Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

I've made quite a few posts about Silvervision and WWE's deal ending in this thread, but I feel I should make one last shout to anyone (especially UKer's) still thinking about getting something. Silvervision will stop selling WWE DVD's/Blu-Rays in the next few days. Right now, everything is "buy two get one free" with pretty much everything less than £6. I just picked up the following for under £18.

- No Mercy 2008
- Extreme Rules 2009
- The Bash 2009
- Night of Champions 2009
- Best PPV matches of 2011 (3 discs)
- Best Ladder matches 2 (3 discs)

Re: Wrestling DVD's Thread!

Man that silver vision sale was amazing. I bought the following:

CM Punk - best in the world.
Iron Will.
Top 50 Superstars of all time.
The legacy of stone cold.
Wrestlemania 25.
Ladders match 2
The best of King of the Ring.
The top 50 OMG moments.
St Valentines day massacre/backlash.
Tagged classics - Action & Hardcore.

All this cost me around £50.

If its the very first one (with JJ Dillon instead of War Machine) then I totally agree. It's my MOTY from 1987 and the War Machine version is also in my top 5.

Yeah, awesome match, so many memorable spots. Love Tully getting pummelled over and over again while he's bouncing in the ropes, Animal dead-lift smashing him into the cage and that thunderous clothesline that Animal hits on Anderson when he tries to jump off the top is a thing of beauty. Oh, almost forgot the look on Flair's face when Koloff no sells his chops, hilarious. What a fucking great match, easiest five star rating ever.

Plus, even though I've never been a huge Luger fan, his first moments in the match are fucking intense with him just KILLING everyone and screaming at the top of his lungs. Can't remember who it was but he just mauls someone with a monster powerslam and its crazy!

Oh man, yes, Dusty's babyface comebacks in that match were nuts. The crowd was losing their voice when he hit some of those bionic elbows. Fuck, I just watched it for the WC list but I totally want to watch it again right now!
