so I can live with that.
Besides, look at the big picture. We are aiming to an event in which we could get MVP vs Mr. Kennedy, clash of the picture. Cena vs Orton with a huge storyline involving the Legacy, whatever TWO huge matches SD provides us, and surely, they will, as they could pull off whatever combination they decide with HHH, Taker, Edge and Hardy. We have yet a match for Chris Jericho, a match for Big Show (WWE tends to give him an interesting match, either for good or bad, each year), and, a proverbial match from Stone Cold.
I see that as a huge event. No, maybe not, ON PAPER, as huge as Cena vs Triple H for the first time ever, HBK vs Vince, Edge vs Foley, but certainly an event that when the actual hype for the event starts, will be big.
