Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

After watching the DVD, it goes to show how awesome Macho Man was. Even in his debut match, the crowd hated him with a passion. Kudos to WWE for really putting his greatest matches on here and not cutting corners.

But it wasn't just his best matches and they did cut corners. It's more or less just Savage's most well known matches.

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

How much more do you want?

Well, a better WCW selection would have been a good start. They went after the right feuds (DDP, Flair) but chose the wrong matches.

There's only so much you can put. They had a million WWE matches

Your statement doesn't make any sense. I say they chose the wrong matches to showcase a rivalry and you say they could only put on so much. I wasn't suggesting that they add more matches, but rather pick better ones.

Once again, your statement doesn't make a lot of sense since I never said the matches were bad.

Fine so just be happy with it. For the most part, they picked the best matches

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

The Savage DVD suffers from the same problem as Hogan's second DVD, they went with too many obvious matches. It appeals to fans with few or zero wrestling DVD's. However, once you buy some, you risk double dipping a lot. The best matches on the DVD have been on a million and a half other DVD's. So what are the new additions? You get Savage/DiBiase from Wrestlemania. Despite being whored out like crazy on Coliseum Home Video, this was the first time getting the match in a non-Anthology DVD. You get Ric Flair's Bash at the Beach 1995 match. Both matches are far under par of what their other matches provided you. Yet, the WWE played it safe and just included Savage's first title win for the sake of adding it despite what a masterpiece he had with DiBiase just a few weeks before the PPV.

Where all the Savage/Hart vs Flair/Michaels type matches? Those matches that haven't seen the light of day on DVD yet, but are so fucking awesome? Why are we getting "Just fine" matches like Savage vs Yokozuna while ignoring his legit best matches? This DVD was named "Macho Madness: The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection".

It's not ultimate though...

I mean fuck, the best they could do for hosts were Matt Striker and MARIA?! Where the fuck was Mean Gene?

I like this bit.....

Get the inside scoop from those who lived it, such as Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, as well as new interviews from Superstars who were inspired and enthralled by the nWo

......because it basically means you're getting recycled interviews from Bischoff & Hogan plus a bunch of analysis from current WWE guys who had nothing to do with the nWo and weren't even around during it's peak.

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

Big WWE DVD news for UK fans:

After 22 years of dedicating Silver Vision exclusively to WWE, the WWE and Clear Vision Ltd will part company on the 31st December 2012. Silvervision.co.uk (owned by Clear Vision Ltd) will continue to sell WWE DVDs, Blu-rays and WWE films after this date while stocks last, but we will not be able to offer new releases for sale on our site. SummerSlam 2012 and nWo: The Revolution will be the last new WWE releases we will be producing ourselves.

Clear Vision and its staff are saddened by this news as we have worked very hard over the years to bring the best possible service to all WWE fans and we would like to thank you all for your continued support over the years.

Silvervision.co.uk is looking forward to a new future which will amalgamate all the products and some new programmes of its mother company, Clear Vision Ltd, on one site.

Please be assured this will not affect your current and future orders in any way and you will continue to receive the same great service.

Silvervision

Means WWE should be announcing a new UK supplier soon, and Silvervision should be getting rid of stock on the cheap soon.

Sad news, I've used the company to buy DVD's from many times in the past and the service is exceptional. Pretty much a guarantee to get an order within 2/3 days of ordering whatever day of the week. Hopefully the new supplier can continue the standard set by them.
