I think it's best for business for the Titans to trade him away to a playoff contending team instead of wasting his final years on a rebuilding team like ours. So yeah, I'm fine with D-Hop being traded to the Chiefs. He's gonna be a factor on that team.

I’m kinda surprised the Titans didn’t get more.

But D-Hop is about the same age as Davante so it makes sense they fetched the same haul

do actual fair trades ever happen in NFL or is always one team getting completely fleaced for a megastar player so they save money?

Those megastars bust enough and then the teams are stuck shitty with no draft picks that I'd say it's "fair" in a different way but way more of a gamble than a traditional trade

tbf Hopkins isn't what he used to be right now so I don't think it's super one sided.

well its more that in most leagues a 4th rounder is essentially just giving away a player for free. anything outside the top 15 in NHL for example are risks and when u get to round 4 ur talking about minor league hopefuls. Is a 4th rounder worth anything in the NFL? I guess in a league where u can cut it probably hurts trade value too.

idk i just never find any trade ever fun or cool in the NFL pretty much ever. It's like 99.9% just a big team taking a player from a shit team in hopes they are still good. I find it very....not exciting lol

fwiw that trend is happening in other leagues too I just find it's the worst in NFL and sometimes NBA, tho they actually trade player for player there sometimes which i find almost never happens in nfl

4th rounder can still be valuable but no it's not great. It's more the teams desperate to unload bc they've overpaid and aren't winning games

NBA has exciting trades especially at deadline at least, but their draft pick trading is the hardest to fucking follow lol

Plus its better to get something for these players that are on an expiring contract who probably aren't going to resign for your team in the offseason. Which is why I really hope the Panthers deal Diontae (besides the fact that he's lazy and has a bad attitude, lol) because no way he's coming back next year.
